The Wool Factory is a unique wedding venue located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Originally The Historic Woolen Mills, a 19th-century textile mill located one mile from downtown Charlottesville, it's now an open, airy event space. However, its clean industrial design has been preserved, combining historic charm with modern convenience.

Facilities and Capacity

The Wool Factory can seat up to 360 guests in over 6,000 square feet of space. It can host ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and more. Featuring an artisan-style restaurant, a craft microbrewery, and both a coffee and wine shop, it makes a stylish, distinctive wedding location. A variety of indoor spaces are available, including the spacious Main Hall, which is perfect for larger groups. More intimate gatherings can be held in the smaller Broadcloth and Workshop rooms. Outdoor seating is also available in the Courtyard for up to 180 guests. Additionally, the venue features a dedicated dressing loft and stunning views of the creek. Its minimal design allows you the creative freedom to transform the space to your liking.

Services Offered

The Wool Factory offers in-house catering overseen by Executive Chef Tucker Yoder. Their talented culinary team will work with you to create your perfect menu, using only the finest local ingredients. You and your guests can also enjoy access to custom event beer production and labeling in the on-site craft brewery. Other amenities include accessible restrooms, on-site parking for up to 300 guests, a bar, locally-made tables and benches, and all necessary dishware and tableware.
