Northfield Estate

Northfield Estate is a luxury estate wedding venue in Cumberland, Virginia. It sits on nearly 60 acres of countryside between Richmond and Charlottesville. Located just over two miles from the Cumberland County line via US-60 E and VA-13 E, the estate is 10 minutes from Powhatan, 25 minutes from Farmville, about 40 minutes from Richmond, and just under 90 minutes from Charlottesville. The 8,300-square-foot Estate Home is the centerpiece of the property. It has a two-story center foyer, a sweeping spiral staircase, floor-to-ceiling windows, and crystal chandeliers. The indoor ballroom works well for intimate weddings, with room for up to 90 guests for a ceremony or 60 for a seated reception.

For outdoor ceremonies, couples can marry under our willow oak tree or on the lower terrace, with a grand entrance down the center staircase. Couples who want a rustic-chic feel can use the historic Dairy Barn as their backdrop. Receptions take place in our 5,900-square-foot twin-peak sailcloth tent, which glows warmly at night as guests celebrate. The tent is set against some of the best sunset views in Central Virginia. Every wedding at Northfield Estate includes:
