The owners are both very nice people! They helped my husband and I alot! The venue they have is absolutely stunning, with mountains surrounding us! I am very happy we had this place as our venue, as we had our close friends and family staying in the lodge. I really appreciate everything David and Ginger have provided and what they have done for my husband and I! Absolutely amazing people with an amazing venue!

We used the Kimpton The Forum Hotel for our wedding weekend and it was a DREAM. By far the nicest accommodations available in the Charlottesville area, and pricing-wise, it beats competitors by a mile for a much nicer experience. From the minute we arrived for our wedding weekend, staff here made us feel seen and helped us with our every request. We were able to book a suite for bride and groom and getting ready, and Shannon helped us so much in securing our room block, extending it, and coordinating our stay. We also opted to have our wedding welcome party here, which was truly perfect. A huge thank you to Jake for the wonderful support provided in planning. The bar staff was so kind and soldiered through a very hot evening outside on the Camilia Promenade (which was a BEAUTIFUL venue) and choosing to host the welcome party at the hotel was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The food and drink were perfect. This was also a great spot for our guests, who could find something to eat at one of the restaurants when needed. We found ourselves gathered around the bar at night which was just such a lovely way to spend time together, and the accommodations themselves were so upscale and lovely. Valet staff was out of this world helpful, remembered our names, were friendly and kind...and our guests loved the happy hour in the evenings, too! I wish we could've stayed here even longer, it was truly so perfect and made us feel so special over our wedding weekend. Can't recommend enough!

Choosing The Inn at Blackstone as our wedding venue was truly one of the best decisions we made. I grew up in Blackstone, so I already had a connection to the property before it became the gorgeous hotel and event space it is today. Even so, I wasn’t sure a small-town venue could compete with some of the Richmond locations we toured — but we were completely blown away. The Inn is absolutely magical! We instantly fell in love with its blend of historic charm and modern elegance. After seeing iconic spots like the grand front steps, the romantic courtyard, and the magnificent tree on the grounds (lovingly known as Sir James), we knew without a doubt that this was where we wanted to get married. The Inn offers several wedding options to fit couples' needs, but choosing the wedding weekend package was easily the best fit for us. We hosted a welcome party in the courtyard Friday night, spent Saturday getting ready leisurely in the charming suites, and had many guests stay one or two nights with us. Not only was it convenient for everyone, but it also gave us much needed time with family and friends throughout the entire weekend instead of squeezing everything into one day. The Inn’s venue coordinator, Dianna, was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. She answered every single question we had (lots of email chains) and genuinely tried to accommodate all of our requests. She and Mackenzie went above and beyond — helping with logistics, offering thoughtful ideas, supporting us throughout the weekend, and making us feel so cared for during the entire process. We are endlessly grateful to The Inn at Blackstone for giving us the most beautiful, heartfelt wedding weekend we could have imagined.

We couldn't have asked for a more stunning and seamless experience than what we had at Mountain Lake Lodge. From the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding day. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, with a gorgeous landscape and a warm, homey feel that created the ideal backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. The attention to detail is extraordinary—every corner of the venue feels like it’s been thoughtfully crafted to make your event unforgettable. Whether it was the beautiful outdoor spaces with sweeping views or the charming indoor areas, Mountain Lake Lodge offered the perfect blend of natural beauty and comfort. We were blown away by how smoothly everything went, thanks to Lyndsi and the rest of the catering and events teams who went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. They were professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day as special as possible. We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue, and we’re so thankful to Mountain Lake Lodge for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our destination wedding than The Berry Hill Resort and Convention Center. Our planning journey began nine months before the big day. After touring several venues in the Richmond area and feeling underwhelmed, we discovered Berry Hill—two hours away, but absolutely worth the drive. The pricing and amenities almost sounded too good to be true, so we fully expected to find a flaw when we visited. Instead, we fell completely in love. The moment we walked into the mansion, we knew it was the place. It was even more beautiful in person—grand, elegant, and full of character. An added bonus was that everything was handicap accessible, which was essential for my dad and made the weekend comfortable and stress-free for him. Our original coordinator was knowledgeable, friendly, laid-back, and made the entire planning process incredibly smooth. She even gave us her personal cell phone number and was always prompt, responsive, and reassuring. About three months before the wedding, she left the venue, which could have introduced stress, but Stephanie stepped in immediately. She introduced herself, explained her years of experience, and let us know we were in great hands. She was absolutely right. Stephanie handled the final planning, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception with total precision. She anticipated every detail and managed each part of the wedding flawlessly. I felt confident every step of the way that nothing would be overlooked—and nothing was. The staff overall was excellent. The hotel rooms were gorgeous and surprisingly affordable, making it easy for guests traveling from out of town. The event spaces were stunning and grand, offering an experience that felt luxurious without the luxury price tag. Truly—you get twice the wedding for half the price. The grounds were beautiful for our mid-November outdoor wedding, and both the food at Darby’s Tavern and the reception were fantastic. If you’re considering Berry Hill for your wedding: run, don’t walk, to book it. It exceeded every expectation and gave us the perfect wedding day. We could not be more grateful.

I recently had the most unforgettable birthday celebration, and I can't stop smiling whenever I think about it! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect and filled with love, laughter, and incredible memories. The day kicked off with thoughtful surprises that set the tone—a room decorated with balloons, photos, and hand-written notes from friends and family. I felt so appreciated and special right from the moment I woke up. The Boiler Room was a hit. There were cozy seating areas, and the speakeasy vibe felt very intimate. The food? Absolutely delicious—every dish was a hit, from the appetizers to the drinks. The service was top tier the bartender was friendly and staff very attentive. It was a great time! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend booking the Boiler Room for celebrating birthdays like this or a bachelor/bachelorette event —surrounded by ljust a little bit of magic

The Jefferson is a gorgeous hotel and the guests that were able to stay there had a wonderful experience. They sent champagne and chocolate strawberries to our room on the wedding night and made every accommodation for dietary restrictions at my bridal luncheon in the library. Our only complaint is that we were told it would be easy to add rooms to our block as needed but the hotel was fully booked 6 months in advance and many guests struggled to find accommodations on a very busy weekend in Richmond.
