We had a small wedding. 38 people. Lauren made sure that I never once stressed out for anything. Our guests were raving about the food. The servers made sure every glass & plate stayed full, the bartender ensured the drinks stayed perfect. We blinked and all the clutter and tables were bussed. Jaye was our DJ and one of my biggest fears that no one would dance. The floor stayed busy 99% of the time. He went above and beyond what our vision was! All I can say is INCREDIBLE! Worth every penny! We had a blast! Even with the rain: it was PERFECT. We had a perfect sunset as everyone was leaving (pic)

We could not have been happier with our choice of the Ware River Yacht Club for our daughter’s wedding reception last October. The setting is absolutely stunning— waterfront with a beautiful extra long pier, lovely grounds... could not have been more perfect. Our reception was outside under a tent, but we had the option of using the clubhouse and had full use of its spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Bathrooms inside and also outside were clean and well-stocked. TONS of parking space made things easy for our guests. Layne Brown (the manager of WRYC) was super helpful and easy to work with, always available to us when we had questions or requested time on the property with our vendors. This was our second experience with WRYC, the first being a party we hosted some years ago with a band... both experiences get a 10!! We would highly recommend the WRYC to anyone planning a special event.

Rockafellers was very accommodating to our needs. They allowed us to bring in a TV and show a video during our dinner. They allowed us to bring in dessert from an outside source. The staff was excellent and the food was out of this world! They were very organized and easy to work with!

If you are looking for the best place to host your event in Virginia Beach, you found it! I am a professional DJ and I work several wedding events here every year and already have some lined up for next year. Before this year is over, I wanted to take the time and share with all review readers how grateful I am for the opportunity to be able to collaborate with such a great venue and the talented team that makes magic happen every time I am there. They communicate well with vendors, everything is always clean and looks amazing, and the layout options are awesome. I like how you have the option of upstairs or downstairs depending on the vibe you are looking for. It is always awesome to be able to have wedding ceremonies at the waterside.
