House Mountain Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first inquired, the staff was incredibly timely and organized in all of their communication, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. On our wedding day, the venue was absolutely beautiful and peaceful - it felt like a private oasis that was worth every penny. Jamie made the entire weekend go so smoothly, and I felt like we didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. The venue looked even better than I could have imagined on our wedding day. I would highly recommend House Mountain Inn to anyone looking to get married or even just for a peaceful weekend getaway.

From the moment we first toured the Irvine Estate, we were confident it was the best place for our wedding. That confidence held throughout the planning process and the event itself, as the venue and its staff met or exceeded our expectations at every turn. The scenery is especially gorgeous in the fall, and the building, decks and patio are immaculately kept. Beyond the aesthetics, Irvine Estate appealed to us because they have a long track record of experience, which came with an extensive and well-vetted list of vendor recommendations which made the rest of the planning logistics much easier than if we had chosen everything from scratch. Equally important was the included day-of coordinator Katie, who made sure we knew exactly what was going on, coordinated with our vendors to get everything set up correctly and on time, and managed the numerous transitions throughout the night perfectly. This is a uniquely fantastic venue to be married at, exceptionally well-managed and on top of their execution.

Getting married at HMI was a dream come true. The setting is stunning, the property itself is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the team is hands-down amazing. Our dedicated coordinator Jamie handled every possible detail with calm grace and expertise, and her team managed our event incredibly smoothly. Throughout the entire weekend, we felt so taken care of and in awe of the venue, despite a literal hurricane coming through. We are so happy with HMI and can't wait to return to relish in the memories.

Words can't sum up how lovely our wedding weekend was at House Mountain Inn. While we chose to do our ceremony on the campus of Washington & Lee, we held every other event at House Mountain Inn. They delivered on every expectation and then more! Our wedding party loved that we were all able to stay on-site at the property, and the guest service was phenomenal with breakfasts and lunches provided on each day.

Our guests all absolutely loved our venue. The mountain views speak for themselves and provide the best backdrop to a lovely evening of events. From the selection of alcohol to the food and dessert, House Mountain Inn made sure everything was quality. All of our guests truly had such a fun experience, and they were thoroughly impressed with the venue and the staff. Credit to our coordinator Jamie Grue and all of the staff at HMI that worked tirelessly to make our wedding experience perfect in every way. We were blessed to have such a perfect weekend, and we owe so much of that to HMI!

House Mountain Inn is the best place to host a wedding weekend!

I looked at many venues all over the world in the venue search, and have looked at venues for friends and family in the months since, and House Mountain Inn provides a value and flexibility that is rare in this industry.

There are two venues onsite: House Mountain Inn and Irvine Estate. We rented both venues for the entire weekend. This is a great option if you are able, but if not, either venue will make for an amazing wedding weekend. We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at the House Mountain Inn side, and our wedding ceremony and reception at the Irvine Estate. Both are absolutely stunning ( even with a little rain at the rehearsal!).

Planning with the House Mountain Inn team is SO easy. Much of the planning is done through them, and for anything else ( such as florists, DJ, etc) they have recommended vendors who they work with all the time. They have this down to a T. Jamie was our primary contact, and she handled my anxiety well and worked tirelessly the entire wedding weekend to make everything go off without a hitch. I learned after the fact that she even saved our wedding cake from completely falling apart! Jamie remembered every detail from our wedding planning meeting, and made the day a success without the assistance of an outside wedding planner.

Our guests were amazed by the beauty of the property. They couldn’t believe we were in Virginia and not out west. The pictures do not do it justice.

I can’t emphasize enough how convenient it is to not have to leave the wedding property for the entire weekend. It will truly make your life so much easier, will allow for more time with your guests, and provides a great value compared to other venues that you only rent for a few hours. In addition to the wedding itself, we were able to host a wine and cheese hour, two breakfasts, a rehearsal dinner and welcome party, morning yoga, a group hike, and a relaxed after party all onsite. My husband and I also stayed at the Inn the day after the wedding, allow us to relax and not rush back to reality.

Look no further! This is the perfect place to celebrate all weekend, and to celebrate anniversaries in the future!

Everyone at House Mountain Inn was amazing. There was no stress and every detail that was planned was executed flawlessly!!

Irvine Estate is absolutely beautiful - our guests were awestruck with the mountain view and the lovely interior of the reception space. Carrie was amazing to work with and they setup everything to look exactly as we envisioned. Everything ran smoothly and it was so wonderful that we didn't need to stress over setup! Their vendor list came in handy when looking for a marriage commissioner, DJ, and lighting options.

Jamie Grue, Carrie Irvine, and the entire team at HMI and IE were nothing short of fantastic! My husband and I were amazed at how perfect everything was- there wasn't even a single hiccup. Jamie and the staff held themselves to a high standard and they were extremely professional.

From the moment, my husband and I got engaged we knew we wanted to get married at IE and we are so thankful to have the best memories from that day. I highly recommend this venue to everyone I talk to about our wedding. It was truly the best, stress-free weekend I could have asked for.

Jamie knows what she is talking about and is such an asset to have in the wedding planning process. She is extremely helpful and will help with whatever is needed to make your day special. The venue has so many options and choices that can fit any dreams you may have for your wedding day. My husband and I are constantly reminiscing on our wedding day and cannot thank the team at HMI and IE enough for everything!

We could not have had a more beautiful and smooth wedding than at Irvine Estate at House Mountain. Jamie and her staff did an excellent job so that I. the MOB, did not have to worry about any details on the day of the wedding! Our guests were blown away by how beautiful the venue was-the peak fall foliage was a bonus! Jamie addressed all of our concerns prior and calmed me over minor annoyances that were no fault of her or the staff on the day of. She and Tim also took good care of us during our stay at the estate over the wedding weekend-despite having two other weddings there that weekend. Would highly recommend!

I had such a beautiful wedding weekend at HMI/IE. The team was absolutely 5 stars.

When my mom and I visited HMI for the first time, we both fell in love. As soon as I saw the view from IE Pavilion, I knew I wanted to get married there. It was raining, but it was still gorgeous. The shower came and went. The covered pavilion stayed dry and comfortable and I knew if it rained on my wedding day, I could still have my ceremony there and my guests would be comfortable.

The communication was on point, especially in the beginning. Jamie was quick at responding to ALL of my questions (and I had a ton). It was a bit slower closer to the wedding day as the fall season is BUSY with other weddings, but that was completely understandable. There wasn’t anything crucial that needed prompt replies. Jamie met up with me months in advance and we developed a schedule for the two day wedding. I had my traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony on Friday and my western ceremony on Saturday. She asked me questions I didn’t think about for wedding planning.

