Guildford Farm offers a truly unique experience with a historic 8,000 square ft home, 4,000 sq ft reception center, 150 acres of private property (with miles of walking trails), beautiful views (mountain and water), privacy, flexibility, indoor/outdoor options, and overnight accommodations. Less than 30 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and only 10 miles from the airport, tucked away in the heart of Virginia’s wine country sits Guildford Farm, one of Central Virginia’s most relaxed and comfortable farm wedding venues. Built in the 1790’s, Guildford Farm was the original home of the Early family, the namesake of Earlysville, VA. The property served as a cattle farm for decades. In 2003, the 8,000 square foot home was completely restored. From the tranquility of the gently rolling hay-fields and shaded lakeside banks to the stateliness of the historic farmhouse and rustic barn, the property is as unique as it is expansive. We offer significantly more than just your typical "farm or barn wedding"! Given the property’s size, we encourage you to explore and imagine the possibilities. If you want your guests to have an unforgettable experience - encourage them to explore the newly maintained "Lover's Loop" walking trail immediately accessible next to the reception center. The 150 acres of private property provides for a very intimate setting for your special occasion.

Our custom designed event facility offers 4,000 square ft of temperature controlled indoor space including all of the amenities needed to provide an extra level of comfort for your guests (recommendation of 50-200 guests) and vendors. This is not your typical farm and barn venue: our modern reception center was designed for weddings/events...but also matches the timeless beauty and classiness of the entire Guildford Farm property. Between the Home and the Event Center Loft (which includes a flat screen tv, private bathroom, and walk out deck with incredible views), there are many options for both sides of the wedding party to get ready! Our restrooms in the Event Center have THREE toilets each...so no need to worry about your guests having long waits for a bathroom break. Each also has an ADA accessible stall.
