Due to Montana's size, you'll likely fly in. There are several airports servicing Montana, so your guests are guaranteed to find a way to your wedding in Montana. Billings Logan International Airport is the largest airport in the state, but Bozeman Yellowstone International, Great Falls International, Glacier Park International, and Missoula International all bring visitors in from all over the world. Those driving through will be rewarded with incredible scenery and can stop at Visitor Information Centers for additional travel information. As you travel through, keep in mind that Montana has no sales tax, but does impose a "bed tax" of 4% on overnight lodging. Some areas also impose resort taxes as well, so factor these in as you plan your trip.
A marriage license will cost you $53 in Montana and you'll both need to provide your Social Security number, a government-issued ID, a birth certificate, and the full names and birthplaces of your parents. You don't need to be resident, but non-residents must apply for the license in the county in which they'll be married. There is no waiting period in Montana and, once issued, the marriage license is valid for 180 days.