Pretty much everything I asked for was accommodated (and again- I asked for a lot). We used HMI for catering (for both the tea ceremony night and the western ceremony reception) as required, but they also allowed us to bring some of the Vietnamese traditional food (fruits and rice cakes).

We rented out all 15 rooms (10 at HMI and 5 at IE). Almost my entire extended family was able to stay (we also rented out a house at a nearby airbnb for overflow). It was like a big family reunion/sleepover. My family brought air mattresses and we all stuffed in all of the rooms. The rooms were large and comfortable enough to fit several queen sized air mattresses (we were able to cram 3 queen size air mattresses into the bridal suite and had 8 of us chilling in there). They also had rollaway beds that we could use. The rooms were all great. The ones with the fireplaces were incredibly cozy. I didn’t get a chance to use the jacuzzi tub or hot tub, but when I arrived late at night, the hot tub was HOT, even though it was chilly out. I had family use their hot tub and they didn’t have any issues.

I was able to rent out two of the HMI rooms the Thursday before my wedding. There was a wedding the Wednesday night before and the HMI staff cleaned the place up so quickly and quietly. I didn’t even notice. They were so kind to clean the bridal suite early on Thursday so we could move all of our stuff in before 3pm. My family arrived on Friday. We DIY’d a bunch of our decorations. We were able to start setting up at 11am. Check in is not until 3pm, but some of my family showed up early and the staff was SO QUICK with cleaning all of the rooms and letting them check in early if their room was already cleaned. They didn’t have to do that and I am grateful.

The tea ceremony went smoothly. We had a buffet dinner. We had pork tenderloin served with an apple cranberry chutney, beef tenderloin with a trio of sauces: Horseradish Cream, Roasted Red Pepper, and Chimichurri, and Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Portobello. They were ALL delicious. I had so many guests come up and tell me how scrumptious the food was.

We had a remembrance ceremony after dinner. We sent water lanterns out into the lake. It was so beautiful. We were able to use their battery operated speakers and had a Buddhist chant as well as some meaningful songs played. We were going to clean up the lanterns that night ourselves, but HMI said we could grab them in the morning. By the time we got up for yoga the next morning, the lanterns were already cleaned up!

My family brought some Vietnamese food to share. They stayed up late, using the crazy outdoor table fireplace, listening to music, drinking, and enjoying all of the Vietnamese food in their PJs. I was working on finishing making my wedding dress inside and could hear them outside, just having the time of their lives, laughing, and singing.

We had yoga in the HMI covered Pavilion the day of the western ceremony (Saturday) and the day after the western ceremony (Sunday). The staff made sure the Pavilion was completely cleared out for us. I brought some cool lavender towels to use for savasana during yoga and the staff was gracious enough to allow us to store them in their fridge until we used them.

My cousin and some kids brought their fishing gear and fished for some bass in their stocked lake. It was so nice to hear their laughs by the lake while we did yoga.

We ran behind schedule the day of the western ceremony (surprise surprise), but we were able to still get photography and first looks and bridal party photos with PLENTY of time before the western ceremony at 4pm (since golden hour was going to be a bit earlier in the mountains). And this includes time to do yoga that morning. Me and my bridesmaids had our hair and makeup done and missed brunch downstairs, but had brunch delivered to us in the room.

The ceremony was perfect. It was short and sweet. We had 4 ring bearers and 4 flower girls and even with all of that, it all went smoothly. Jamie helped us run through the rehearsal the day prior with the kids and it went well. We had so many laughs.

The reception area was spectacular. My family helped out a lot, but the staff also helped set up a lot of our DIY. We showed them our vision and it all came together. We did hire someone for lights. I wanted a fairy light tunnel effect and WOW did it come together beautifully. It was much brighter than I imagined. There was a lot of setup needed for my floral centerpieces (hanging glass orbs from the floral centerpieces) and HMI helped with all of that. They also lit all of the candles for us. The food was perfect. I had the filet of cod topped with sautéed shrimp, scallions, and lobster cream sauce. It was delicious. My husband had the roasted sirloin steak with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and served with a peppered bourbon sauce, which I didn’t get a chance to taste, but heard it was great. Our vegetarian option was eggplant Parmesan and I heard that was delicious as well from my guests. We even had some allergies that were totally accommodated for (e.g. no mushrooms for one guest who wanted the steak).

The weather at the beginning of November was amazing. It was warm enough for us to dance outside on the covered pavilion for our reception. The DJ just opened up the window and turned the speaker towards the pavilion and we just danced the night away.

We opted for late night snacks (pretzel bites, chicken tenders, and pigs in a blanket), which I think was fairly priced. The honey mustard sauce was HITTIN’. My family brought one of the TVs into the large living area and we all watched the World Series. The kids played card and board games late into the night.

Even though my family brought in most of the DIY stuff, the HMI staff helped with a lot of the breakdown. I can’t thank them enough. Apparently my backdrop was really unstable and sad looking and Jamie was able to bring in their green hedge and decorate it with the florals that I brought. It looked absolutely beautiful. There was no way I could’ve done that with what I had.

We obviously left a few things behind (we had a ton of stuff) and they were able to gather them all up after checkout and let me know that they still had them for me to pick up.

We are 2.5 weeks out from our wedding and I am still hearing about how wonderful my wedding weekend was from my guests. There was much love and fun. Everyone had a blast, myself included. Thank you so much HMI! Y’all are amazing.

Carrie made us feel welcome from day 1. She was always flexible and anticipating what was next. We started off our day with 80% chance of rain and we were prepared thanks to her. Last minute when the forecast cleared we were able to proceed with outdoor cocktail hour etc. Food was great, everyone loved the accommodations, and our day was perfect! Thank you x a million!!

My original wedding date fell victim to the COVID lock down. That said Jamie and the rest of the HMI crew really helped with the rescheduling, and making my wedding the best it could be. The food was wonderful, the bar tenders did great, everyone loved the rooms, as well as the venue itself. You can also tell that HMI really specializes in big events. They even helped with coordinating with the other outside vendors. Everything ran like clockwork, and Jamie did a wonderful job.

My husband and I decided on a winter wedding to keep costs down, and because I adore the snowy aesthetic. He's from Virginia, and loved the idea of having a wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains (he knows how much I love mountains.) EVERYTHING about this venue was perfect - because of the off-season pricing we were able to afford both Irvine Estate AND HMI, and I loved them both. Either is great for a wedding and reception, and both is great for a wedding weekend! The best part is that your venue cost includes their wedding coordinator services! Jamie Grue was our day-of coordinator and she was excellent. I DIY'ed our decor, and she brought all of my ideas to life flawlessly. Plus, they let us use some draping left over from a previous wedding at no cost! The food was delicious, the views are gorgeous, and we got so many compliments from all of our guests about the venue. I can't wait to go back for my anniversary!

