We got engaged in April 2020 - during COVID when everything was so uncertain. We had very specific tastes and after being together for 10 years - we knew that we wanted a wedding that really reflected who we are individually and as a couple. Eddie worked with us to achieve our industrial bohemian vision and remain within our budget.

From landing us the PERFECT venue - Capital Turnaround; to a wonderful graphic designer, Max, who created a truly unique and cool invitation suite; to linking us with Spilled Milk, a catering company that merged our Cajun and Vietnamese cultures in a truly inventive way; to his quest to find us the perfect day-of coordinator in Trish — signing on with him is what made our wedding a fairytale. He helped to negotiate every contract. He made sure that our concerns were communicated and advocated on our behalf. His reputation in the industry was apparent in the respect that each of our vendors clearly had for him.

He always had our backs and was honest with us. We went through a number of potential day-of-coordinators - not because of availability, but because as soon as Eddie saw that they wouldn’t be a good fit, he would immediately look for someone else. This could have been panic-inducing, but I wasn’t scared. He was always transparent with us and I trusted him. I knew if he thought a change needed to be made, it was for good reason. And Trish, who ultimately became our coordinator was perfect. She understood me immediately, came in with suggestions of ideas I didn’t even know I wanted! Her idea to mix lounge seating from the venue in as the ceremony seating truly made our wedding spectacular. I felt like I was getting married in an intimate ceremony in a living room. Seeing all of the little children piled on a giant ottoman over my husband’s shoulder is one of my best memories of that day.

He helped us navigate through the overwhelming options; provided a planning tool that made everything from design, to tracking payments, to guest seating a breeze; helped to schedule all of our meetings with vendors (you would be surprised just how helpful this is - cutting down on preliminary email communications with vendors really reduces stress) and made sure that we were protected in every contract. This was particularly important when planning during the peak of COVID. We needed to be sure that if our wedding needed to be cancelled or postponed, that we wouldn’t lose out on money. He went over every proposal and contract to make sure that we were covered in case of disaster.

He made us feel like we were his most important, if not his only client. After working with him for nearly 3 years - he truly feels like family. He got to know us as a couple and that definitely showed on our wedding day.

During my wedding day, everyone kept telling me I looked very calm, relaxed, and happy. I told them that besides marrying my partner, the best decision for our wedding was to work with Kadzo (for sure)!

We knew her work was already amazing after she did my brothers wedding, so when it was my turn we already knew we wanted to work with her. At that point we had known Kadzo and Eddie for over a year, and felt like family. We had seen her in action navigating complicated family dynamics, doing behind the scenes work to make sure the event goes smooth, and bringing a wedding to an event venue that doesn't usually host them. We worked with Kadzo for a multi-day, LGBTQ Indian wedding and we wouldn't have been able to do it (or have as much fun in the process) without her.

We couldn't thank her enough for making our weekend a DREAM. Working with Kadzo throughout the year was incredibly smooth. First off, she is a legend at working with different personalities. My partner is Type A, I'm pure Type B, and Kadzo was amazing at balancing being on top of everything, but also not overwhelming us with decisions to be made. Everything got done, but without the stress and pressure on our front. There'd so so many meetings where we'd be like "What about this? or that?" and Kadzo would have already thought of, AND taken care of it before it even came across our minds.

Budgets are also a huge logisitical factor, and Kadzo always made sure we got the best value of what we wanted. She would give strong recommendations on when to dive in and otherwise when to pull back, but always keeping our vision in mind. I also even saw her negotiate pricing for linens or something by just giving the vendor a look. That's skill.

She kept our vision in mind, which was helpful because even we'd forget that sometimes when we'd get off course or wrapped up in tiny details! We appreciated her grounding us and bringing us back to reality, and making the wedding planning process a fun experience too (I've heard brides lose their shit - not here)

And when it came to planning things, she always had a "We'll get it done" mindset which was incredibly reassuring when you're deep into planning a million things. We completely switched out our decoration design mid way through planning process and she absolutely NAILED the look working with the decorating team

Even our vendors would tell us how much they love working with Kadzo, which I thought was such a standout thing to have industry people tell you that. They were also ones that we selected, some of whom had never worked with Kadzo, so she was a superstar from the get go. They told us they wished all the planners they work with were like Kadzo.

My favorite moment though, and this goes to show you how dedicated Kadzo is making sure things go smooth as possible, is when she joined my parents in walking down the aisle. My mom's in a wheelchair, and my dad got too excited in the moment and forgot to wheel her down. So Kadzo immediately jumped in and wheeled my mom down herself. I didn't know any of this until I saw the photos that afternoon, but I loved having Kadzo captured in family photos - she IS family at this point!

I could go on about who much we loved working with Kadzo, Eddie, and the Impact Collective team. So much so we had our family work with her twice, as well as some family and friends who went on to work with her too. I'll just wrap it up by saying that a wedding is one of the most intimate and special moments your life, and you'll be better off working with someone who cares about it just as much as you do, has the experience/network to bring it together, and also makes it a fun year-long thing so you can look back on your entire wediing PLANNING process, not just the wedding day, and saw you had a great time. Kadzo made great recommendations for our decor which she flagged during our venue walkthrough which added a much better aesthetic for our ceremony. She took care of everything and went above and beyond. She acts with true professionalism in every manner.

For our Mehendi (Henna) night, we worked with Ali Talwar and Anna Miller. Ali did a great job connecting us with our catering, DJ, and henna artists. She also gave us great recommendations for decor that helped us save money for the DIY event. In the leadup to the event, we worked with the awesome Anna Miller.

This event was more casual but had many moving parts and Anna executed it flawlessly. As someone with an eye for decor (she has a photography background), she took all of our decorations and set them up on her own. She has a natural talent for creating a cohesive and elevated aesthetic. She also went the extra mile and overdelivered. We had a backdrop display where the frame was too small. Anna was kind enough to bring her own and set it up for us.

The logistics she took care of and her incredible responsiveness to emails, texts, and last minute questions made the event seamless. She was always one step ahead and anticipating our needs we didn’t even realize we had. Anna was fun to work with and has a great energy.
