About Us

Events in the City is a company that focuses on the design, planning, and execution of weddings and other special events. In addition to our partial and full planning packages we also offer a variety of specialty services. Many of our clients have enhanced their events and experience by further utilizing the EITC team. We enjoy these little touches; such as engagement shoot styling, propping for parties, and uniquely crafted "Greets and Treats" to show their guests that they are appreciated from start to finish.

Megan Pollard and Laura Ritchie the co-founders of EITC work to maintain a team or family type oriented atmosphere. As they say " two heads are better then one", well we believe that three are best!

Christie Yerks our lead designer is an intricate part of EITC. You can be confident that choosing to work with either Laura, Megan, or Christie you will not only have an incredible day to remember but will enjoy the process along the way. I worked with Laura with Events in the City to plan my dream wedding at Lansdowne Resort.. Laura was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is a true professional. She and her staff truly put together my dream wedding. Laura guided me through the whole wedding planning process. She gave advice, had fabulous ideas, and worked extremely hard to meet all our needs. She molded my vision into the absolute perfect wedding. There was no detail left unturned and she executed every single thing to perfection. I had not one worry in the world the day of wedding thanks to Laura and her team. I knew every detail would be executed perfectly and if something needed attention, Laura would be there to straighten it all out. Laura's personality is huge and she was a blast to work with. I cannot say enough good things about Laura and Events in the City. They are by far a top notch event planning company!! We had a dream wedding and I owe it all to Laura. There are no words to express how happy I am with the way my wedding went. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend Events in the City to EVERYONE!!!!