The first time my husband and I visited we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. While we had to drive 3 hours to get there, it was well worth it and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Throughout the planning process Jamie was wonderful and understanding, answering all of my questions, especially during this crazy year and helped to make our day perfect. The venue is gorgeous and the staff incredible. There was not one time I felt stressed during our weekend there, which was due to the amazing staff. Thank you so much for helping to make our day perfect!

The staff is wonderful and amazing they really make you feel like family. The mountain views are breathtaking for a perfect ceremony, and the event space is gorgeous. :)

I can not say enough about the staff at House Mountain Inn. Like many couples in 2020, we were forced to postpone and reschedule our wedding. Jamie helped us navigate our change of plans and worked with us to ensure we still had the best wedding weekend. She immediately picked up on my vision and brought all of our mismatched decorations to life. I was seriously amazed by how everything looked and turned out. Also, Dave! He was our bartender for the weekend. Everyone loved him. As soon as he saw you coming up to the bar, he would start getting your drink ready. I can’t say enough good things about Jamie, Dave and the rest of the amazing staff at HMI. My husband and I can’t wait to go back for a weekend get-a-way.

Guys, I'm absolutely obsessed with our wedding venue. Hand-down, Jamie and the staff at Irvine Estate/House Mountain Inn were the absolute best to work with. I can not say enough good things about them.
The moment I saw the first picture of this venue I was hooked. The relationship I had with them couldn't have been better. They took care of so much for us. When the pandemic hit, they were so responsive and helpful. They did everything they could to make the venue safe for us and our guests. Every single one of our guests made comments to me about how beautiful the venue was and how great the staff were. The view is unbelievable, the food was amazing, they took care of everything and made it so easy on us.
We can't wait to come back and visit for our first anniversary. I can't thank them enough for all they did. I highly recommend them!

I am not even sure where to begin writing this wedding review about Jaime and her amazing wedding team at House Mountain Inn and The Irvine Estate.

The ambiance at House Mountain Inn and The Irvine Estate is everything you can ever dream of for a wedding venue. The rustic décor and feel is amazing. The atmosphere and views that both of these venues provide are breathtaking. Picture perfect moments live within every aspect of this place.

I was that typical Type A - standard bride - who wanted it all. And more. It is hard to put into words how amazing Jaime is. And her team. For those of you who don’t know, Jaime is one of the wedding planners there. I myself work in the event business and so my standards were already so very high, and I at times I felt they were too high. This event (my wedding) had to be perfect. Jaime is a true rockstar. To me, she was my wedding planner, my mentor, guide, mediator, therapist, decorator, inspirer, and most importantly, friend. She was so special to me and treated me as if I was her only focus. Sometimes I would call her throughout the process just to run ideas by her and chat. Her voice was always so calming and sweet. There are few people in my life I have come across that have truly and deeply amazed me and took me by surprise. Jaime is everything just that. She does it all and I mean DOES IT ALL. There is nothing Jaime can’t do for you. She will go above and beyond for all of your needs, wants, and desires, always.

I would like to also acknowledge a few other HMI team members:
1. Jaime’s amazing husband, TIM! Tim is an amazing cook and caters ALL of the food for both venues. Till this day, my husband and I still rave about the wedding and rehearsal dinner food. He is a true chef. I loved everything and I mean everything he cooked.
2. Dave was our amazing bartender, helper, and breakfast man! He was amazing, truly rocked, and kept everyone happy. Dave always had a smile on his face. Thank you Dave for keeping our party always lively.
3. Laurie. Laurie held a special place in my heart on my wedding day. Right before my wedding and as I was standing on the inside of the HMI door waiting to walk outside down the beautiful steps of HMI to marry my best friend… It started to thunderstorm. I was inside with Laurie and my dad, who had his arm entwined with mine. The fear and stress that overcame my face was overwhelming. All of the sleepless nights over the past year planning for a perfect wedding day and it was about to rain. Laurie came to my rescue. She kept me focused, and all she did was take me by the hand and said “It’s okay, God is just welcoming you on your special day. Everything is perfect. It is not going to rain”. I still reminisce on that moment right before I walked outside. Thank you Laurie for making that moment special. I will never forget you.

I rented out both House Mountain Inn and The Irvine Estate for our wedding. Although I was nervous about the price of both, it was the BEST decision I have ever made. Having both venues provided variety and what I was looking for. I loved both venues SO much and it was so hard to choose one over the other. I had the ceremony at House Mountain Inn, the cocktail hour outside at The Irvine Estate, and the reception inside at the Irvine Estate. We have had many guests tell us that was the best wedding they have EVER been to in their lives. That is all thanks to Jaime, her team, and the amazing wedding venues they have.

Whether you are looking for a rustic, mountain, indoor, outdoor, etc wedding, House Mountain Inn and the Irvine Estate provide you with a wedding you will never forget. They really know what they are doing there. They gave me the wedding of my dreams and something I will look back on and smile for the rest of my life. Thank you.

Everything about this venue is perfect. From the moment we stepped foot on this property we felt at home and knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Our only problem was choosing between the two venue spaces: House Mountain Inn with it's cozy log cabin vibe or Irvine Estate with it's stunning panoramic views of the mountains. So when we found out that if we got married in the off season, we could have both venues for the price of one, we were thrilled. We rented out the main lodge and the house up at Irvine for most of our close friends and family and had such a great weekend wedding. They let us make the place our own and accommodated all of our requests including an extra screen and projector for us to play Mario Kart and Rockband. I don't know what to rave about more, the location or the staff. The staff will treat you like the king and queen if you have your wedding here. They are so kind and understanding and very personable. By the end of your time, they almost feel like family and you feel like you have to come back! Carrie was my rock and so amazing throughout the wedding process and especially on the wedding day. She had so many great ideas and just made executive decisions without bothering me with problems or minor details. But all of the staff was great and went out of their way to make us and our guests happy. Besides the delicious food, stunning location and personable staff, you also don't have to really lift a finger because almost everything is included. Although it was a little more out of our budget, it was worth EVERY PENNY! So many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen.

WOW! This was the most magical and EASY wedding weekend that we could have ever imagined. Our wedding coordinator, Carrie, took care of everything from the second that we unpacked our car. We booked the venue for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day (getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception.) The entire staff bends over backwards to ensure that the bridal party and guests have the best time. The staff helped with set up, clean up, and were ready for everything in between. I was so impressed by the flow of the entire weekend and how "at home" I felt at House Mountain Inn. I will be planning our Anniversary Party here for sure!

