Madison at the Mill was the perfect blend of rustic and industrial with the barn doors and beautiful wood everything and the high exposed ceilings with pipework showing. It matched our personalities quite well and the space is large and open without feeling too large. Their bride/groom suites were perfect for the day of and their many many bathrooms came in handy during the reception, no one waited for a bathroom all night!! Robert and Shalese are so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process. We don't live close to Orange, VA so there were many emails exchanged with many questions and there were quick to respond and answer them all! People raved about the space and I am so grateful to them both for making our wedding day so wonderful!!

I don't even know where to begin... having our wedding at Rounton Farm was better than we could've possibly imagined. We visited after our first wedding venue had to close and were scrambling to find another location. Ellen was incredibly professional, easy to work with, and generous with her time from start to finish. She has a very calming and easygoing presence that made the planning process feel less stressful. She patiently answered all of our questions in the year leading up to our wedding, was extremely reasonable and safe about COVID, and understanding and supportive when we decided to postpone our wedding. With every request we made, she would work with us to find a solution -- she's truly one of the easiest people to work with! She made sure everything was where it needed to be during the wedding weekend and was flexible about our time on-site. When they had to fix an issue with their bridal suite, they seamlessly moved us over to her mother's home for getting ready (very kind of everyone involved). The venue itself is stunning. We got married underneath the big oak tree, which offers a beautiful view of rolling hills. We really wanted a venue where everything was in one place, and it was awesome to be able to walk a few hundred feet from the ceremony location to the barn. The barn itself is in fantastic shape and the loft provides a great vantage point for guests and photos. There are also tons of flower bushes, hedges, and private spots around the property for family and couple photos. So many people told us that it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been to, and a lot of that is because of Ellen and her family's great care of the barn and property. I honestly can't think of anything we didn't love about working with Ellen and Rounton Farm. Having our first venue cancel on us was the best thing that could've happened, and I encourage anyone who wants to get married at a beautiful family farm to consider Rounton. We also have to give a plug to our fabulous wedding coordinator, Trudy Slocum (trudy.slocum@gmail.com). She is truly one of the most organized, caring, and loving people I've ever met. She went above and beyond, over and over again, to make our wedding the incredible day it was. While we hired her as a month-of coordinator, she started working with us well in advance, met with us countless times to walk through details, troubleshoot issues, etc. She has a storage room full of decorations that she brings with her to weddings, which was a hugely helpful, and has a ton of floral and design experience. Beyond coordinating our wedding and providing decorations, she also crafted beautiful menu and transportation cards for us (out of the kindness of her heart!), shopped for and set up our cocktail hour grazing table, and helped with food and drink at our welcome party the night before. I can't count the number of times my husband and I looked at each other and said, "we are so lucky to have Trudy." She made us feel so comfortable and cared for -- our families adored her too. For our wedding, she brought her friend and caterer, Kim Beery-Stone (another absolute gem!), to help and the two of them did an incredible job. At no point during our wedding did we feel stressed or concerned about logistics. We were able to enjoy ourselves completely, and that is thanks to Trudy and Kim! We couldn't have asked for a better venue and coordinator combo :)

We recently had our wedding here on 4/25/2026 and everything about this place was great. Absolutely wonderful staff made planning and having our wedding feel stress free. We happened to have rain during our wedding for about 80 guests, but Chanel’s ability to plan ahead and the beautiful wrap around covered porch felt seamless and everyone had an amazing time. We opted to stay the night prior to our big day with the full bridal party which allowed lots of downtime, time to set up and socialization periods. 11/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cute, historic place to celebrate their big day.

The Pavilion on Lakeland Farm is beautiful. The minute we finished walking the property, I knew it was where I wanted to get married and a week later my husband and I booked our wedding date. It checked almost every box on our list which included some unique/uncommon things we were worried about...like plenty of parking, close to a hotels for out of town guests, space for the groom on property to get ready (so many venues seem to forgot or not worry about the groom!), air conditioned indoor reception space (important for an August wedding!), and so much more. We loved our beautiful, picture perfect outdoor ceremony in the garden and the multiple locations we had on the land for pictures (seriously there are so many great spots!). We even got some with the horses on the property! Janet was great to work with. She is so kind and always very responsive. This venue is really a hidden gem and I'm so glad we found it. Our wedding was wonderful and overall we are very happy and would highly recommend the venue!

Tess and Emmie from The Market At Grelen were absolutely incredible. My daughter and I fell in love with the Boxwood Villa venue from out first visit. The home itself is beautiful and the accommodations were perfect for my daughters special day. We loved everything about working with The Grelen and staying at the Boxwood Villa. They literally greeted us with open arms and were there through the entire process to answer ANY and ALL questions. There response time was immediate. I even called Emmie two days before the rehearsal dinner in a panic that I had not ordered my daughter a bouquet for her rehearsal, and Emmie put one together with all the gorgeous seasonal flowers from the Grelen~! I can not express my gratitude to both Tess and Emmie for their warmth and support~! The Boxwood Villa will be a place that our family will be able to return to every year on the anniversary of the wedding~!
