King Family Vineyards

When my husband and I toured this place, we both knew it was the place we were going to have our wedding. The outdoor space and view is absolutely breathtaking. The fact that there are outdoor, outdoor covered, and indoor ceremony spots is a huge plus to this venue as well! The indoor space is amazing for weddings of all sizes since the dance floor is in the middle of space which we loved. King Family was very easy to work with and helped us put on a fantastic event! We got so many compliments!!

We could not have imagined our wedding anywhere else! King Family is absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding was in the fall and the backdrop truly felt like a dream. Juan was incredible to work with every step of the way - so kind, responsive, and organized, which made the planning process so smooth. We also had such a fun time during the wine tasting process leading up to the wedding! We’re endlessly grateful to have celebrated our day in such a beautiful and meaningful place!

King Family is one of our favorite spots in Charlottesville because of the mountain views from the valley. We’re so glad we chose to have our wedding in their unbeatable setting. Kim and Juan were a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process- it seems they do this about twice a weekend, so they are super experienced, and all of my vendors had an easy time working with them. It doesn’t get smoother and more beautiful than KFV!

We loved our wedding at KFV! Everything was so well run and the space was pristine. I love that we were able to utilize both indoor & outdoor spaces throughout the evening, giving people flexibility to get fresh air and stunning sunset pictures. KFV are such professionals when it comes to weddings, you don't even realize all the work going on behind the scenes to make everything completely seamless. I would recommend this gorgeous, professional, well-designed venue to anyone that wants a breathtaking wedding!

Your stunning backdrop and wonderful atmosphere (not to mention the amazing wine!) provided the most beautiful setting both inside and outside for Katie and Jon’s wedding weekend. The hospitality your entire team showed us and our guests truly made the event feel seamless, especially with the unknown weather. We also appreciate your help in securing reserved space for our friends and family to gather and watch polo the day after the wedding. That was icing on the wedding cake! We found King Family Vineyards offered "something for everyone" for my daughter's wedding. Beautiful outdoor options (for ceremony and cocktail hour), awesome indoor space (with plenty of room to move between tables and accommodate a large head table and band/dance floor), delicious wine (a few of our guests ordered cases to be delivered to their homes), and a professional and accommodating staff during the planning process. All our vendors were pleased to work on a wedding at King - which made everything from ceremony and reception set-up to kitchen prep, cooking, and serving run smoothly. To cap it off, the setting provided an extremely picturesque backdrop to the wedding photos. Loved this venue!

KFV was an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. The venue is gorgeous inside and out. Our vendors routinely said how much they enjoy working with the KFV team. Juan and Gail were responsive to all of our questions, arranged a great wine tasting for us, and helped us bury the bourbon onsite. I lost track of how many guests said this was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to, and it really is!

Since the very first time I ever visited (which was before my husband & I even started dating), I knew I wanted to get married at King Family Vineyards. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the facilities are equally gorgeous. In learning more about the amenities they offer, we knew this was the wedding venue of our dreams!

Juan and the rest of the Events team made planning a breeze. They were prompt in answering any questions we had, and their professionalism & experience in event planning was evident in their responses to us. They also provided an extensive list of preferred vendors, which was my North Star in planning - though we had a day-of coordinator, we found all of our vendors ourselves, and I always started with this resource from King's when looking for who to hire. With regards to the wine selection, our tasting was so fun, and we didn't have to worry about running out of anything during the actual event since they were available to pull any additional bottles we needed.

Financially, they were very transparent about what was included before the contract was even signed - there were no surprise fees or hidden venue "upgrades" that would have costed extra. We also appreciated how much flexibility we had in what vendors we selected, which ultimately allowed us to stay within our budget. Many of the vineyards we looked into in the Central VA area have strict requirements about outside vendors, especially with catering, which can add up quickly in addition to what they charge for the venue, but with King's, we had a lot of autonomy in these decisions. They also provided their wines at a discounted rate and bought back any unopened bottles we didn't use or want to take home.

My biggest suggestion is to book as soon as you can, especially if you want a fall wedding! Their calendar fills up fast just because they're such an incredible venue. I also want to mention that we got married in mid-November post-daylight savings, and though I was initially concerned about this timing (first because of the foliage and second we had our ceremony at 4:30 pm before the winery closed), we luckily had beautiful weather with a colorful backdrop, and the time of day didn't end up mattering at all. We are still getting rave reviews and compliments from our guests about how magical our venue was!

Overall, having our wedding at King Family Vineyards was absolutely a dream, and I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks a million for making our wedding so enchanting and memorable, King's!

My husband and I got married here in July. Beautiful location for a wedding with very helpful professional staff!

This is a perfect venue. You get so much for the cost. There is an in door option to get married in the event of rain, so no need to deal with a tent. String lights have been permanently installed!! The chairs and tables are included too!! You can bring any caterer you want!! It is such a beautiful vineyard you just can’t beat it. Views of the mountains, the barn, horses, the colors for the pictures are amazing. The wine is excellent. Juan was amazing and so helpful for my daughter needs and questions. Thank you Juan and the all staff of King family vineyard.
