History Historic Jasmine Plantation can be characterized by its rich history and is known for being a site used by George Washington’s Revolutionary Army on October 8, 1781. Built in 1680, the home was originally owned by George Morris, a surveyor and friend of the first president. The existing property was reconstructed in 1750, which is where George Washington and his regiments rested to prepare for the upcoming Battle of Yorktown. It was then, just days after their stay, that they won the Revolutionary War. The Morris family continued to take care of the establishment until 1850. In 1918, it was then purchased by Henry and Matte Brenneman. An accomplished artist, Matte’s murals around the property can still be admired by visitors today.

Don with Historic Jasmine plantation was absolutely outstanding. He answered all of our questions efficiently and helped relieve some of the stress that comes with wedding planning. Historic Jasmine Plantation is absolutely beautiful. They have a rain back up plan which we did end up using, and multiple choices for ceremony site and reception sites. The Manor house has multiple rooms and bathrooms which was very helpful when supplying rooms for the wedding party. We would 100% recommend Historic Jasmine Plantation to anyone planning a wedding!!

Wedding Dreams Come True!
After touring many venue locations, I knew Historic Jasmine Plantation was going to be our venue before I even got out of the car. Don and his family were fantastic to work with from beginning to end! They made planning (and re-planning) extremely easy and enjoyable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with SO many options for photos, ceremony locations, etc. The property is impeccably maintained and taken care of. The drapes and lights inside the reception tent will literally take your breath away. Our family and guests were blown away. I would recommend Historic Jasmine over and over!

The perfect venue
Oh my goodness - where to start?! My husband and I knew that Jasmine would be the perfect venue for our October wedding within minutes of meeting the owner, Don. He has a true love for love, and it is evident in the work that he and his family put in to this beautiful historic home and its grounds. We had a contract for the entire weekend, and our entire bridal party and their significant others were able to stay at the venue Friday and Saturday night. Anything owned by Jasmine, Don and his family set up and broke down both days (we had our rehearsal dinner on the Magnolia Terrace Friday evening). The "Chapel in the Woods" was the most beautiful location for our ceremony, and the reception tent was absolutely lovely. We had 120 guests, and the reception tent was the perfect size for that many. There are nooks and sweet spots all around the grounds, and our guests loved everything about the venue. We heard nothing but glowing reviews! When we booked with Jasmine, Don gave us a curated list of vendors in the area that they recommend, which was so helpful as we worked through bookings. Getting married at Jasmine is easy, delightful, and full of love. You truly feel like you are getting married at a family home! I cannot say enough positive things about Don, his family, and the venue!
Beautiful venue with rustic charm! Feels like home away from home! You can move on in for the weekend with your bridal party and they have most everything you need (you can still get your linens from us - hint, hint!). The owners are two of the nicest folks you will ever meet in your life! And, they are always working on the property and adding on every year!
The property is Very well maintained. As a DJ using the facilities, no issues at all. The set-up area's for the DJ and caterer are all excellent. The couples can rent the B&B too, Highly recommend this.