My husband and I were married at the Irvine Estate on 10/19/2019 and it was everything we could have dreamed of! Carrie was the most amazing coordinator, she was extremely responsive and proactive throughout our whole planning process. She made the wedding day run so smoothly and I am so grateful we had her help. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests were raving about how wonderful the meal and cocktail hour was. The venue is truly beautiful, the views of the mountains and foliage were stunning and the reception space was so dreamy. We couldn't have asked for a better venue, their staff is top notch!

Simply the best service, professionalism, and natural beauty a venue could offer. This will be your easiest decision as you’ll be taken care of every step along the way.

House Mountain Inn was the perfect place to get married. We held a welcome dinner (in lieu of rehearsal dinner) down at the Inn and had our ceremony/reception at the Irvine Estate (both part of the property). My now husband and I visited for a night a year prior to check it out, and knew right away it was the place for us. You can see from the pictures that the grounds are stunning, but what was even more important to us, you feel like family when you're there. The staff, from Jamie and Carrie (the coordinators), to the serving and bar staff, to the house keepers, are just impeccable. I felt SO taken care of every time I visited, and most especially during our wedding weekend. It's a family run business, and you can feel it.

Leading up to the wedding, either Jamie or Carrie would always promptly respond to my emails and were always willing to set up a phone meeting. They were flexible and always willing to work with you for what you wanted or envisioned. For instance, I wanted a much more casual but larger "Welcome dinner" instead of a rehearsal dinner, and they helped put together a great BBQ-style menu.

On the day of, Carrie took care of everything. I gave her a list of what decor I wanted where, and it was executed perfectly. Everyone loved the food, which I don't think is always the case for a wedding! It was essentially a destination wedding for all of our guests, but I think if anyone wondered why we were getting married in Virginia, they instantly understood once they arrived.

I had the best of both worlds because booking off season, I had access to both the House Mountain Inn and the Irvine Estate. I'm SO glad I did. You'll have a great experience at either site, but I loved staying at the Inn with all our family while still having access to the Irvine Estate with that stunning view.

I could keep going on, but I would choose them again and again, and can't wait to go back to visit.

My fiance and I only had to visit the House Mountain Inn once to know that it was where we needed to get married. Not only is it beautiful and breathtaking, but the service is exceptional. The staff there are so responsive to questions and are so kind. Whether it is in person, over the phone, or via email, they are warm and courteous and are quick to try and be of service.

Once I called the venue trying to get in touch with one of the coordinators for a few questions. A gentleman named Dave answered the phone and we chatted for a bit. I told him that my fiance and I weren't able to see the gorgeous view first hand when we toured because it was so foggy and rainy. He immediately went up to our ceremony space and sent me photos (without me asking him to do so), simply so that I could see how beautiful it was there that day.

They always go the extra mile and my planning experience has been wonderful with them so far.

Mark and I chose Irvine Estate at House Mountain Inn as the place for our special day - we were absolutely blown away! I had to organize a venue from Australia and both Jamie and Carrie made it easy to communicate and from the start were a dream to work with. As soon as I saw the venue in person, I knew we had chosen the perfect venue and was overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. Our wedding day ran smoothly and I was not stressed at all as Jamie was exceptional dealing with our vendors and even organizing the decor - this allowed me to focus on enjoying myself! The staff were brilliant and the venue was extraordinary. The misty mountains surrounded us and although we could not see the mountains in the distance, the mist was magical and was a perfect backdrop for a stunning venue. I could not recommend this venue more!

HMI & IE was the perfect place for our wedding. The views are sooooo beautiful, the food is DELICIOUS, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the staff is so friendly and helpful. However, the number one reason to book at HMI is because Jamie, the venue coordinator, is a miracle worker. She did so much behind the scenes to make the weekend the best one of our lives. She was incredibly patient and smiled through every task. I can’t imagine trying to throw a wedding without a Jamie :) also Dave is an amazing bartender, so there’s that :D

My wedding was absolutely amazing! Jamie and Tim took care of everything! As a bride I didn't have to worry about anything, they made sure it was my day and I could relax and enjoy my day with friends and family! Highly recommend the venue with stunning views and top notch customer service!

Great place to get married! Jamie was wonderful to work with and her staff is excellent. The food, lodging, and hospitality was phenomenal. The Mountain View is spectacular and the grounds are very well kept. If you want a beautiful mountain setting with great hospitality then HMI is the place you want.

This place wasn't even on our radar and was a further drive than we were looking for (Charlottesville area), but when we decided to just check it out we knew this was it. I mean, DAMN. This place is beyond gorgeous - both the views and the place itself. We stayed on property in the house you can rent, which created a wonderful feeling of rest and a level of intimacy with the place (as opposed to just rolling up for the event itself). Our guests were raving over how we found a slice of heaven and how peaceful it was.

When booking, you get the venue, a coordinator, chairs and tables, silverware and tableware, parking attendants, bar tenders, catering, etc. Who else gives you all that for a stellar price?? I couldn't find them. Keep in mind that your food/drink bill for catering and service naturally fluctuates based on what you order and how many guests, but many other places wanted to charge me an even higher price just for the venue location period.

The food was amazing and the team was great at accommodating slight tweaks and executing our custom cocktails. Carrie, the day-of coordinator that we received with the venue, is one of my favorite people that we worked with throughout this whole wedding. Sweet and hilarious, beyond helpful and so responsive. She was there cleaning up late at night and was right there in the AM making sure our breakfast was great.

I am in love with Irvine Estate and I dare you to find a place more accommodating, conscientious, full of value, and more beautiful. I would get married here a 1000 times over if I could.

My husband and I just got married there in September and it was the most amazing day of my life. It was the perfect venue for us and the professionalism and hospitality that we received from the staff was more than we could ever ask for! Jamie was a delight to work with and helped us accomplish our dream wedding. I can't wait to go back and spend anniversaries and weekends at House Mountain Inn and Irvine Estate. House Mountain Inn's slogan "Far from the usual. Close to Perfect" is spot on, but I would go so far to say that it is literal perfection. We were married at the Irvine Estate on July 8, 2017, and I cannot say enough great things about the staff, the planning and coordinating from Jamie Grue, the views, the food, the drinks, just the general good vibes and fun that this venue helps provides. It is casual, yet elegant; it is outdoorsy, yet chic. There is just so much to offer: from an awesome covered outdoor ceremony location to the large, comfortable rooms to stay in on site (with an AMAZING bridal suite), delicious breakfast in the mornings and wine and cheese in the afternoons, a huge porch with an electric fire pit surrounded by rocking chairs. Jamie was great from the get-go; she was responsive, patient, and offered very helpful suggestions, not to mention, a rock star coordinating everything on the day-of with our large, rowdy group. We had guests telling us how beautiful the wedding and the venue was all night. Also, the weather could not have been more perfect. With an outdoor wedding in Virginia in July, I was worried about the heat and the humidity; however, there was a steady light breeze across the mountains all night which lent itself to a wild outdoor dance party and it even got a bit chilly at night. We also had the most incredible clear night sky with a full moon that came up from the mountains near the close of our reception. I would absolutely recommend this place in July! It was truly our fairytale, a day so good we could have never even imagined it, and we are looking forward to traveling back here for our first anniversary!

