I cannot rave enough about Greencroft Club. I was blown away by the staff at Greencroft, who made sure we had the best rehearsal dinner and wedding ever. The food was fabulous and there was fantastic service at the bar. Our wedding was outside under the beautiful oak tree and our reception was in a tent outside. The tree is stunning in fall and made for the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. Finally, Katy Kirby, our venue coordinator, was an absolute rockstar. She took care of every detail, all trouble-shooting, and put us totally at ease. Amid the overpriced wineries and estates, the Greencroft Club is a total hidden gem!

We did a full buyout of the space for a 160 person wedding in May 2025, and I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding! There are many nice picturing-taking spots around the property. We were able to get some more nature focused pictures outside and then moved inside to capture the wonderful industrial feel of the space. We had about 20 tables of 8-9 people and it didn't feel cramped. The food was amazing and almost exactly like what we tried at the tasting. The staff was great during the event. We had to move our ceremony inside and they did the room flip to cocktail hour super quickly! Although it was pricey, we appreciate that the Wool Factory handled everything that had to do the with tables, we did not need to rent plates, napkins, glassware, etc and it was nice to just have all of that tied in with the food and beverage. The only downsides I would mention was that communication was a bit slow (I often had to send a followup email to get a response), the beer options were not given to us until 30 days before, and we had to rent chairs for the tables since they only provided benches. Also they had a strict "no bare feet" on the dance floor, which is totally understandable, but I wish I would have know beforehand so that I could have warned my guests to bring flats in addition to their heels. Overall, it was a beautiful venue and we had an amazing day!

From setting up our initial tour with Shannon in January to the execution of our wedding in December, our experience with Common House was one to remember. Shannon is SO enthusiastic and supportive! We worked with Dalton for our tasting. He took down notes based on our feedback of each dish and passed it along to the kitchen to execute during our reception. Dalton and the CH staff worked with our coordinator and catered to our every need. The food was great, the drinks were great, and we loved having these handled in-house rather than booking separate vendors to handle those needs. The venue is so unique and was the perfect size space for our small wedding. Highly recommended if you’re also planning a small wedding!

Mount Ida Barn was a beautiful setting for an outdoor/indoor wedding. Everyone I dealt with at Mount Ida from start to finish was extremely professional and I would highly recommend this venue. It is very reasonably priced and the grounds looked beautiful for the outdoor ceremony and the barn is beautiful and big for a nice sized reception. We were so happy we picked this venue!

We had our wedding there! Loved the space, they had a lot of options for the cost and are great value for the $$ (at time of writing). Tina was always very responsive and accommodating for when we wanted to visit and look at the space. Only thing is, be prepared to DIY most of your event if you hold it there. They have a list of vendors they like to work with that makes the process easier. It's also off of a windy country road so careful driving is a must!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at the Holiday Inn University Charlotteville and it was AMAZING! The staff was so accomodating and responsive to our needs. The atmosphere was very elegant and everything was so perfectly placed. The chef and his staff were beyond comparison. The food was delicious, and the staff constantly monitored supply and demand. Actually, according to the Bride, who is extremely picky, the food was "out of this world". From the moment we contacted their Director of Sales and made our commitment we were so at ease. It was so well organized, detail oriented, and focused on our individual needs. Our questions or changes were always meet with a positive attitude. The hotel has a "what can we do to help you" type of attitude and atmosphere. Most of our guests were from out of town (up North)and they could not believe how "perfect" everything was and how friendly the hotel staff was. All of our out of town guests made their lodging reservations here as well. They commented on how clean their rooms were as well as how cozy the atmosphere was. I honestly have to say I never stressed about our reception, catering, or accomodations for one moment. If you are looking for an elegant,enjoyable, and accomodating venue that keeps in mind the expenses that go into a wedding while providing a fairy tale atmosphere on such a special and memorable day I highly recommend the Holiday Inn University Charlottesville. Boar’s Head was the perfect place to host our wedding! I loved that you could host your entire wedding weekend at Boar’s Head and there are so many great options for each event, depending on the weather and number of guests. The grounds are stunning and we had so many great options for photography as well. We initially planned on an indoor ceremony since March is so unpredictable, but the weather ended up being perfect and they were able to flawlessly move the ceremony outside to the Greens with just a day’s notice. We had our reception in the Pavilion and it was so elegant and allowed for the perfect flow for our cocktail hour and dinner. We had the pleasure of working with Lauren Wallis as our wedding coordinator and she truly went above and beyond. We were in constant contact the year leading up to our wedding and she was able to accommodate all of our requests, down to the type of glassware for our signature drinks! Most of our guests stayed at the Boar’s Head and they absolutely loved the rooms, amenities, and the restaurant and bar at the inn. The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were excellent on our wedding- our guests loved the food and open bar. The bartenders and waitstaff were also so professional. We had such a great experience with Boar’s Head throughout the planning process and thought the weekend was truly perfect. Thank you Boar’s Head!

Comfort Inn was wonderful- they gave us quite a reduced rate for having so many people stay there. Also, they were very helpful in providing the guests with directions around Charlottesville. I have stayed at this Comfort Inn numerous times and I will go back!
