The Wool Factory is a distinctive wedding venue located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Once part of the Historic Woolen Mills, this restored 19th-century textile mill has been transformed into an open, light-filled event space that blends historic character with modern convenience. Its preserved industrial design offers a timeless backdrop for weddings of all styles.
Facilities and Capacity
With over 6,000 square feet of flexible event space, The Wool Factory can host weddings of up to 360 guests. The venue accommodates ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and wedding weekends with ease.
Indoor spaces include the expansive Main Hall for larger celebrations, as well as the Broadcloth Dining Room and Workshop Loft for more intimate gatherings. Outdoor celebrations can be held in the Courtyard, which seats up to 180 guests and offers scenic creekside views. Additional amenities include a dedicated dressing loft and minimal, adaptable design elements that allow couples to fully personalize their day.
Services Offered
The Wool Factory offers in-house catering led by Executive Chef Tucker Yoder, with custom menus crafted using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Couples and guests may also enjoy beverages from the on-site craft microbrewery, with options for custom event beer and labeling.
Additional amenities include a full-service bar, custom-built tables and benches, curated tabletop pieces, accessible restrooms, and on-site parking for up to 300 guests.

We had such an amazing experience working with Claire and Danielle throughout the entire process (and through COVID). They both were incredibly helpful with any questions or concerns we had and always got back to us quickly. It really put us at ease knowing that we had professionals handling our event, especially given that we were not local to Charlottesville.
The food is incredible! Everything at our tasting was so delicious that we had a difficult time narrowing down what to choose. We also opted to have the desserts made in house instead of having a wedding cake and they were beyond words. If you're a foodie this is your place!
The food is amazing, any space at the venue is breathtaking, and we received so many compliments from people at our wedding about how much they loved everything about it. We're so grateful to have found the Wool Factory for our wedding!
