Located on the top floor of the historic City Market Building, Charter Hall is at the heart of Downtown Roanoke Virginia. As you step off the elevator, you are greeted with one of the best views of downtown & the iconic Roanoke Star. Charter Hall can easily accommodate up to 500 guests in various layouts, or up to 240 for formal dining. This flexible event space offers historic charm with modern amenities & acts as the perfect canvas for creating your dream Wedding and/or Reception!

The Wedding Package Includes:

  • Large built in stage & dance floor
  • Set up & breakdown of all of our in-house tables & chairs
  • Use of the bridal suite with private restroom
  • Use of the catering kitchen
  • Use of the state of the art audio visual equipment: microphones, projector, & Bose sound system
  • Full day rental of the 3rd floor

Wonderful Venue

I couldn't have picked a better venue for my winter wedding. The layout for the ceremony and reception was everything I've dreamed of.

Kaylee at Charter Hall was hands down amazing. She helped us with everything related to the City Market Building. The staff was super friendly! They even helped bring things up to the third floor for us (even though that wasn't their job). All chairs and tables were set up just how we asked and the space was very clean. The space is so fun and unique. It really shows off Downtown Roanoke. (Photos coming soon)

Our Perfect Venue

Charter Hall is a gem in the center of downtown Roanoke. At the heart of the action and overlooking all of the iconic landmarks, Charter Hall provided the perfect space for us to welcome our out of town guests and show them a good time.

We loved the unique space and many options we had at Charter Hall; they’ll certainly helped us get exactly what we were looking for! Throughout the process of planning our wedding, Kalee at Charter Hall was flexible and helped in every way possible. She is incredibly sweet and made planning much easier and more enjoyable. We are so grateful to have found the perfect venue for the perfect day!
