We loved the John Marshall Ballrooms and their team so much! The venue is perfect for everything you need. It has naturally stunning and historic charm that makes it beautiful on it's own. We used the Marshall Ballroom which had incredible natural light that made everything look like a dream. The team is also wonderful. We loved working with Maria and Kaitlyn. It felt like they really cared about our wedding and all the details. They were very easy to get in contact with and followed up promptly. Their catering staff were also so professional and made the day so easy and so much fun for our guests. We got so many compliments about the food and drinks and on how nice the catering staff was! We wish we could go back and do the whole process over with them again.

What an amazing evening!!! On 11/01/25 My son and daughter-in-law had a beautiful Micro-Wedding off-site at a nearby Historic Garden and Park followed by the perfect reception in The Harbourmaster Suite at The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing. The views from the Harbourmaster Suite were amazing and the atmosphere was quite cozy and comfortable. Alli Prato was their On-Site Event Coordinator, Jacob and Derek were the Staff Captains that took care of everything throughout the reception, and everyone did a fantastic job. We met Alli when we first visited The Boathouse to take a peek at the event space and she also worked with us during the planning phase. She was phenomenal. She was very prompt and responsive along the way as me bombarded her with questions throughout the process. She covered everything right down to the last detail. She offered suggestions and ideas that made everything perfect for them. The food was delicious, and everyone raved about the crab cakes and the beef that they chose as menu selections. They thoroughly enjoyed both the food and drinks. Jacob and Derek were amazing – from setup, to waiting on everyone throughout the night, to the wrap up stages, at the end of the evening and they also kept us abreast as the evening progressed. Common House was an absolutely perfect venue for us. We chose it because of the multiple beautiful spaces, responsive team members, and all-inclusiveness that simplified some planning on our side. None of those things disappointed. We hosted a two-day event and used several of Common House's spaces. Each room is so well-curated that minimal decor is needed to make it perfect. Alize was incredibly helpful and always there to answer our many questions (despite the fact that we were asking some of them over a year in advance). As the event date got closer, she was so on top of every detail. If we sent an email with 10 questions, she would answer them all line by line. Weeks later, our friends and family are still raving about how incredible all of the food was and how kind and attentive the staff were. Several guests had some specific dietary needs, and they were extremely accommodating. We also had a some guests who don't drink, and the bar was prepared with non-alcoholic beer and an incredibly tasty lemonade option that could be enjoyed standalone or as a mixer.

Overall our venue was breath taking! The only issue we would like to see moving forward is having a permanent building manager. The owner however was AMAZING! He made sure everything was ready to go. Very affordable gem in the city of Richmond.

We had our reception after a church ceremony at the BH House and it was a 10/10 experience. The venue was the perfect size for the guest count. The stage was PERFECT for a band. The staff was so easy to work with and accommodating. Emma is a great event planner to work with, she is in charge of the wedding/events for the house! She is always there if you have questions and super helpful. She made the experience of planning and having the wedding there very stress-free. I truly do recommend if you are having a seated dinner keeping the count closer to 170 and below if you want a good dance floor. 150-160 would be a sweet spot. (It might have also just been how we arranged the room)

We got married at The Renaissance in Richmond, and I honestly can’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else. It was perfect in every way and surpassed every one of our expectations. From the start, Tommy and Jon were absolutely incredible. They were so responsive, kind, and truly felt like partners throughout the entire planning process. I always felt like they were just as invested in our day as we were. Their support meant the world, and having them in our corner made everything feel less overwhelming. Their passion and experience in the wedding industry is so clearly apparent, and made us feel like we were in good hands throughout the entire process. The venue itself is breathtaking — full of vintage charm, character, and elegance. Every room, especially the ballroom, is so grand it really felt like a fairytale. It has such a special energy, and on the day of our wedding, it felt magical. Our guests kept telling us all night how beautiful everything was. The food was amazing — genuinely the best we have ever had at a wedding. People told us the same throughout the night and days and weeks after. And every single staff member we encountered was so friendly and professional. You could feel how much they cared, which made the whole day feel even more special. Looking back, there’s not a single thing we would change. The Renaissance gave us the wedding day of our dreams and we can't thank them enough! We’re so grateful for the care, heart, and love that went into every detail. If you want a venue that feels both grand and personal, with a team that treats your day like it’s their own, this is the place.

We loved The Hof as a rooftop bar but never imagined the Loft would be so perfect for our reception. The space has an open and industrial feel but still offers the convenience of being in the center of the city. Breezy was amazing to work with, she had all the answers to my questions and knows what works well in the space. The bartenders really impressed our (heavy drinking) crowd! They definitely went above and beyond. They include all the tables and chairs and were so flexible with our decor and aesthetic vision for the space.

This venue space was absolutely amazing ! The size of the space was perfect and the layout was perfect as well . The space was well maintained and cleaned , the venue manager Glenn was just amazing from start to finish he worked with us and was patient with us as well and the event manager Sarah was awesome as well . She made sure the space for us was accessible and cleaned she was sweet and kind for the short period we had with her .