I recently had my wedding at House Mountain Inn and it was AMAZING! Everything was above the top and it was a fantastic experience. Jamie and the staff at House Mountain Inn did such a wonderful job making sure my wedding day was perfect, which it was thanks to them. Jamie takes the stress out of all the details that can be very overwhelming. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you decide to have your wedding here. I look forward to going back on anniversaries.

This venue is stunning with a gorgeous view of the mountains. There are two wedding locations here, and we had ours at Irvine Estate with Carrie as our wedding coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. I was so anxious about getting everything done the day of the wedding, but Carrie did it all. There were no glitches, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to her. I really can't say enough good things about Carrie and Irvine Estate!

There are not enough good things to say about House Mountain Inn and the family that runs it. We worked with Carrie who helped us nail down our details, helped us run our rehearsal and even helped with my bustle. We had our family and some friends stay in the 2 houses and they all loved it. Everyone always greeted us by our first names (including the Chef), and went out of their way to make sure my husband and I were happy and taken care of whenever they saw us throughout the weekend. The venue is gorgeous, the scenery is amazing and the rooms at the inn were perfect for a weekend stay.

Our son and new daughter got married at the Irvine Estate on 6/25/2016. Words cannot describe how perfect this wedding venue is! The bride's parents, bride and groom, and my husband and I, went to House Mountain Inn and stayed the prior year to check things out for a possible wedding venue for our kids. We immediately fell in love with the place and Jamie and Carrie (and their husbands) were just amazing at showing us all House Mountain Inn has to offer... we found our kids weekend wedding venue! Over the next year and 1/2, Carrie (who handles the Irvine wedding arrangements) stayed in contact with us and handled all our questions, guided us, and made the upcoming wedding weekend come about with such ease! My husband and I rented the Irvine house for the weekend of the wedding. It was awesome!!! We didn't have to worry about a thing! We had the wedding rehearsal & dinner Friday evening, breakfast and lunch for the wedding party Saturday, the wedding Saturday evening, breakfast Sunday morning (which ALL the food Is absolutely delicious!!!)... we never had to lift a finger and never left the mountain! It was such a relaxing wedding weekend. We stayed up late Friday and Saturday evening, with our feet up, drinking coffee, snacking and reflecting on the day. Woke up to an absolutely delicious breakfast the next morning. Such an enjoyable, relaxing way to have a wedding! Carrie and staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and take away all the worries of the weekend. If you want a beautiful venue, with delicious food, and someone to make your whole wedding go off without a hitch, you have to check out House Mountain Inn. You will love it there! Jamie and Carrie are absolutely awesome at what they do! We are so grateful for our kids perfect wedding weekend at the Irvine, and for all Carrie did to make it so special!

I do not have the words to describe what an incredible venue this was, and as a result how beautiful our wedding was. In the heart of the Shenandoah mountains- it has the most breathtaking views. I could not believe we were getting married in such a beautiful place, nestled right in the mountains with beauty every way you look. Irvine Estate was the perfect location for our wedding. Everything flowed smoothly from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. Our guests were blown away by the stunning views. It genuinely is such an incredible location that even with minimal decorations it is a stunner.
Carrie was our wedding coordinator and she was a dream. I mean an absolute gem. With the most calm, genuine demeanor- she helped organize and orchestrate the day so it flowed so smoothly. She was so kind and patient with all wedding party members and family, and even thought of the smallest details so we didn't have to.
The food was great, dancing on the terrace with the breeze blowing was perfect for our guests. I could rave all day about this venue and its incredible staff. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat at this beautiful place and would highly recommend House Mountain Inn to anyone!

I can't say enough about how incredible it was to have our reception at the Irvine Estate at House Mountain Inn. The planning process with Carrie began over a year before our wedding date and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She promptly answered any and all questions we had throughout the planning process and helped us stay within our budget. She helped make sure everything went off without a hitch.

Now let me explain one thing. The photos of this place do not do it justice. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. You get an absolutely spectacular view of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains. There is no place like it. All of our guests kept raving about how beautiful the venue was. Initially they were hesitant to get on a bus and drive 30 minutes, but once they arrived their jaws dropped at the beauty of the place. It's truly one of a kind.

Now the food. I don't even know where to begin. Everything that was served was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. The food was the one aspect of the reception my husband and I wanted to make sure was perfect. House Mountain Inn absolutely delivered. The hors d'oeuvres (chicken satay with peanut sauce, meatballs, spring rolls) were a great start to the cocktail hour. I saw people chasing the servers around because they wanted more! ;) The chicken piccata had to be the star of the night though. EVERYONE LOVED IT. It was perfectly seasoned and prepared. We were incredibly happy with how everything turned out.

Overall, it was the perfect location for us. Carrie and Jamie were so helpful in the planning process, which made it easier for us to plan a wedding from out of town. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's one of a kind and I'm so happy we were able to begin our marriage here!

My husband and I got married at House Mountain Inn this past weekend and were blown away by how everything was taken care of. Our wedding planner, Jamie, took my notes and our boxes of decorations and did everything we needed her to do without needing me for clarifications during the rehearsal dinner or our wedding day. My husband and I were truly left to enjoy of special weekend together with no worries in our mind and knew that everything was being taken care of. We are so blessed to have found this location to get married at and we want everyone to know what a great venue this is. It is highly affordable and the food is PHENOMENAL. All the guests were raving about how delicious the food was and how beautiful the wedding venue was. My husband and I held our wedding at the House Mountain Inn location (there are 2 locations to choose from on the property) and were able to have all of our bridal and groom party stay in the same building with us. Each guest had their own room, some with jacuzzi tubs and others with hot tubs on the deck. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen were so thankful for the opportunity to have a mini-vacation while enjoying the wedding and keep talking about how relaxed and rejuvinated they felt after the weekend. If you love beautiful views, being outdoors, and want a rustic wedding, this venue is just what you need! You won't be disappointed with ANY aspect of your weekend and can feel confident that all of your wedding needs will be taken care of at HMI.

