Chapelle is an associate editor at WeddingWire, where she focuses on everything from wedding advice to the latest industry trends. She has several years of editorial experience and is excited to help couples with essential wedding planning tips and unique ideas. Chapelle grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and currently lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. When she has free time, she loves cooking Italian food (who can live without pasta and garlic?!), thrift shopping for graphic tees and spending long hours at her local library.

Experience

She started her writing career in 2018 as an editorial intern for NOLA Family Magazine and Boomers Magazine. After this, her love for journalism blossomed. Over the next couple of years, she worked as an editorial intern for the New Orleans Review and Subvrt Magazine, where she reviewed submitted manuscripts, interviewed entrepreneurs and wrote articles. In between internships, Chapelle focused on features and creative writing. She wrote for 433 Magazine, an online art and literature magazine, interviewed best-selling young adult author Leah Johnson about her debut novel, You Should See Me in a Crown, for New Orleans Review and fact-checked the book manuscript TV by Susan Bordo.

Education

Chapelle graduated from Loyola University New Orleans, where she majored in English writing. Her favorite courses involved creative writing, where she loved writing ominous short stories, working on her screenplay and writing essays about the parallels in the works of Charles Dickens and Shonda Rhimes. In her senior year, she received a Certificate in Editing and Publishing.

WeddingWire Q&A With Chapelle

What is your ideal wedding style?

Halloween is my favorite holiday, so a wedding with moody, gothic vibes is a must. Gold candelabra centerpieces, sultry linens draped behind the sweetheart table and a red velvet cake with black frosting are some of details I would love at my dream wedding.

Dream honeymoon location?

My dream honeymoon location is Vietnam. Vietnamese food is one of my top three favorite cuisines, so exploring the culinary scenes in Da Lat, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon would be the perfect postwedding treat.

What was (or would be) your first dance song?

Because I was very much a part of the Twilight craze as a kid, I can't get enough of Bella and Edward's wedding song "Turning Page" by Sleeping at Last. This romantic tune would be my first and last dance song.

Favorite celebrity wedding look?

Venue Williams would have to be my top pick because she didn't wear just one wedding look. Williams stunned in 12 bridal looks, and I haven't been able to stop looking at the outfits since the photos dropped. (Psst: The custom Kim Kassas Couture dress was my favorite.)
