Your Day. Your venue. We're here to help make your vision a reality! Thatch Winery is a boutique property located just 10 minutes from downtown Charlottesville. Lined with meticulously manicured vineyards and mature trees, Thatch provides the perfect setting to exchange vows on your special day. We’ve been hosting weddings for the past 18 years and recently underwent extensive renovations to enhance the experience for our wedding couples.

The Spaces:

Indoor - Rustic Loft:

This recently renovated space features a built-in bar, stunning slate fireplace, and enchanting bistro lighting throughout. This is an ideal space for a relaxed reception that allows guests to mingle and dance the night away in comfort.

Outdoor - View of the Vineyard:

The outdoor option provides the most flexibility for design. This outdoor event space is nestled near our vines and the space can be tented to accommodate up to 200 people.

Couples are welcome to use licensed vendors of their choosing or select from our list of preferred vendors.

All-day access to our Bridal Suite is included in every package. Caterers will have access to our warming kitchen.

Situated on 60 acres, Thatch Winery features gardens, patios, a new expansive back deck, a renovated loft, two fireplaces and three tasting bars. Thatch has over 12 acres under vine featuring varietals such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Thatch is the only winery in the country with a custom thatched roof, which was topped off in 2015.
