The Bankuet Place is a privately owned banquet hall. We fell in love with it at first sight due to it's original early 1900s architecture and marble. Laura and Erin are both so helpful and flexible. I can call, text, or email them with any questions I have and they respond very promptly. Erin is at the event and she cleans up the items that the place owns and takes out the trash at the end of the night! And the price is VERY reasonable!

Laura runs the Bankuet Place in such a great way. This old Bank still has the vault and is the perfect venue if you are looking for a small/medium wedding, in a classy place, functional and well priced. Laura helped me when we had an issue with the DJ and without hesitation offered her house equipment to us. I can't say enough about how her venue matched what I was looking for. The marble walls, tiled floor, chandelier, windows and vault made it for a great stage for my Masquerade Ball wedding theme. The location is not what most people look as it is not downtown. However it is perfect as it has parking and it is a 2 minute drive over the small bridge. I would marry there again and again!

Loved dealing with Laura! She was very accomodating. She did not have a preferred caterer list - her response to that was she just wanted the bride and groom to be happy. We used our own caterer!
The place is just beautiful inside. We had comments from our guest that were wowwed by the building and interior! Chairs and tables were included which reduced some of the rental costs. The day was beautiful and lovely with this reception venue. Laura sent us a postcard a couple of weeks later wishing us a long and happy life together! How charming.

Overall our venue was breath taking! The only issue we would like to see moving forward is having a permanent building manager. The owner however was AMAZING! He made sure everything was ready to go. Very affordable gem in the city of Richmond.

I’ve been trying to reach them to hire them for my wedding and reception but after 6 voicemails and 5 emails, I haven’t gotten ahold of anyone, no body has emailed or called me back and now their number is out of service. I believe they must have closed down without telling anyone.

Very rude and unprofessional receptionist. Seems very ghetto and uneducated she later blocked my number so I could not complain about the service i received
