House Mountain Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first inquired, the staff was incredibly timely and organized in all of their communication, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. On our wedding day, the venue was absolutely beautiful and peaceful - it felt like a private oasis that was worth every penny. Jamie made the entire weekend go so smoothly, and I felt like we didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. The venue looked even better than I could have imagined on our wedding day. I would highly recommend House Mountain Inn to anyone looking to get married or even just for a peaceful weekend getaway.

From the moment we first toured the Irvine Estate, we were confident it was the best place for our wedding. That confidence held throughout the planning process and the event itself, as the venue and its staff met or exceeded our expectations at every turn. The scenery is especially gorgeous in the fall, and the building, decks and patio are immaculately kept. Beyond the aesthetics, Irvine Estate appealed to us because they have a long track record of experience, which came with an extensive and well-vetted list of vendor recommendations which made the rest of the planning logistics much easier than if we had chosen everything from scratch. Equally important was the included day-of coordinator Katie, who made sure we knew exactly what was going on, coordinated with our vendors to get everything set up correctly and on time, and managed the numerous transitions throughout the night perfectly. This is a uniquely fantastic venue to be married at, exceptionally well-managed and on top of their execution.

Getting married at HMI was a dream come true. The setting is stunning, the property itself is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the team is hands-down amazing. Our dedicated coordinator Jamie handled every possible detail with calm grace and expertise, and her team managed our event incredibly smoothly. Throughout the entire weekend, we felt so taken care of and in awe of the venue, despite a literal hurricane coming through. We are so happy with HMI and can't wait to return to relish in the memories.

Words can't sum up how lovely our wedding weekend was at House Mountain Inn. While we chose to do our ceremony on the campus of Washington & Lee, we held every other event at House Mountain Inn. They delivered on every expectation and then more! Our wedding party loved that we were all able to stay on-site at the property, and the guest service was phenomenal with breakfasts and lunches provided on each day.

Our guests all absolutely loved our venue. The mountain views speak for themselves and provide the best backdrop to a lovely evening of events. From the selection of alcohol to the food and dessert, House Mountain Inn made sure everything was quality. All of our guests truly had such a fun experience, and they were thoroughly impressed with the venue and the staff. Credit to our coordinator Jamie Grue and all of the staff at HMI that worked tirelessly to make our wedding experience perfect in every way. We were blessed to have such a perfect weekend, and we owe so much of that to HMI!

House Mountain Inn is the best place to host a wedding weekend!

I looked at many venues all over the world in the venue search, and have looked at venues for friends and family in the months since, and House Mountain Inn provides a value and flexibility that is rare in this industry.

There are two venues onsite: House Mountain Inn and Irvine Estate. We rented both venues for the entire weekend. This is a great option if you are able, but if not, either venue will make for an amazing wedding weekend. We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at the House Mountain Inn side, and our wedding ceremony and reception at the Irvine Estate. Both are absolutely stunning ( even with a little rain at the rehearsal!).

Planning with the House Mountain Inn team is SO easy. Much of the planning is done through them, and for anything else ( such as florists, DJ, etc) they have recommended vendors who they work with all the time. They have this down to a T. Jamie was our primary contact, and she handled my anxiety well and worked tirelessly the entire wedding weekend to make everything go off without a hitch. I learned after the fact that she even saved our wedding cake from completely falling apart! Jamie remembered every detail from our wedding planning meeting, and made the day a success without the assistance of an outside wedding planner.

Our guests were amazed by the beauty of the property. They couldn’t believe we were in Virginia and not out west. The pictures do not do it justice.

I can’t emphasize enough how convenient it is to not have to leave the wedding property for the entire weekend. It will truly make your life so much easier, will allow for more time with your guests, and provides a great value compared to other venues that you only rent for a few hours. In addition to the wedding itself, we were able to host a wine and cheese hour, two breakfasts, a rehearsal dinner and welcome party, morning yoga, a group hike, and a relaxed after party all onsite. My husband and I also stayed at the Inn the day after the wedding, allow us to relax and not rush back to reality.

Look no further! This is the perfect place to celebrate all weekend, and to celebrate anniversaries in the future!

Everyone at House Mountain Inn was amazing. There was no stress and every detail that was planned was executed flawlessly!!

Irvine Estate is absolutely beautiful - our guests were awestruck with the mountain view and the lovely interior of the reception space. Carrie was amazing to work with and they setup everything to look exactly as we envisioned. Everything ran smoothly and it was so wonderful that we didn't need to stress over setup! Their vendor list came in handy when looking for a marriage commissioner, DJ, and lighting options.

Jamie Grue, Carrie Irvine, and the entire team at HMI and IE were nothing short of fantastic! My husband and I were amazed at how perfect everything was- there wasn't even a single hiccup. Jamie and the staff held themselves to a high standard and they were extremely professional.

From the moment, my husband and I got engaged we knew we wanted to get married at IE and we are so thankful to have the best memories from that day. I highly recommend this venue to everyone I talk to about our wedding. It was truly the best, stress-free weekend I could have asked for.

Jamie knows what she is talking about and is such an asset to have in the wedding planning process. She is extremely helpful and will help with whatever is needed to make your day special. The venue has so many options and choices that can fit any dreams you may have for your wedding day. My husband and I are constantly reminiscing on our wedding day and cannot thank the team at HMI and IE enough for everything!

We could not have had a more beautiful and smooth wedding than at Irvine Estate at House Mountain. Jamie and her staff did an excellent job so that I. the MOB, did not have to worry about any details on the day of the wedding! Our guests were blown away by how beautiful the venue was-the peak fall foliage was a bonus! Jamie addressed all of our concerns prior and calmed me over minor annoyances that were no fault of her or the staff on the day of. She and Tim also took good care of us during our stay at the estate over the wedding weekend-despite having two other weddings there that weekend. Would highly recommend!
