This review is so so late and I’m so sorry for that. Maria was a dream to work with. My mom was diagnosed with late stage cancer and we were in a rush to get married so she could be there. Maria was able to accommodate us and altered my dress beautifully. COVID delayed our wedding by a year and a half but we were able to have a simple ceremony prior to that. Thanks to Maria, my mom was able to see me my husband and I get married in the dress she helped pick out. Throughout the process, Maria was extremely compassionate.

Mychelle is incredible! She is remarkably experienced, patient, and excellent at what she does. She shows you all of the options you have for wedding dresses alterations and does not rush you to make decisions, but helps you make them by giving detailed pros and cons. The quality of her work is unmatched, and my huge train lasted bustled all night. The dress itself was altered perfectly. She also did my tea ceremony dress and is very experienced with cheong sams. Prices are reasonable, and she even gave my friend and I a discount for getting our wedding dresses altered together. I trust her work and vision and highly recommend her!

I relocated from NY a few months before my wedding and needed to find an alterations expert. Several bridal salons recommended Cheryl Lofton & Associates. I'm so happy I chose them. The entire staff is so friendly too. Ali was my tailor and I'd recommend him again in a heartbeat. My dress needed quite a few alterations which required Ali to remove and re-sew by hand the delicate lace and flowers. Also, I wanted the straps to sit a certain way and Ali told me I could have it that way, but that it would be a mistake - he showed how it would change the look of the back of my dress. He instead recommended a workaround that was genius. Ali also added an internal belt to further improve the fit and add support - such a great idea. In the end, my dress fit perfectly - no gaps or awkward angles. I was so happy and felt beautiful and comfortable in my dress. Ali is a true master of his trade. Thank you, Ali!!

The ladies at white swan were so helpful in my search for a wedding gown. I had already been able to narrow down what I wanted and the way they display the dresses was super helpful in seeing how they might look on me. They let me come back multiple times to try on the dress once it arrived after purchasing so I could try out different hairstyles and just feel more comfortable in the dress. It started to become that I wanted to wear the dress all the time! They have dresses in every style so any bride should be able to find what they are looking for!

TLC Bridal Boutique was by far my favorite shop when it came to shopping for my wedding dress. The bridal consultant was so much fun to work with, and she gave me ideas for dresses that I had not even considered. JJ was a life saver when it came time for my dress alteration. I had purchased my dress a few months before I was diagnosed with coronary artery disease that required a quadruple bypass. Unfortunately, the surgery left a scar that was quite visible with the V-neck of the dress. The seamstress that altered my dressed had asked if we could purchase lace from the dress designer. She had planned to turn the V-neck into a boat neck. I emailed TLC Bridal Boutique and received a response that same day. JJ was on top of contacting the designer and ordering the lace appliqué for us. The dress turned out beautifully!

What a wonderful experience! I wish I knew of them when I was dress shopping. I went to Fairytale with a friend to help her pick her dress. Missy was excellent. After letting us in and greeting us warmly, she asked what the criteria were: approximate sizing, budget, sensory issues, shape preferences, color preferences, and so forth. Then she grabbed a few things from the back (new arrivals) and showed us where to browse. With a selection of 5 or 6 dresses to get us started, she got my friend set up in the changing room and stayed close to help her with awkward zippers, pinning the dress to fit better, and so forth. We also greatly appreciated her creative ideas on how to incorporate our friend's partner's tartan into the accessories, how to work the bustle, other modifications, and so forth to help the dress best fit our friend's needs. She was attentive and helpful without being overbearing and without distracting from the process. So glad that it was our first (and ultimately last stop) because she also helped our friend, who was initially very nervous, feel comfortable. And then, because we had another appointment elsewhere after this one, we told her that one of the dresses was a top contender and was likely to be the one. She said she'd stick it back in the back where she'd find it and gave us her cell number to let her know what we thought after the second appointment. The other appointment wasn't bad but it wasn't nearly the same experience and ultimately the dress at Fairytale couldn't be matched. So we texted her and it turned out she was still there so we ran back and got the dress. My friend is thrilled and excited. Oh, Missy also gave us a list of recommended tailors to contact. If I could give more than 5 stars for this experience, I would.

I highly recommend Nazemi Bridal. I brought my wedding dress here for alterations and not only was Tannaz incredibly sweet, professional, and accommodating but the dress turned out beautiful. I can’t believe how smooth the whole process was. In addition, she helped me find the perfect veil to match the dress. The salons space itself is gorgeous and well-lit, so you always feel your best while you’re there. Don’t hesitate in booking an appointment!

My now husband wanted a custom suit and we came across Dash’s on a stroll through Old Town. He enjoyed the experience. There were a lot of options, but he found what worked for our scheme. The fabric and options were plentiful. My husband loves his suit.

I went to Green and Blue for my wedding dress alterations, and they did a wonderful job. It was definitely an investment, but on par with other alterations places in the area. I went in for a consultation and two fittings, and by the end of it my dress (and all 5 layers of it!) fit like a glove. Thank you very much!
