Shannon and her team made the day perfect. We didn't have to worry about anything. She was well organized and pleasant to deal with.
We had done all the planning but the one thing we couldn't figure out was how to deal with the day of the wedding. Our reception vendor had Memory Lane Engagements as one of their recommended vendors and from the first phone call, we knew we were hiring the right person. She dealt with all our vendors, providing them and us with timelines and made sure that everything went as scheduled.
Shannon and her team made the day very un-stressful, everything flowed like clockwork and I highly recommend her for anyone planning a wedding. We couldn't have done it without her.

Shannon was wonderful to work with and so helpful. She was upfront about all fees and what would add additional fees and what wouldnt. She was very helpful through the whole process and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. Both my husband and I and our parents were able to relax and enjoy everything our day had to offer. She was the best money we spent and totally affordable. I highly recommend using Memory Lane Engagements. She helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect.

What can I say about Shannon? It’s hard for me to write this review because she was absolutely the glue that held our wedding together and I don’t exactly know how to communicate that—words don’t seem to be enough. However, I will do my best because I think she was absolutely the most important vendor I selected in order to pull-off the wedding of my dreams. So, let my try to outline some of my highlights about Shannon:
#1—Shannon’s prices are beyond reasonable for the services that she provides (dare I say she actually may charge too little for as much work as she puts in).
#2—When I first met Shannon, besides being very pregnant, she impressed me as someone who would “get things done.” By this, I mean that she seemed to be the type of person that, when needed, could pull out a little attitude to accomplish her goals. In fact, when I hired Shannon I told her that I chose to hire her because I could tell she had “just a touch of bitch” in her and I knew that she would wield her sword of attitude, if needed. I knew we were a match when she laughed and agreed with me and wasn’t offended by my comment.
#3—In working with Shannon I found that she cares very much for her brides—she actually treats them as friends rather than clients. She only takes on a few weddings per year (as she is primarily a stay-at-home mom) and so she puts in the time to get to know her brides so she can offer more personalized attention than some other planners I have heard of.
#4—Shannon has some excellent connections in the wedding industry and therefore is able to get discounts and other freebies or thro-ins from certain vendors. Case in point, I saved 10% on my entire linen order because Shannon had a relationship with the vendor I chose (and that vendor was the only one in the area who could offer me the linens I wanted and the pre-discounted price was stellar, so the discount only sweetened the pot even more!).
Finally, I think the best way to sum up Shannon’s excellence is to offer a story about my mother. When I first started planning for the wedding, I knew within 3 weeks that I would need someone in my corner to help me. My mom thought I was ridiculous for wanting to hire a wedding planner and told me not to waste my money and that she knew I was anal retentive and organized enough to do it on my own (which, truthfully I am!). However, I knew that I wanted someone to take the pressure off of me and assist me in finding the right vendors for my needs—I’ve never been married before, how do I know what a good price for flowers is? Well, after we had been planning for about 6 months and during our third trip to the bridal store (which was over an hour’s drive for Shannon), my mom pulled me aside and told me how glad she was that I had hired Shannon. Furthermore, as far as day-of coordination is concerned, Shannon was invaluable and I had both of my parents as well as my new in-laws singing her praises in how much easier she made the entire process for everyone.
I know I haven’t said nearly enough, but I must indicate that Shannon was by far the most important person I hired to help me with our wedding. I’m not sure if I could have done it without her.

In all ways, Shannon at Memory Lane Engagements performed above and beyond our expectations.
With smooth and impressive execution, Shannon was able to switch our wedding at the last minute (because of Hurricane Hannah) from an outdoor tented event for 240 people to inside our venue's visitors center, which had a capacity for only about 175 people. Shannon had both the skills to manage multiple vendors throughout this process and the understanding of our vision and desires to make our wedding reception more beautiful than we could have ever imagined it to be when moved indoors.
We originally took on all of the planning for our wedding ourselves, but we realized it was too much work and stress to manage all of the vendors and other small details. We found Memory Lane Engagements online and contacted Shannon for the day-of wedding coordination services. At our first meeting Shannon basically took over all of the stressful aspects of wedding planning and served as the liaison between us and our vendors - it was such a huge relief. Shannon was extremely responsive, professional, flexible and friendly throughout the whole process. In the face of so many setbacks (an exponentially growing guest count, an extremely regulated venue, a hurricane, and the list goes on), Shannon took everything in stride. So many people told us that our ceremony and reception were among their favorites they had attended. We are so happy that we found Memory Lane Engagements - the services and attention we received were worth every penny.
If we had to do it all over again, we would not change anything - and the majority of this sentiment can be attributed to how well Shannon took care of us and our wedding.

