Please be AWARE of this vendor. Kimberly Wyckoff is the owner of this company and can not be trusted. She made alot promises but did not follow through. Also she has very poor communication skill and interpersonal skill, ie, she threatened to use a lawyer against me when I had my doubt about her skills. She is a beginner and has shown incompetence coordinating any sort of event. My wedding day was almost ruin because she did not provide flower, decoration, management of wedding day, coordinating with other vendors. She just stood in the back and basically did nothing. She is very unprofessional and I would not recommend her for any future wedding coordinating.

Hiring Kim was the worst decision I could have made. I interviewed other planners but Kim promised she could give me exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford. I paid entirely too much for what she promised me but did not provide. I had to complete things for myself in order to get them finished that she promised she had already taken care of (reserve hotel for out of town guests) She actually told me it had been taken care of and she was in charge of making the maps for inside the invitations. Not only did I get the invitations sent out late because of her, I had to make the maps myself and when I called the hotel she 'booked' they were already booked and my name was not even on the list! She did absolutely nothing at my ceremony!!! In fact, I didn't even know she was there. All in all, she was absolutely horrible and almost ruined my day had it not been for my husband and family.

I want to thank Kim and her staff for stepping in at the last minute and handling the final details of my wedding reception. Everything was beautiful. She made the final days easy for me. I can not thank MLM Events enough for all their hard work.

I was new to Virginia Beach and only had a few months to plan a wedding. Kim got my name and number off a website and contacted me. Basically, I told her I wanted a simple, small affair on the beach and a nice dinner after.

Kim took care of almost everything. I chose the place and the colors and she took care of the rest. She was always available by email and phone, and traveled from Newport News a few times to meet with my husband and I. She gave us an excellent price. She oversaw all the decorating, made my bouquet, boutenierre, and designed all the centerpeices. She was present the entire wedding, before, during and after the ceremony, and for the reception. She handled details I never would have thought about. It was as stress free for me as possible.

I will say my wedding was beautiful and the reception was decorated wonderfully. Kim on the other hand was 2 hours LATE! With no explanation given, I tried to reach her on her phone with no answer, finally got her when I called my parents house trying to find out if she was there yet to pick stuff up for the reception, never got any kind of explanation still as to why she was so late even after I was on the phone crying and stressed about it. Her tardiness caused me to not be able to get a lot of pics. before the ceremony, because we left later than expected after waiting till the very last second we could to leave to get dressed and then waiting even longer for our bouquets that were supposed to be delieved 2 hours earlier at my parents house, so we would have them at the site for pictures. Certain guidelines were not met for my bouquets and when I questioned where the missing things I asked for were she acted like she had NO IDEA what I was talking about! She then walked out checked her notes and said "Oh sorry those were overlooked" mind you these were things we had talked about since the beginning, she talks a good game but did not come through for the most part. The boutonnieres were completely wrong! I told her when reviewing my contract for the last time before the wedding that I requested NO cala lilies and low and behold the guys bouts were cala lilies. My Dad didn't even get his! It was horrible she was the only thing that stressed me out on my wedding day. She was rude to my bridesmaids and basically had everyone in the wedding in stress mode. Even the DJ was talking about her! It was not a good experience. She is the one and only thing I would change about my wedding.

Kim was a fantastic help on the day of our wedding. Up until a month before the wedding we were working with another planning company that was not responsive and lagged in quality. Kim came in where they left off and performed our wedding perfectly. It saved me from a stressful day of running around while trying to prepare - I was able to relax and leave everything up to an incredibly professional woman!

MLM Events went above and beyond to make my wedding day happen. It was thought the wedding would not take place because I had emergency surgery and was in the hospital. I was unable to complete the last minute details. The owner herself came to see me in the hospital, we coverd all last minuted details and she assured me not to worry about a thing. I was lucky to be released a day before the ceremony and I left all details to MLM Events. Everything was perfect! They even went as far as decorating the ceremony site to resemble the beach as a surprise to me. It was beautiful! Their attention to detail is remarkable and the personal touch they added made my day the best one of my life.

When I hired MLM I thought that I would have just a wedding planner, but I was ecstatic when I realized I hired a whole wedding team. The staff comes together to bring multiple ideas to the table so you can get the perfect wedding. MLM was really able to maximize my dollar, and make sure that my budget was were it needed to be. Thanks MLM for giving me my dream wedding!

I had no idea where to even start planning my wedding, and Kim helped me create a realistic plan that took all the stress off of me. I was able to enjoy the planning process and relax on my wedding day. It was such a relief to trust my wedding planner.

I won a drawing at a wedding show for the services at MLM. The actual planning part went great! She helped us out with everything... keeping things organized and making sure all the other vendors were in line.

The wedding day was a disaster! I told her that the chairs would not be set up on the beach that we would need to take care of that... she said she "had it". When the wedding party arrived (my fiance and his guys) nothing was ready. So she had him and the rest of the party set up all of chairs. (THE GROOM HAD TO DO THIS ON HIS WEDDING DAY!)...OH and the guests helped.

She also came to the reception where she took complete control of everything!!!

The toss bouquet was never given to me, my husband and I did not toast to what we wanted (my husband wanted to toast with Mt. Dew)... instead we were given water... and everything seemed chaotic.

Maybe this would have been different had she been paid and not a free service due to a door prize.