We booked the House Mountain Inn (HMI) for our wedding for several reasons. First of all, it is an absolutely beautiful venue located in the mountains of southwest Virginia. The views are stunning! Best of all, we had exclusive access to the HMI for our entire wedding weekend. Secondly, it has a great rain backup plan. There is a space for outdoor ceremonies, a covered pavilion, and an indoor ballroom all located on the same property. We were hoping to have our ceremony outdoors for our spring wedding but due to rain we moved the ceremony to the outdoor covered pavilion. The rain on the roof of the pavilion during our ceremony added a really peaceful and soothing ambience. As the rain and fog cleared towards the end of the ceremony, the mountains were neatly framed by the pillars of the structure for our guests. It made for great photos! Afterwards, we enjoyed dinner and danced all night in the HMI’s indoor ballroom (which has beautiful new wood floors!). Finally (and most importantly) the HMI comes with an absolutely amazing and helpful wedding planner, Jamie Grue. We worked with Jamie throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was happy to answer all of our questions and was super responsive which made the planning a fun and collaborative experience. Jamie and her wonderful staff ensured that our wedding day played out flawlessly. If we had the ability to give the HMI more than five stars we would. We can say with absolute confidence that anyone who has their wedding at the HMI will have an incredible experience.

We love Jamie at House Mountain Inn. She is a dream to work with and takes away all the stress of planning a large affair. We had a great menu tasting early on in the planning and the venue took care of all linens, chairs, and set up. They even had a projector and screen available for our slideshow. We could not have asked for a more perfect rehearsal dinner location. We had bus transportation up the mountain from Lexington and they were so flexible with our entrance and exit times. We would absolutely book again and again.

My fiance and I are getting married at the House Mountain Inn on October 15th! Even though we haven't yet gotten married, we absolutely love this venue. The service has been wonderful. We have been working with Jamie and she has answered all of our questions and responded to all of my emails in a very timely manner. We look forward to our menu and wine tasting in March!

The House Mountain Inn is the PERFECT place for a wedding! The gorgeous grounds, the beautiful views, the spacious rooms, the 5-star quality food, and the amazing, amazing staff will blow you away. My wedding was perfect. Absolutely perfect. And it was all because of Jamie Grue, her husband, Tim (an amazing chef), and the gracious, lovely staff that bring this wonderful venue to life. They make you feel like family. I have had countless guests tell us that our wedding was one of the best they've ever been to. Not just because the food was delicious or the view was spectacular, but because everything ran so smoothly. Everything was timed right, the pace was perfect, and they were able to see and utilize the entire venue. We were married at the House Mountain Inn and rented out the 10 rooms for our entire bridal party for the weekend. We also rented the 5 additional rooms at the Irvine estate for our family. It was so intimate and we were able to spend so much time with our closest friends and family because they were on the grounds with us. We had the venue from Friday at 3pm - Sunday at 11am, which gave us the ability to capitalize on the venue and even host our rehearsal dinner at the Inn. It was a home away from home!

From the initial conversation with Jamie over the phone, to our venue visit, and then the meetings and food/wine tasting we had leading up to the wedding day, Jamie was a life saver and so helpful! She was responsive and timely in answering every email I sent (no matter how many questions I had), and she had solutions and options for everything! We live outside of DC and knew we couldn't afford the city prices... we spent half of what some of our friends spent, and everything was 5-star quality and blew our guests (and us) away! Call Jamie, speak to her for 10 minutes, then go visit , and you won't want to look anywhere else. This was our one and only venue we looked at, because once we arrived, nothing else was going to compare!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Irvine Estate about a month ago and we could not have made a better choice. Not only was the venue absolutely breathtaking, but all of the planning leading up to it could not have been more easy, thanks to the wonderful HMI staff. Carrie Irvine was our wedding coordinator and she did a fabulous job. She and the rest of the staff at House Mountain Inn are very easy to work with as well as extremely prompt with answering questions/emails. On our big day, our wedding flowed seamlessly due to the proper planning leading up to it. HMI has the experience you want when looking for a wedding venue- they know what works and what doesn't but will also allow you the flexibility to help you make your day what you envision. Could not be more happy with our choice in wedding venue! Definitely recommend this venue!

House Mountain Inn was the perfect venue for my son's and daughter-in-law's wedding. It combined the location of near where she had grown up, their interests as a couple with the environment, and their complete love of the beautiful venue.

Communication between the wedding-to-be couple and Jamie Grue, the manager of the inn and wedding planner, was always so relaxed, clear, respectful at times, especially with the couple's wishes to reflect their tastes. From the moment my husband and I, the bride's mother, and the wedding party arrived, we felt this was the only wedding to happen and not one of many they do. Any question or detail was handled with patience, warmth and efficiency. All of us were overwhelmed with the accommodations and food as we stayed at the inn for the weekend. Extra kudos to Tim the chef, and Dave the "right-hand-man"! The rooms combined elegance with the true rustic charm of a lodge.

The wedding ceremony was outside in the early evening under an arch with a pond behind it, surrounded by mountains - truly memorable! The reception was in an outside pavilion as dusk approached - so intimate, even for 100 people present. Everything was so efficiently organized between my daughter-in-law, son, Jamie and her staff. It was just what the wedding couple wanted. Jamie and her staff truly are blue ribbon winners when it comes to wedding venues.

We are having our wedding at House Mountain Inn in October 2016. Although we haven't been married there yet, working with Jaime and Carrie has been the best experience. They have been more than helpful when we want to visit, and whenever we have questions they come back within the same day with answers! The venue is breath taking! I cannot wait until our wedding!

I cannot recommend this venue enough! From the moment we first contacted Jamie to set up a tour to the day we checked out, Jamie and the rest of the HMI staff were amazing! She was available to answer all of my crazy questions through email and was so helpful in our planning. Everyone was so accommodating during check inn, offering to help with whatever was needed. The rehearsal went so smooth thanks to Jamie, and the dinner on the pavilion was amazing (get the cheesecake, you’ll thank me)!!  The day of the wedding I would go to set something up and find that Jamie had already done it for me. She thought of so many things that I didn’t, such as moving my table arrangements from the dining room to the pavilion fireplace mantel to add extra flowers, I couldn’t find my bouquet when it was time to do the toss and she immediately had one for me, she even brought us a wet paper towel to wipe our hands after cutting the cake. Anything that our guests asked for was immediately taken care of. Sunday morning all of my decorations and flowers were right by the door ready to go! The food was amazing and the rooms were clean and super spacious; our entire bridal party/family couldn’t stop talking about what an amazing weekend it was!

