The Maridor was an amazing venue. Seth was great to work with for both the venue and catering. They were so accomodating to our ideas and executed everything with ease! They were great to work with while planning, and it was clear they are experts with how seamlessly the night went (and how stress-free it was as the bride). Would 100% recommend!

The Cstering staff and hotel went above ankh beyond our expectations for our wedding. It was set up beautifully! The overall experience was professional, the added personal touches was amazing. Our guest can't strop talking about how the food was! The strolling experience was a hit! Thanks Janet and Hotel Roanoke!

They were wonderful. I highly recommend all brides using Hollins Univeristy for their wedding! It was great!

We had our ceremony at the Taubman Museum of Art and it was absolutely gorgeous. We loved the stone wall, the long staircase, the light coming in through all the windows - it was just perfect. In addition to all that, Whitney was hands down the best person to work with. She was super responsive to any questions I had and didn't mind me email her a bajillion times in a row. The girls and I got ready on the third floor - we had mimosas, brought in Benny's for lunch, and took pictures out on the balcony. Whitney and Jackie were absolute professionals and made the entire day super easy and stress-free. I would definitely recommend the Taubman to anyone wanting to get married in downtown Roanoke.

I couldn't have picked a better venue for my winter wedding. The layout for the ceremony and reception was everything I've dreamed of.

I hosted the reception dinner for my October 2015 wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn. I worked with event coordinator Courtney Powell and she was absolutely amazing to work with. My wedding was at Silver Hearth Lodge (I have a separate review of this gorgeous venue on their WW page) so I booked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn for guests to stay the night. I was originally planning on doing a super informal rehearsal and rehearsal dinner in the lobby/parlor suite of another hotel, but after speaking to Courney and hearing about what the Hilton could offer, I changed my mind. Courtney was so easy to work with, she was always professional, super nice, very flexible and patient with me, even when I was emailing a lot or asking lots of questions. She put together a delicious menu, worked with us on the wine/beer bar, and really just put everything together perfectly. She took away all of my stress and made the event a huge success! All of the staff we worked with on the rehearsal evening were great too. I would definitely recommend working with Courtney and the Hilton regardless of what type of event you are planning. She is awesome and you will definitely be happy with the results!!!

We are from out of town and a friend suggested we use this space for our son’s rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely perfect! We booked the Penthouse for the entire weekend which was also perfect. We used it for the rehearsal dinner on Friday night, a cocktail reception on Saturday before the wedding dinner and then for a very casual grab and go brunch on Sunday. It was marvelous having the flexibility of the space, being able to keep flowers in the refrig, etc. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and are extremely professional. Caroline is a wealth of information and extremely creative. We highly recommend this venue and their staff. We would absolutely use it again.
