Not only is this venue beautiful and historic, it is run by the nicest, most flexible and accommodating people I have ever met. Not a single thing about working with them was stressful or unpleasant, it was completely smooth sailing and easily the least stressful part of planning and executing the wedding.

This venue is gorgeous. I always wanted a wedding in the woods and then a reception under string lights and that is exactly what I got. We also did our rehearsal the day before in the Magnolia room and it was so lovely. The prices are VERY reasonable, especially when compared to other venues that charge more and offer way less. Anything I asked they were happy to help with, so much of the credit for how well the wedding went goes to them.

If I had to do it all again I would not hesitate to work with them again. If anyone is looking for a lovely garden wedding, this is the place. I would reccomend it to anyone who is interested in an outdoor or historic venue, or just a venue that is beautiful and pleasant to work with.

Historic Jasmine won me over years before my engagement. As a wedding vendor myself, I fell in love with the charm of the grounds and the ease of working with the Smith family. I could not imagine my wedding day anywhere else! My husband fell in love with the venue the moment we turned down the long driveway. The venue has a great deal of character and a cozy ambiance. The owners go above and beyond to assist their clients and the wedding vendors on site. We highly recommend Historic Jasmine!

The Smith family and the Historic Jasmine venue were the perfect match for us and our wedding day! We got married on a beautiful fall day in New Kent, VA and the stunning backdrop of Historic Jamine was so picturesque. Historic Jasmine was a beautiful place to get married. They have several spaces available for use, and each one of them was lovely. Ashton is responsive to emails and happy to help in any way. They are easy to work with, and allow couples to bring in their own vendors, which seems unique to many wedding venues. They helped with setup for the day and had some rentals available as well. We are so happy that we had our wedding here!

We chose Historic Jasmine for our December wedding, and it was by far the best experience from start to finish. Out of all of the vendors we chose, the folks at Historic Jasmine made us feel the most valued and special for our big day. The communication is amazing and questions are answered quickly. They were able to change my ceremony location on site in a few hours notice. I highly recommend you take a look at their venue!

The smith family went above and beyond to make this space absolutely beautiful. As soon as my husband and I walked on the property we knew it’s where we wanted to get married. They were very professional and always easy to get a hold of. The venue was the perfect backdrop for our special day and we couldn’t have loved it more.

We immediately felt at ease and connected to the Smith family when we first met with Mr. Smith and son Ashton. We visited the venue for the first time in the winter and fell in love with it; it only got more beautiful in the spring and summer with flowers and foliage in full bloom. The landscape was the perfect backdrop to the creative décor, which allowed for spectacular and enchanting photo ops. We loved the outdoor shed bar and took advantage of booking the 7 suites in the main house for our bridal party, which was very convenient. The suites are adorable, and all of the 6 full baths were stocked with amenities. The coffee and continental breakfast were appreciated the next morning.

Throughout the planning process, which I did in just a 6-month engagement period, Ashton was extremely quick to respond to all of my requests and questions, often responding back to me even outside of normal business hours, which I appreciated as that was when I was able to do most of my planning.

I truly appreciated that as part of the venue package the Smiths include a lot of the décor items (tables, chairs, etc.) at no additional cost, which really helps with the expenses. While I did rent farmhouse style tables for the reception, the venue's white padded chairs looked great with them, and the Smiths had the chairs and all other venue items set up just as I had laid out in my design plan! My Day of Coordinator said it was a breeze working with them too, though I wouldn’t have known it because they respectfully stay hidden during your whole event.

We truly loved our venue and got so many compliments on it; one friend who had been to 7 weddings already this year said it was her favorite venue she’d been to. The only thing that could have been better was payment options. The only online payment had a very high transaction fee associated so opted for the cheaper route of sending checks by mail. They gladly accept this method, which saved me a lot of money, but I wish it was more convenient as my other vendors all had other electronic forms of payment that did not charge the transaction fee. I will say that they are constantly improving and creating at their property so they could have an upgrade to this by the time you are interested in booking. On my first walkthrough of the property, they had just finished beautiful, paved pathways connecting all of the main event spaces near the large marquee tent and two new handicap accessible bathrooms were under construction and completed when I next returned to take more pictures and videos since I forgot to do so my first time there. In summary, the proprietors were fantastic, professional, helpful, kind, and responsive, the venue is breathtaking, and the manor house is quaint and kitschy in the best way. Look no further, this is your place!

My daughter was married last weekend at the Historic Jasmine and they could not have chosen a more perfect place for their special day!! From the very beginning, the Smith family was amazing. They were there to help every step of the way. The venue was all encompassing. From the cocktail hour outside by the treehouse bar to the big event tent and of course the beautiful Chapel In The Woods. The photos do not do it justice, you definitely need to see it in person. On Friday, we had our rehearsal Dinner and a Night Before Party and stayed the night in the Manor House which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend staying at the house for the full historic experience. Thank you Don and Ashton for making our daughter and now son-in-law's wedding a day they will cherish forever!!!
