We were honored to be the first wedding at the Herring Creek House. I knew from my history with the property owners and their Director of Events that it was going to be perfect and it was. Their attention to detail and hard work to get the spaces ready were over the top. Every part of the weekend exceeded our expectations. It is a wonderful venue with lots of flexibility for different set ups and scenarios. The options are endless to personalize this property to your needs. We highly recommend the Herring Creek House!

We got married at Veritas last weekend and the venue was outstanding in every day. The weather and views were beautiful (go for early spring!), the food was terrific, and the service and support were excellent. In particular we wanted to commend Jessee, the Veritas events manager, who was our Day of Coordinator. He responded to all our questions in a prompt, professional and low-key way and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a success. To give an example: he overheard me praising one of the appetizers (get the pastrami bao buns!) to my new brother-in-law at the end of the cocktail hour, and found and brought him one of the last ones so he had a chance to try them. We can't recommend Veritas more highly as a wedding venue, especially if you're looking to combine a beautiful spot with excellent food and service.

Historic Jasmine won me over years before my engagement. As a wedding vendor myself, I fell in love with the charm of the grounds and the ease of working with the Smith family. I could not imagine my wedding day anywhere else! My husband fell in love with the venue the moment we turned down the long driveway. The venue has a great deal of character and a cozy ambiance. The owners go above and beyond to assist their clients and the wedding vendors on site. We highly recommend Historic Jasmine!

The Jefferson is a gorgeous hotel and the guests that were able to stay there had a wonderful experience. They sent champagne and chocolate strawberries to our room on the wedding night and made every accommodation for dietary restrictions at my bridal luncheon in the library. Our only complaint is that we were told it would be easy to add rooms to our block as needed but the hotel was fully booked 6 months in advance and many guests struggled to find accommodations on a very busy weekend in Richmond.

The Mill at Fine Creek was the perfect wedding venue. Many of our guest said it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. The food was excellent and the staff made everything run so smoothly. Our coordinator, Lexi, was fantastic leading up to and throughout the event. She answered all of our questions promptly, and helped us think through all the details. The chef helped us create a unique menu and even cooked a favorite recipe of ours that we gave him. The cottages were great for guests to stay at and the Millers Cottage for us as a couple was incredible. The Mill really knows how to manage details and the space itself is incredibly beautiful. We didn’t need much in terms of decoration to pull the space together! The list of vendors The Mill works with were also incredible. We can’t thank The Mill enough for helping us create a day we’ll remember forever!

We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our destination wedding than The Berry Hill Resort and Convention Center. Our planning journey began nine months before the big day. After touring several venues in the Richmond area and feeling underwhelmed, we discovered Berry Hill—two hours away, but absolutely worth the drive. The pricing and amenities almost sounded too good to be true, so we fully expected to find a flaw when we visited. Instead, we fell completely in love. The moment we walked into the mansion, we knew it was the place. It was even more beautiful in person—grand, elegant, and full of character. An added bonus was that everything was handicap accessible, which was essential for my dad and made the weekend comfortable and stress-free for him. Our original coordinator was knowledgeable, friendly, laid-back, and made the entire planning process incredibly smooth. She even gave us her personal cell phone number and was always prompt, responsive, and reassuring. About three months before the wedding, she left the venue, which could have introduced stress, but Stephanie stepped in immediately. She introduced herself, explained her years of experience, and let us know we were in great hands. She was absolutely right. Stephanie handled the final planning, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception with total precision. She anticipated every detail and managed each part of the wedding flawlessly. I felt confident every step of the way that nothing would be overlooked—and nothing was. The staff overall was excellent. The hotel rooms were gorgeous and surprisingly affordable, making it easy for guests traveling from out of town. The event spaces were stunning and grand, offering an experience that felt luxurious without the luxury price tag. Truly—you get twice the wedding for half the price. The grounds were beautiful for our mid-November outdoor wedding, and both the food at Darby’s Tavern and the reception were fantastic. If you’re considering Berry Hill for your wedding: run, don’t walk, to book it. It exceeded every expectation and gave us the perfect wedding day. We could not be more grateful.

We couldn't have asked for a more stunning and seamless experience than what we had at Mountain Lake Lodge. From the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding day. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with a gorgeous landscape and a warm, homey feel that created the ideal backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. The attention to detail is extraordinary—every corner of the venue feels like it’s been thoughtfully crafted to make your event unforgettable. Whether it was the beautiful outdoor spaces with sweeping views or the charming indoor areas, Mountain Lake Lodge offered the perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort. We were blown away by how smoothly everything went, thanks to Lyndsi and the rest of the catering and events teams who went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. They were professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day as special as possible. We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue, and we’re so thankful to Mountain Lake Lodge for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. We loved getting married at Wintergreen! We did our initial tour and booking process with Kierstin. We were introduced to Josie about 6 months before our wedding after she joined the Wintergreen team. Both Kierstin and Josie were wonderful to work with. They were incredibly responsive and organized, and they both worked hard with other Wintergreen event staff, culinary team, etc to make sure everything was seamless on our day. We had our ceremony at the Blue Ridge Overlook, cocktail hour at the Shamokin Terrace, and reception at the Blue Ridge Terrace. Additionally, we also hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Lookout Lodge. We loved each event space we chose! Most of our guests were flying in for the wedding, and we heard so many compliments from our guests about how nice and helpful the Wintergreen staff was. Both of our families stayed in multiple houses and we also stayed in a condo room during the week that we were here, and all the accommodations we went to were clean and had great views. If you are looking for a weekend escape for your wedding with breathtaking scenery- this is it! The pricing was quite straightforward, transparent, and honest (they refunded a few costs on items that we had not noticed went unused). The team made many accommodations to help bring our wedding plan to fruition! We are thankful for the entire Wintergreen team and would absolutely recommend getting married here!

If we could give Montfair Resort Farm more than 5 stars, we absolutely would. From the moment we toured the property to the moment we drove away as newlyweds, everything was beyond what we could have imagined. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning mountain views, peaceful lake scenery, and the most charming rustic elegance that made our wedding feel like something out of a dream. What truly sets Montfair apart, though, is the people. Every interaction was met with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. They made the entire planning process feel seamless and stress free, always willing to answer questions and help bring our vision to life. On our wedding day, everything ran flawlessly, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every second. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the property was and how special the entire experience felt. The cabins were such a wonderful bonus, giving our family and friends the opportunity to stay on site and continue celebrating together throughout the weekend. Montfair wasn't just a wedding venue but it became part of one of the most meaningful weekends of our lives. We are incredibly grateful for the memories we made there and would choose this venue a hundred times over. Thank you, Montfair Resort Farm, for helping create the most perfect day.
