Be sure to bring the song(s) of your choice with you to your first lesson. If you have wedding shoes, you may want to bring those along and practice in them to be certain that you will be comfortable and well balanced while dancing. It is wise and highly recommended to begin your dance instruction 3-6 months BEFORE your wedding. This will ensure confidence and natural ease on the day of your wedding. The goal is to look like a natural and not be nervous!
The Benefits of Dance
Good dancers possess self-confidence, poise, and the ability to enjoy themselves more at social events. Learning how to dance will instill motivation, creativity and energy. This of course will improve other aspects of your day-to-day life.
Dancing is a form of exercise and a great way to burn those calories! You will increase your flexibility, strength, stamina, coordination, and balance. It can improve your health and it's more fun than going to the gym!
With all the hustle and bustle of your fast paced day, you may often forget to take a moment for yourself. Dancing provides a temporary escape from work, family, bills, etc. It's a chance to relax, relieve stress, and concentrate on YOU for once.
So pamper yourself a little. You deserve it.
The road to becoming a good dancer will require concentration and dedication. You will always be encouraged by your instructor to practice what you learn on your lessons to develop muscle memory. Each lesson builds on the ones before, so be sure to make it a regular routine. The goal is to look like a natural!