I am so thrilled about my decision to get married at the Irvine Estate at House Mtn Inn!! I first discovered them through searching online and when I went to visit with my family, the venue was just as beautiful (and even more so!) than the pictures led me to believe. We met with Jamie who is so sweet, helpful, and organized! She helped us to get things started with booking them as our venue. I've only just begun the planning process, but I can't wait to work more with Jamie, sample their delicious food to pick a menu, and have a wonderful time in May in the beautiful mountains of Lexington. :)

I do not know where to begin with Jamie, the HMI and their amazing staff. We stayed in March before our September wedding and it was worth it! We got to know the people, the wonderful food, and we were able to enjoy the location as well as familiarize ourselves with it. I cannot say how much Jamie helped me through this entire process. She was always attentive and emailed back within a day and any bride knows that it is sooo hard to get someone to respond so quickly. This place was worth every penny. I highly recommend the HMI to everyone- you will not be disappointed.

House Mountain Inn was is an INCREDIBLE venue! Everything from food, to service, to the beauty of the location itself is outstanding. My wedding was at House Mountain Inn so we had the whole lodge to ourselves for the weekend with our families. Jamie and the staff were hands down amazing. They went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend and the wedding day perfect. Everything we requested and planned out for the day was done and more. For example, we had ordered more flowers than needed for our tables and while another place or vendor may have just left them behind, House Mountain placed them on the fireplace and in a few other areas to add beauty. I really appreciated this instead of letting them go to waste. Another example...after the wedding my husband and I were hungry and Jamie had a plate of snacks and treats prepared for us. They just go above and beyond! On the morning of the wedding Jamie and the staff attended to all of my random and somewhat chaotic bridal requests and always kept things under control. Jamie made sure everything flowed perfectly and our wedding timeline was met PERFECTLY. Literally every step we planned of the day went as scheduled!! This was all thanks to House Mountain. Our guests absolutely loved the Inn and it looks gorgeous in photos. There is a whole team of vendors who are used to working with House Mountain so they are familiar with how everything should go. That was a huge weight off my shoulders. Jamie worked with each vendor and made sure our timeline made perfect sense. The rooms in the Inn are very comfortable and beautiful. The bridal suite is huge and so lovely! The food, which is made right on the premises is fantastic. Our guests raved about how delicious it was. There is not a single negative to having a wedding here!

We were married at House Mountain Inn and the staff and environment was incredible. Our guest were blown away by the beautiful setting and I could not have been happier with our choice to get married here. It was raining the day of the wedding and their staff was constantly outside wiping off chairs just to make it possible to still be married outside. Jamie (the wedding planner) at HMI was amazing and her husband- the chef was equally as perfect. The guests loved the food and the breakfast, snacks and wine. There is a close by lake and river for guests during the day, plenty of hiking and fishing and the town is filled with activities. If you want to get married in a peaceful mountain setting, I cannot recommend this place enough! I look forward to going back each year for a visit.

There is absolutely no place more beautiful and honest than the House Mountain Inn. So many venues hit you with hidden charges, and thousands of "rules" for you event. we had none of that with them! Their Staff was amazing, the food they prepared was BEYOND delicious, and the value of their services is beyond measure. We drove 3+ hours from Northern Virginia so we could make use of their immaculately kept property.

Everything was so great, we hope to return for a few nights on our first Wedding Anniversary.

The venue and staff is amazing! We visited the venue in February when there was snow and it was cold; however; it was beautiful. We immediately fell in love with the views and the venue.
Jamie Grue is the Wedding Coordinator and she is magnificent. She is very detailed oriented and takes great ownership of your event. She makes sure that every detail is taken care of the day of the event. The food is amazing. They work with you and your groom to make sure that the menu for your day is exactly what you want. All of our guests told us the food was delicious. We have received tons of compliments from our guests about how fun and beautiful our wedding was.
The facility is beautiful. We had a small wedding party; therefore, it allowed for everyone to stay at the Inn from Friday to Sunday. This made it a stress free weekend for us as all of our party was in one place. We held the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all in one place. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome. We had an unforgettable wedding. Jamie and her staff worked with our family and us to make sure that every little detail was taken care of for the rehearsal and wedding. Jamie worked with all of our vendors the day of the event to make sure that everything was coordinated properly and my groom and I focused on getting ready and enjoying our event.

Our ceremony outside was beautiful and everything went according to plan!!! The reception took place inside the rustic ballroom and it was beautiful. The whole Inn provided us with some beautiful pictures for our special day. The accomodations of the Inn were great and our whole family had a wonderful time the whole weekend from the rehearsal dinner on Friday to the day we checked out on Sunday. The food was amazing and tasted great! All of our guests were very pleased and had a blast! Thanks to House Mountain Inn for helping to create the perfect wedding day! We will be back to stay as guests and for our 1 year anniversary! We have gained so many new friends with the staff!!!!!!

The House Mountain Inn is the perfect place for a wedding. The site is beautiful, the food is wonderful, and the staff is amazing. Jamie and the staff is on top of everything and make your mind completely at ease. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I highly recommend them at either of their spots though I do prefer the main area. Did I mention the rooms are amazing as well?

Picking our wedding venue was special to us for many reasons; the obvious one of marrying the love of your life, and then because our family lives far apart. This would likely be one of the only times our family was all together and this place made it so easy to have a whole weekend with everyone in the same spot. House Mountain Inn quickly became our top choice.
All the meals, wine-hours, rehearsal, dinner, and of course the wedding, made it possible for us to make memories beyond the reception.
The location is remote and the view can't be beat! Even though we had some fog on our wedding day, the photographer got amazing pictures. The location and view speaks for itself and create the setting we wanted naturally....and then Jamie did the rest!
Jamie is a jack of all trades and I repeatedly told her how amazed I was at her flexibility with us, how calm and organized she was, and how she managed to keep it all straight! They do at least 50 weddings a year, but you'd never know because her full attention to detail, and focus, is on you and your special day.

One of the best things that House Mountain Inn offers, is the food and wine tasting for all of those getting married within the year. Living far away, it was a great excuse to see the space filled with people taste the food and wine that our guests would be eating. The food was wonderful and the presentation was professional. There is so much that made our wedding magical, but most of all House Mountain Inn was a unique venue. Our guests all raved, asking "how did you find this place?", and it was wonderful that you those staying on site, could arrive Friday, and leave Sunday. It was the best mix of relaxed mountain setting and sophisticated wedding venue. It felt more like a weekend retreat, with a wonderful celebration, than a hassle filled day of moving from church to pictures to reception. We plan to visit for anniversaries and see our friends at the HMI. Thank you again!!!!

