Incredible quality, iffy on communication, unfortunate smokiness
First off, the suit I got from Dash's is exquisite. It fits me like a glove and elicited all sorts of compliments. Top notch. He even had a matching face mask made to match the suit, at no cost. The shirt is high quality, but I don't think I'd buy another one for that price.
Victor knows his stuff. He's very social and easy to get along with, which is why it is difficult for me to write the next part. COVID has wreaked havoc all around the world, including with his suppliers, so delays are to be understood. Fortunately I placed my order in February and was able to finally pick the suit up in August. The shirt I picked up a week before the wedding, two months after placing the order. Again, the delay wasn't the problem as I understand the issues with supply chains right now.
The real issue I had was with Victor's communicativeness. He originally told us it would be about four weeks for the suit, but after six weeks I had heard nothing. I emailed and called his shop and received no answer. We finally stopped by the store in person to get an update, which is when he told us about the supply chain issues. In the following months I had to reach out to him for updates, rather than him being proactive with news or deadlines. I had to press him on the shirt toward the end as we were two months after purchase (two weeks out from the wedding) and I hadn't heard anything; to his credit, he was able to get it expedited and had it ready for pickup before the wedding.
The other thing you should know is that Victor is a smoker. I'm pretty sensitive to it and though the scent is faint to nonexistent in the shop, I was appalled to open up the garment bag at home to find my suit reeked of smoke. Having pressed for information and updates already, I opted to air it out for a week and the smell dissipated. I placed it back in the garment bag, and was surprised to find it smelling of smoke again when I took it out a week before the wedding. Fortunately I was able to air it out again over the following week, and used a different garment bag to transport the suit to the wedding venue.
All in all, Victor has an excellent understanding and eye for men's fashion and will get you an incredible suit. He will talk your ear off like you're an old buddy, so expect an hour or more in the shop if you're looking to buy. Know that you will need to initiate requests for information, and be prepared to de-smoke your garment. If you're good with doing that, you'll look amazing on your big day.
