Banquet Hall Wedding Venues in Richmond

The Mill at Fine Creek was the perfect wedding venue. Many of our guest said it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. The food was excellent and the staff made everything run so smoothly. Our coordinator, Lexi, was fantastic leading up to and throughout the event. She answered all of our questions promptly, and helped us think through all the details. The chef helped us create a unique menu and even cooked a favorite recipe of ours that we gave him. The cottages were great for guests to stay at and the Millers Cottage for us as a couple was incredible. The Mill really knows how to manage details and the space itself is incredibly beautiful. We didn’t need much in terms of decoration to pull the space together! The list of vendors The Mill works with were also incredible. We can’t thank The Mill enough for helping us create a day we’ll remember forever!

Oakdale's staff and venue was absolutely perfect! My wife and I had a rather lowkey wedding, so being able to rely on the beautiful surroundings and atmosphere made our lives so much easier! The staff was flexible and worked incredibly hard to make our day perfect! People told us that stuff will inevitably go wrong on our wedding day, however the staff made sure nothing made it to us and we didn’t have to lift a finger! Can not recommend more!

We had our Wedding and Rehearsal Dinner at Sunday Park. From the initial communication with Amanda to Kristan supporting us on day of, we had the BEST experience! We found the venue to be affordable, and absolutely beautiful (especially in the spring time) requiring minimal decorations. The waterfront ceremony space speaks for itself! One thing my Bridal Party keeps raving about is the appetizers waiting for us immediately after the ceremony. Highly recommend!

The John Marshall Ballrooms was absolutely wonderful — I had a truly perfect experience hosting our event there. From beginning to end, everything was handled with professionalism and care. Communication was excellent; anytime I had a question, Kaitlyn responded quickly and helpfully. I had several guest count changes fairly close to the event, and every time the team was kind, understanding, and accommodating. That flexibility meant a lot. The venue itself is stunning — honestly one of the most beautiful spaces in Richmond. The food was excellent as well; many of our guests commented not only on how delicious it was but also how beautifully it was presented. Everything looked stylish, polished, and very aesthetically pleasing. The staff was fantastic. Plates were cleared promptly, service felt seamless, and the bar service was great too. Overall, the entire experience exceeded expectations. Our guests clearly enjoyed themselves, and the beauty of the space combined with the level of service truly elevated the event. I would absolutely recommend John Marshall Ballrooms to anyone looking to make their event extra special. Planning meetings, vendor coordination, and every step leading up to the event were smooth and enjoyable — they really make you feel supported throughout the entire process.

Bartizan was the perfect venue for our wedding! The size of the venue fit our guest count of about 100 people comfortably and the layout of the White Oak room and Event Hall was perfect for our wedding timeline. The wooden wall in the Event Hall served as a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, and having the dedicated bar in that room was very convenient during dinner. Our meals were delicious and beautifully displayed, and it was incredibly convenient having meals, drinks, linens and dishes all provided through the venue. The White Oak room was awesome for dancing, and the mezzanine and patio attached to that room served as great spots to take breaks from dancing. Our event coordinator, Stephanie, was great to work with. She was very quick to respond to all of questions and happy to work with the ideas we had for our wedding. All of they day-of staff and servers who supported our event also did a great job, taking care of all our guest's needs. Finally, the location of the venue was very convenient for planning our other wedding events around - we managed to find a hotel, after-party location, and morning-after brunch location all within walking distance of Bartizan. Highly recommend Bartizan for a Richmond wedding!

Southern Pines had such beautiful grounds and facility for our October 2025 wedding. Kathryn and her team were so flexible about our wants and needs throughout the entire wedding weekend. I would highly recommend the venue for their amenities, affordability, and genuine customer service. Wish I could get married there again!

We fell in love with The Outlook at Saddle Ridge the moment we saw it—but it was Maria and Maranda who made it feel like home. From the very first tour, they treated us with genuine warmth, kindness, and care. Their attention to detail, quick communication, and thoughtful approach immediately put us at ease. Wedding planning can be filled with big decisions and unexpected stresses, but with Maria and Maranda, everything felt manageable. They answered every question, kept us on track, and helped us build a day that reflected exactly who we are. Their punctuality, organization, and calm energy became the anchor we didn’t even know we needed. On the day of the wedding, they were nothing short of phenomenal. Every moment unfolded flawlessly. Whether it was ensuring the ceremony started right on time or making sure we had a quiet moment to breathe between events, Maria and Maranda were always one step ahead. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how stunning the venue was and how smooth everything felt. And that was entirely because of the two of them. They weren’t just coordinators—they were partners, cheerleaders, and problem-solvers. Maria and Maranda gave us the gift of being fully present in our moment. We couldn’t imagine a better team to bring our wedding to life.

Amazing views and perfect setting for a wedding with a smaller guest list. (100 or less)! Everyone was extrodinarily professional and accommodating from the Venue Coordinator to the Catering manager and staff. The food was delicious. If you use this venue for your reception, you are required to use their catering service but don't worry, the food is amazing with a huge array of items to choose from with provisions to suit every dietary need. Cannot recommend this Venue enough! You won't be disappointed.

July the 18th was our big day. I cannot express how great our experience was at The American Hotel. Michelle Annese (venue manager), and her assistant went above and beyond. I could write a whole page of details on how she put her heart into making sure my day was magical and stress-free. With weddings being stressful enough, then we added Covid-19 into the mix. Many precautions were in place and Michelle even sanitized the bathrooms on a 20 minute cycle on top of everything else she did. Another plus is the charm of this venue allows minimal decorations as well. Best prices in comparison to any venue around our area. Again another bonus... the location of this building allows for beautiful photos at our local train station dock and bridge. I also want to mention the owner Margaret, although there was never a face to face due to her living location, she was very kind in our email conversations. There was no problem when we had to cancel our orginally date and reschedule due to the pandemic. No regrets on our choice, 100 percent satisfied!!!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Inn at Willow Grove, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From start to finish every detail was handled with such care by Catherine, Lisa, and their entire crew, making the experience seamless and stress-free. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Its elegant, peaceful, and perfectly suited for such a special occasion. The accommodations were top-notch, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and comfortable everything was. What truly set this experience apart was the staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The service was exceptional, and it felt like they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The food was incredible as well! The striploin and chicken dishes were cooked to perfection and you HAVE to try their brunch French toast brick. Every detail came together flawlessly and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to start this new chapter. If you are considering the Inn at Willow Grove for your wedding or special event, I cannot recommend it highly enough!