House Mountain Inn was the perfect setting for our fall wedding. It was so nice to check into the Inn Friday afternoon and not have to worry about a thing until we left Sunday morning. Our wedding party stayed in the Inn and had a wonderful time hanging out. The kids loved having space to run around outside and explore the trails.

The staff was beyond accommodating. My family was allowed to come in early Saturday morning and decorate the reception space as well as the pergola down by the pond.

Jamie was there all day Saturday making sure that the wedding party was on time, and that no detail was overlooked. When the Flower Girl was sad that she couldn't take her blankie down the aisle, Jamie took it down to the ceremony site so make sure the blanket was in the Flower Girl's chair. She was there from 8 am to well-past 12 am, but I never saw her without a smile on her face. All the guests that met her had fantastic things to say about her.

The food was great. Brides & grooms have the opportunity to try all the food options at the Inn's annual tasting event hosted in January. We opted for the chicken marsala and seafood penne. They even served vegan options to our three vegan friends and chicken fingers for our 11 children guests.

My only (minimal) critique, was that I wish that the Inn had a sound system that we could rent directly from them instead of having to find an outside vendor. They had great recommendations for every other outside vendor.

House Mountain Inn was the perfect place to have my wedding. My guests raved about the picturesque location and comfortable setting at the inn. Jamie and her staff were absolutely amazing, and from our first meeting a year before our event I was put at ease by her professionalism, her calm personality, and assurance that every detail of the weekend would be taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend. Everything exceeded my expectations! From the delicious food, to the comfortable rooms, to the kind service, House Mountain Inn has it all!

This was the perfect spot for our wedding. Jamie and her team at HMI were wonderful to work with and made sure that the entire day was perfectly executed. The location was absolutely beautiful and provided options for pretty much every weather scenario. We had a great time with all of our family that stayed with us at the Inn and cannot wait to return!

Our wedding was a magical mountain fairytale, and it is because we chose this venue to get married at. Jamie, Carrie and the HMI crew did EVERYTHING! They are so organized, they think of every detail, and keep all vendors straight so you do not have to lift one finger on your big day. THE VIEWS ARE INCREDIBLE! Our pictures look like they are out of a magazine: and those are the ones our friends took with their phones!! The Irvine Estate and House Mountain Inn are perfect for a wedding because you can stay on the property with your whole family! We had fun all weekend long, in the most beautiful setting. HMI was excellent! The whole staff was very accommodating and Jamie made sure everything stayed on track during the day. Everyone staying at the house loved their rooms.

We were married at the Irvine Estate at House Mountain Inn and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding planning process and wedding day! Carrie Irvine and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful and so friendly to us and our guests. We stayed on location, which was a great for convenience and had plenty of room to get ready on Saturday. We also had our rehearsal dinner there Friday evening. The food at the rehearsal dinner and Saturday's reception was amazing - our guests at both events gave us compliments! Carrie and the staff were there for every question and need, from start to finish. Beautiful location and the best value!! Well worth the travel (from Northern Virginia) and money spent!!

The location, atmosphere, and staff are absolutely fantastic. Not only were they helpful and prompt in answering any questions we had, they did a wonderful job of making sure everything ran smoothly and taking the stress off of us. Our wedding was more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed, and we would not have changed a thing.

Everything turned out more amazing than I could have imagined. Carrie and Jamie were both extremely helpful with making my wedding vision become a reality. I planned most of the wedding from across the country and, even when there was a small lapse in communication, Jamie and Carrie made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt comfortable with the planning process. We had a lot of back-and-forth with deciding what we wanted at the wedding and Jamie was especially patient and helpful with decision-making. I was a little nervous about decorating, because I wasn't sure if I would need to do it all, but I was pleasantly surprised that, when we arrived the day before the wedding, I sat down with Jamie to explain where I'd like everything (now that we had it all in front of us) and she took care of everything for me! I kept asking if I needed to help with anything, but Jamie and Carrie insisted that I "be the bride" and sit back to enjoy my wedding day. Our guests raved about the venue - The beautiful views, the food, and how smoothly everything went. Not to mention that we had the best pre-wedding girls' night hanging out in the hot tubs, the beds and robes were amazingly comfortable, and the breakfast/evening wine and cheese were delicious. The wedding party and immediate families stayed at the Inn and were blown away by the way the Inn feels like it's just for you the whole weekend (which it really is when you rent it!). Even the smallest rooms were extremely spacious. I want to go back again just for a weekend trip!

My Husband and I got married at House Mountain Inn in May 2019. We absolutely loved everything about HMI. We chose to have our ceremony in the garden, reception in the ballroom, and dancing in the pavilion. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner in the pavilion. We rented all 15 rooms on the venue so that our family and wedding party could all stay on site. The entire venue is gorgeous and well maintained. The staff worked their butts off to make sure everything was perfect down to the smallest details. They were so accommodating and easy to work with. My husband and I really liked their food/wine tasting event so that we could try all our options before selecting our final meal. We chose to have a buffet dinner with stations and it worked out so well. The food was hot, delicious, and looked great! The mashed potato bar was a big hit with our guests! We are still getting complements from our guests about HMI! If we had to do it all over again, we would definitely choose HMI!

Initially the email and telephone communication was a little slow and hard to follow and due to the distance of the location from me, it was a little hard to just stop by and ask. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Jamie was easy to get a hold of and meet when I was in town to talk about the wedding. The services provided by the Inn were great, however I wish I had hired a wedding coordinator to help with the day before and day of activities. The food was definitely outstanding and the views the Inn provided were gorgeous. The one complaint I had about the food was that the fruit table was put out and barely touched by guests due to location and timing.

The Irvine Estate at House Mountain Inn hosted our ceremony and reception. Possibly one of the most beautiful locations in our area with 360 degrees of mountain views. We were married in August and the landscaping was immaculate with everything in bloom. The staff were very responsive and kind. A few minor critiques: The food at the tasting was not the best, however the food produced at the wedding itself was much better and the guests really enjoyed it. The changing area for the bridal party was excellent, but there is no changing area for the grooms men. We had requested a fully open bar with certain wines and liquors however this detail was missed, it was not written on the contract though so we should have caught that, so pay attention to the details. My biggest critique would be that on the day of the wedding the planner we had been working with was at another wedding and had her mother with us instead. He mother was a great lady and very helpful, but it through me off guard as I was expecting the person I had been working with the entire time. Overall a very enjoyable location.

House Mountain Inn was the perfect wedding venue. We got married at the House Mountain Inn estate and our guests fell in love with the venue just as much as we had. I did have several difficulties with trying to get in touch with Jamie throughout our planning process, but she really pulled through as the day of coordinator. Everything went smoothly and I couldn't ask for a better day.
