The Mill at Fine Creek was the perfect wedding venue. Many of our guest said it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. The food was excellent and the staff made everything run so smoothly. Our coordinator, Lexi, was fantastic leading up to and throughout the event. She answered all of our questions promptly, and helped us think through all the details. The chef helped us create a unique menu and even cooked a favorite recipe of ours that we gave him. The cottages were great for guests to stay at and the Millers Cottage for us as a couple was incredible. The Mill really knows how to manage details and the space itself is incredibly beautiful. We didn’t need much in terms of decoration to pull the space together! The list of vendors The Mill works with were also incredible. We can’t thank The Mill enough for helping us create a day we’ll remember forever!

Sara was my wedding coordinator for my wedding and she was AMAZING!! She made my wedding day perfect and was always thinking ahead and great at coming up with solutions/ideas for wedding day when I needed help. So many of our guests were raving about how amazing the wedding day was! It was truly the best day ever and couldn’t have done it without Sara and the rest of the Lesner Inn staff. Highly recommend having your wedding here and having Sara as your wedding coordinator! The views, food, and staff is 10/10!!

The Woman's Club of Portsmouth was absolutely the perfect venue for our December wedding! The possibilities are endless in such a gorgeous space; I originally wanted to add tons of drapery and approximately 2 million more flowers before I was reminded by my now-husband that we did indeed have a budget... but ultimately, we didn't even NEED any of that extra stuff. The new floors and glittering chandeliers are so lovely that even very understated decor looks glamorous! We loved the ease and convenience of having our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in one space, and our guests were very pleased with that aspect as well. In addition to the space itself, working with Chrissy was such a joy!! She was so fun and easy to communicate with, and went FAR above and beyond for us MULTIPLE times in the year/month/week leading up to our wedding day. We are so appreciative and cannot reccomend this venue and its staff highly enough! The one cautionary note I would leave for prospective clients is to remind your guests (multiple times) to try to arrive earlier than they think they need to if they are planning on utilizing the complimentary valet parking!! As the venue does not have guest parking directly on site, it can take some time to get everybody in the building, and I wish I had sent another 3-4 reminders to my guests. But that being said, it worked out just fine and I wouldn't even call that a downside or negative at all, considering we understood this from the start, and all of the other amazing attributes of this venue and kindness of the staff!! Our wedding day was literally perfect, and we can't imagine having had it anywhere else. Thank you so much to Chrissy and everybody at WCP that helped make our day so wonderful!!!

We recently celebrated our wedding at Inn at Willow Grove, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From start to finish every detail was handled with such care by Catherine, Lisa, and their entire crew, making the experience seamless and stress-free. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Its elegant, peaceful, and perfectly suited for such a special occasion. The accommodations were top-notch, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and comfortable everything was. What truly set this experience apart was the staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The service was exceptional, and it felt like they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The food was incredible as well! The striploin and chicken dishes were cooked to perfection and you HAVE to try their brunch French toast brick. Every detail came together flawlessly and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to start this new chapter. If you are considering the Inn at Willow Grove for your wedding or special event, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

July the 18th was our big day. I cannot express how great our experience was at The American Hotel. Michelle Annese (venue manager), and her assistant went above and beyond. I could write a whole page of details on how she put her heart into making sure my day was magical and stress-free. With weddings being stressful enough, then we added Covid-19 into the mix. Many precautions were in place and Michelle even sanitized the bathrooms on a 20 minute cycle on top of everything else she did. Another plus is the charm of this venue allows minimal decorations as well. Best prices in comparison to any venue around our area. Again another bonus... the location of this building allows for beautiful photos at our local train station dock and bridge. I also want to mention the owner Margaret, although there was never a face to face due to her living location, she was very kind in our email conversations. There was no problem when we had to cancel our orginally date and reschedule due to the pandemic. No regrets on our choice, 100 percent satisfied!!!

Deep creek landing marina is a beautiful place to have your wedding! The views are beautiful, the staff is so easy to work with and made multiple appointments to set up our venue to see how we wanted it to be before our wedding date. Budget friendly, we chose the 2 day rental to make it easier on us. Highly recommend!

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Boathouse at Sunday Park a week ago and we could not have been happier with everything!! The staff there are fantastic and they truly know what they are doing. It's a well oiled machine. During our planning stages, they asked questions we hadn't thought of to make everything flow smoother. Kristan Hughes, our coordinator, offered suggestions that we absolutely loved. She was very easy to work with and took all our changes with out missing a beat. Everything was set up exactly as we envisioned - it was a dream come true! We heard from our floral people how amazing the Boathouse staff was setting up the dinner tables. The food was fantastic - we heard it over and over from our guests. We felt the cost was reasonable for what we were getting. You can't go wrong with the view and the sunset here either. It's a stunning venue to look over the reservoir and then romantically see the sun go down. If you are planning your wedding here, you are in really good hands!

I got married at John Marshall Ballrooms in May 2026, and it was truly amazing! The JMB team was wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process and on the wedding day itself. They were responsive, flexible, and genuinely cared about making our day special. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and feels so different from a typical wedding venue. The food from their in-house caterer, Homemades by Suzanne, was also delicious, and we received so many compliments from our guests about it. After touring venues all over VA, I can confidently say that JMB offers more support and flexibility than most places we looked at. They really go above and beyond to help make your wedding day everything you want it to be. I’d absolutely recommend JMB to anyone looking for a beautiful city venue and a great team to work with!

Grand Affairs truly made my dream come true for my big day! My family has worked with the venue for multiple occasions, but this was my first wedding experience. I was not disappointed at all, and Ms. Jaki is the best person ever to plan your wedding. She is attentive, observant, and extremely creative! She also treats you like family and deserves her flowers. I would recommend this venue to anyone, especially if you love great food and fellowship.
