Affairs with Elegance lives up to its name and more because my wedding was just that! My wedding was in September and I am still getting calls from guest telling me how beautiful and elegant it was. How different and amazing everything was and how my planner had everything running smoothly from beginning to end. My colors were black and white with red roses. I had 5ft tall vases with red feathered plumes & roses, 4ft white candelabras with hanging crystal and mosiac glass square on the low tables. I let Lakendra know what I wanted and she brought it to fruition. She is a visionary. She and her team are very professional and WONDERFUL to work with. Towards the end when things started getting stressful, she talked me off the ledge a couple of times. She is a planner and more. LaKendra is AMAZING!!! My husband and I got married on Sept 4th and both are physicians with VERY busy schedules and LaKendra was incredibly accomodating! We chose to go with the day-of wedding services (although, now I wish we had just taken out a loan and hired her as a full service planner!) and she does so much more than just on the day of the wedding.
I was hesistant to hire a planner because of cost and didn't know whether it was worth the money. Honestly, that was money VERY well spent. She met with us multiple times before the wedding, and responded to SEVERAL emails and phone calls in a timely manner and really kept my stress level low. She conducted the rehearsal, which went great (despite being so complicated--it was a multi-ethnic, multi-religion ceremony! )
My reason for hiring LaKendra was so neither my family nor I woud feel stressed and panicked the day of the wedding and that was definitely accomplished. Not one of us felt stressed out! She thought of things I would have never thought to check on. She was there hours early to meet all the vendors and make sure everything was in place and stayed until the end until every last present was put in the car (I was on the dance floor and had no idea all the stuff she was doing!).
I HIGHLY recommend her. The best decision I made in wedding planning is hiring LaKendra as our planner. LaKendra is AWESOME!!!

My husband and I had a very good experience with LaKendra. She was excellent at communication - she returns all e-mails/phone calls within minutes of receiving them! We purchased her "partial" planning package, which was essentially six or so meetings throughout the planning process to keep us on track, and then all of the "day of" services. The pre-wedding meetings were nice - following LaKendra's checklist, we were able to pull off a fairly stress-free wedding! There was no panicking or rushing around last minute because we forgot stuff - LaKendra was on top of it to make sure we had everything done. The "day of" services were truly invaluable - so many people commented on how smoothly our day went. LaKendra and her team did an amazing job decorating, it was just beautiful. You will be in good hands if you go with LaKendra.
Lakendra was amazing as a wedding planner throughout the process but more importantly on the day of our wedding. She set both myself and fiance at ease, she took care of everything, she was well organized, prepared, and just did an amaxing job. I was more then happy with herr services and would 100% reccomend her for anyone getting married.

Lakendra helped me plan my wedding for about a year and I would've been lost without her. She assisted me in finding affordable vendors and went above and beyond with decor ideas. Her creativity helped me tremendously as that's not my strong point. She was also very responsive via email or phone usually responding within a few minutes.
On the day of the wedding, Lakendra and her staff made the day run smoothly. If anything went wrong, I didn't know anything about it because the day was perfect in my eyes! Affairs with Elegance was a pleasure to work with. We used them for the Day-of coordination. Their service was invaluable. I chose to go with a Day-of Weddng Planner so our families could sit back and enjoy the day. Not much went wrong, but they were right their calling & checking with the limo sevice and ready with their incredible emergency kit when my bustle broke :) They were astonishingly prompt with their responses to my emails, which helped out when working out the etiquette of the invitations & details. I definately recommend a Day-of Planner if you are working with seperate Ceremony & Reception sites. I would highly recommend Affairs With Elegance for a peace of mind at your wedding.
