My husband and I just had our wedding this past weekend with Charley's as our caterer, and can I just say that I have nothing but the highest praise for Charley's Catering service?! They made the process of choosing them for our catering needs so easy and were absolutely amazing at the event as well. During the initial selection process, we came in to meet with Lisa and she answered any questions we may have had.(May I also include that they were the most budget friendly option for what we wanted? Even considering any transportation fee they may have for driving an hour away from their location.) After we officially chose them as our caterers, we were prompted to choose several entrees to try as well as several sides for them to have ready for us when we came in to try food at the next meeting. Even while we were there, they still offered to put together a different side if we so chose. We ended up deciding on the Teriyaki Chicken w Pineapple, the Sirloin Beef tips in Mushroom Gravy, the Roasted Root Vegetables, the Loaded Mashed potatoes, and for our 3rd side they offered to host our cocktail hour with a cheese/cracker and fruit platter as well as beverages(which was such a huge relief!). They had an option for our vegetarian friends available at no extra cost as well. I have heard nothing but the best from our guests and we thoroughly enjoyed the meals ourselves. They brought the two of us our meals so we did not have to wait in line at all for the serving of the buffet option we ordered. They were very flexible with helping us make our evening as amazing as possible. Kendrick was absolutely amazing and super helpful throughout the entire evening. At the end of the night, they wrapped up all of our food and brought it back to the restaurant so we could pick it up from them on Sunday. We arrived at the restaurant, had us pull around back and delivered all of our food to our car, super duper easy and stress free!We would highly recommend their catering services for

I love working with The Riverboat on the Potomac. They are extremely accommodating with special requests and also offer suggestions to make sure your event is perfect. I have held both large and small events with them and will continue to use them when appropriate. Pricing is very reasonable.

The Hot and Cold Cafe located in Downtown of Lynchburg is an Indian Restaurant. I only ordered 2 items. Chicken Tikki Masala and Goat curry... It was amazing and the price was good too. Both Quantity and Quality was great... I only ordered two items because my mom prepared the rest of the meal, since I wanted traditional food that taste good.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Maggiano's in March 2017, and everything was absolutely amazing! When booking the restaurant, the staff was extremely accommodating in showing us the available room options and answering all of our questions, both in person and via email. They were always very responsive throughout the planning process, including when picking out the food an drink menus. On the day of the rehearsal dinner, the staff was extremely helpful in allowing us to drop off items throughout the day and set the room up so that it could be ready for the dinner that night. The service the night of the dinner was amazing, there was no one who had to wait for a drink and the food came out very timely. The food was absolutely delicious. At the end of the night, the staff packed up all of our leftovers nicely! They also helped us with the A/V equipment when playing a video. I cannot say enough about the delicious food and awesome staff!

We have used King's Korner many times over the years so we went with them for our daughter's outdoor wedding at our home. They are wonderful to deal with. Food and presentation perfect. Wait staff professional and polite. You don't have to worry about anything, they will not disappoint!

The Space Downtown was the most perfect location for our Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party! Since most of our wedding guests had never been to Charlottesville before, we knew we wanted to have an event to welcome them and show them parts of the area such as the Downtown Mall. I actually run by The Space all of the time and would always dream about having a wedding weekend event there! We were so happy to have a beautiful event that made this goal a reality all while staying within our budget. We opted to have a closed Rehearsal Dinner (family & wedding party only) before an open Welcome Party. The food options for dinner seemed endless, both in dinner style and in cuisine selections. The meal was also delicious, which will not come as a surprise to anyone who has been to other fabulous places like Bizou and Bang! We also appreciated that flatware and linens were included so we didn't have to hire a separate vendor for table settings. The transition between the dinner and the welcome party was seamless, and we loved Laura's suggestion to have desserts and drinks as part of that transition so all of our guests felt welcomed. We decided to only offer beer and wine throughout the night, but there were plenty of other drink selections and even the option to have a cash bar. All of these choices, in addition to other items we could have incorporated, were transparently communicated to us by Laura, which we definitely appreciated budget-wise. She also provided us with multiple estimates with various combinations of services so that we could choose which one felt best for us. The Space itself is a beautiful venue. The decor, layout, and overall vibe of The Space are lovely on their own, so we truthfully didn't have to do much - we did decide to have the lanterns lit, and we provided our own table decorations, but that was really it. Even so, there are plenty of ways to customize your event should that be what you're looking to do. Overall, I highly recommend The Space Downtown for any private event. We had a great experience having our Rehearsal dinner at the Hard Shell Downtown. Our wedding was at the Omni so we wanted to keep our guests near Shockhoe Slip for the dinner. The food was amazing and so was the service. We had a tight budget for alcohol so the Hard Shell recommended we use drink tickets. This worked seamlessly and everyone was happy including my parents in law who paid :) They have well priced options and the food is great!

We held our 70 person October 2025 wedding at Havana 59 and had a great experience! We were looking for a place that was in the downtown area and could provide a more intimate feel than the typical wedding venue. The staff was absolutely amazing and they helped us pull off the best day. Our family and friends raved about the unique venue, food, and overall experience. Daniel and the staff helped bring our vision to life from the ceremony on the 17th St. Market through cocktail and reception on the open-air rooftop. Would highly recommend considering Havana 59 when looking for wedding venues or just a fantastic place to eat.

We hired Nomad to have a coffee truck at our wedding, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Even 8 months later, people constantly mention how the coffee truck was one of their favorite parts of our wedding. The services were very reasonably priced, they were very easy to work with, and the drinks were delicious. If you are looking for something to wow your guests, I really think you can't do much better than having a wonderful coffee truck!
