Country Club Wedding Venues in Richmond

We had our wedding in November at Old Trial and it was the best day imaginable! The views of the mountains were better than I could have dreamt, and the day itself was incredibly smooth with no mishaps. The personnel at Old Trail, especially Alana, were overall a joy to work with. They are super accommodating with any reasonable request, and they are timely in their communication. As far as the wedding preparation and the day of the wedding, everything was an absolute dream. The food was also incredible. We had a buffet style menu that had dairy and gluten free options and had endless compliments on the quality of food. The chefs also made some Turkish appetizers on request during cocktail hour which were DELICIOUS. When it comes to pricing, weddings these days are expensive. That said, Old Trail offered a FAR more reasonable price than other local venues of similar quality. My only advice to others planning a wedding would be to account for the price of drinks in your budget, which most wedding venues may not provide upfront, but Old Trail tried to make all pricing as transparent as possible. The Dominion Club and its amazing wedding coordinator, Desirae, brought our wedding dreams to life for the most magical day! I can’t recommend this venue and team enough. From beginning, middle, and end, we were so well taken care of on such a personal level. The attention to detail, provided seating, linens, cake stand, card box, and perfectly cooked wedding meals, The Dominion Club enables you to bring your wedding vision to life in a seamless way. The gratitude I have towards Desirae, Hope, and the rest of the team at Dominion Club is overwhelming. We were guided and supported each step of our engagement and the wedding day was executed beyond my expectations. THANK YOU DOMINION CLUB!!! We will forever cherish our beautiful day with you!

We are so happy we chose Brandermill for our wedding reception! It was affordable price for a very beautiful venue. We had never been to a country club and were originally thinking more "barn wedding," but Brandermill was actually much more convenient and affordable. And with 3 walls of windows and an outdoor pavilion, it still felt a little "outdoorsy" while also still being very elegant and sophisticated--the best of both worlds. We had lots of options as far as times, food, drinks, etc., which was very nice. We were able to host about 100 people in the ballroom with plenty of room to dance. Brandermill was the easiest vendor we dealt with. Molly is AMAZING! She responded to all of our questions via email quickly & thoroughly and was very accommodating with our requests for what we wanted. My husband (the groom) has severe dietary restrictions, and they were accommodating with that as well. Speaking of, the food was SO good! Molly and her team did an excellent job in the lead up and on the day of our wedding, taking care of every detail! Everything ran very smoothly and we really felt taken care of. The reception was beautiful, we had a great time, and we are very grateful!! P.S. Sorry for the black-out of the watermark (we have permission to share the photos but can't download more than a certain amount before a certain date for whatever reason). Also, the interior photos were taken before everything was fully set up.

We held our wedding at The Club at Glenmore in Spring 2025, and we were so happy with Glenmore as a venue! We were looking for a close-to-all-inclusive venue to minimize how many different vendors we'd need to work with, and we were so glad to find that in Glenmore. We were especially happy with the events manager, Kim Hayden, and the serving staff. Kim stayed in close communication with us and our wedding coordinators from booking to the end of our event, and she had a calm, caring demeanor throughout the wedding. When a guest had a minor medical emergency, Kim was discreet but responsive, quickly helping to ensure the guest was able to rest and enjoy dinner in the cool clubhouse (it was a warm day!) after he had been checked out. She was a professional and fun presence throughout the process. The venue ensured our wedding was well-staffed, and we really enjoyed that everyone on the serving staff was so pleasant, friendly, and attentive. We also had great feedback from our guests about the food. Chef Frederick hit it out of the park with all of our dishes, and he was so flexible for guests' dietary needs. We were impressed with how well everything was cooked even with a buffet style meal and truly did get a lot of compliments from guests about the meal. We went with the Pavilion for our reception, with our ceremony on the 10th Tee and our cocktail hour in the green space between. The space ended up being really perfect for us - throughout cocktail hour and the reception, guests were on the dance floor or resting in the Pavilion, seated around the two fire pits in adirondack chairs, playing yard games, or checking out the nice view of the green, so there was something for everyone and plenty of space for our guests to enjoy. We would choose to work with Glenmore again if we could go back in time! Definitely a crowd-pleasing venue with a lot to offer.

Megan & the Estate of Independence staff are exactly what you want for you big day! I cannot thank her enough for making our big day PERFECT. From day 1 she has been amazing & had every step ready for us. They were amazing when accommodating our handicap family & guests. Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the day of was everything we wanted. Independence has an amazing menu to choose from. The bridal suite upstairs was such a fun place to hang out and get ready. The balcony was perfect to walk out on and gaze over to the ceremony site. The grounds create the most perfect pictures for lifetime memories. We have only heard great things from our family & guests as well. One of the biggest perks for me was Megan's day of demeanor and how she made sure I was happy and had everything we needed. 5 stars truly is not enough for Megan, her staff, and Independence.

I cannot rave enough about Greencroft Club. I was blown away by the staff at Greencroft, who made sure we had the best rehearsal dinner and wedding ever. The food was fabulous and there was fantastic service at the bar. Our wedding was outside under the beautiful oak tree and our reception was in a tent outside. The tree is stunning in fall and made for the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. Finally, Katy Kirby, our venue coordinator, was an absolute rockstar. She took care of every detail, all trouble-shooting, and put us totally at ease. Amid the overpriced wineries and estates, the Greencroft Club is a total hidden gem!

Hidden Valley Country Club was the most perfect venue for our dream wedding. The beautiful mountains surrounding the Roanoke Valley made for the most amazing backdrop. The team at HVCC made the ballroom and cocktail lounge area look beautiful. We are so grateful for all of the hard work the HVCC team did to make our day amazing - especially Amanda H. Highly recommend using this venue! They are awesome!

Our experience with the University Club, & specifically Lydia Urban, was the perfect beginning to our son’s wedding weekend. Lydia & her entire staff’s kindness & professionalism was unmatched. Their attention to detail & the quick response to every question was so appreciated. Everyone raved about the food as well! It truly could not have been better. Thank you the bottom of our hearts for making this event so magical for this Hokie family!

We had the best experience from the beginning of our search to the follow up at the end of the event. Stephanie was a dream to work with and has made the process extremely easy and fun! We did not have a planner for our venue, and although they did not provide one, there was absolutely no need for one because they handled everything like professionals and executed to my timeline. The detail that they paid attention to and the attentiveness that was provided from beginning to end on the day of was amazing. I cannot say better things about Stonehenge golf and country club.

I had an amazing experience with Salisbury for my wedding reception. The accommodated every single thing we wanted. The staff are some of the best and most selfless, caring people I have ever meant. They really made my wedding the absolute best day ever. Thank you so much SCC!