Hiring Shannon was the best thing I could have done for myself and my wedding day!!! I had a Russian-Jewish wedding so there was a bit of a language barrier between her and some of my vendors. However, Shannon handled it like a champ. She was extremely flexible with everyone and took charge in making quick decisions to any last minute changes that needed to be made. She was always there when I needed her, especially during the technical difficulties that I was having with my dress. No matter what was going on she was on top of it. Before the ceremony started, Shannon came with a suitcase of items needed should anything come up. This greatly put me at ease during such a hectic occasion. I would recommend Shannon to any and everyone. She truly is the best vendor you can hire for your wedding. Thanks for everything Shannon!!!!!

Shannon was amazing she handled EVERYTHING she kept all of the vendors up to date as well as the wedding party. I was so impressed with how wonderfully she kept everything under control and if there were any issues with anything on my wedding day i had no idea she kept us on track with our time line but also let us enjoy the night. I have had so many compliments about how perfect and organized she was! i would recommend her to any one she really kept me and my husband relaxed and happy the whole day! If only i couold take her to work and home with me!!!

Shannon provided "Day of Event" services for us and we could not have been more pleased! All families have "issues" and Shannon handled a difficult situation between divorced spouses and remarried partners will professionalism and ease. She made what could have been a very stressful day for my daughter so easy and stress-free! She was VERY organized, made our day run smoothly, and coordinated delivery by all vendors. She was just GREAT! and I would recommend her highly to anyone needing full service or limited planning and event coordination.

I really loved planning my wedding. I loved picking the vendors and the flowers and the dress. But, I also really love that I had Shannon on my side at the end of the process. I didn't know what to expect from a day-of planner, but I found that Shannon was worth every penny. The ease of mind alone is worth it all. I was very busy with work right up until the wedding day, and Shannon was there to contact all of the vendors and to make sure that they were doing their jobs. But, the real value of Shannon's service is on the actual day of the wedding. All I did was have a good time. Every detail was handled by Shannon and her loving assistant Andy. I was sheltered from every hiccup and was really free to have the time of my life. And, oh my gosh did they work hard. Please, don't leave this job up to a loved one. You want them to have a good time, too.

Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to Shannon for all of her assistance as our wedding coordinator.
Everything covered in all of the other reviews here are 100% correct and reflect our experience with Shannon. Rather than repeating all of the same things, I will add this: The facilities manager at the golf course where we had our ceremony/reception had very impressive comments on Shannon after our wedding. He said that he normally gets very nervous when brides say they have hired an outside wedding coordinator, because they have had some pretty bad experiences in the past. However, he said that Shannon is the absolute best coordinator that he has ever worked with in his 20+ years of experience. He referred to her as a "Real Class Act" and said that he will refer her to other brides that use their facility. As long as he can work with Shannon, he said does not mind coordinators at all.
Honestly, Shannon is an experienced professional who is VERY good at her job. She kept our entire wedding day running smoothly and I did not worry about a thing all day (and this is a big deal coming from someone who has to plan every little detail). I would highly recommend Shannon as a wedding coordinator. She provided invaluable advice and was very responsive to all of my last minute "panicked" wedding questions. Without Shannon, our wedding would not have run as smoothly as it did. I didn't have to worry about anything at the reception other than having a good time. If I needed to do something (first dance, cut the cake, etc), Shannon would stop by (unobtrusively) and ask if we were ready for the next event on the timeline. If we weren't, she adjusted the rest of the timeline. Our guests were also thrilled with her responsiveness to their requests.

I interviewed many wedding planners and I chose Shannon because she was a genuine and down-to-earth person. She helped me create the wedding I had envisioned. She gave me the latitude to be creative and took care of all the details I either couldn't do or didn't want to do. We were planning the wedding from another state, so Shannon was the best pair of eyes, ears, and legs I could have hoped for. On the wedding day, she was prepared, and highly capable. All we had to do was have fun and watch everything come together. We got so many compliments on her work and the vendors that she brought to us.

My husband and I did most of the planning, but needed a coordinator for the day's leading up to our big event, as well as the day of. We realized we couldn't make it all happen without an expert. Shannon put us at ease, and took care of everything, We felt no stress the day of our wedding, and were able to enjoy our special day. She is proffessional and great to work with; More importantly, she took care of things before I had to even ask. I would highly recommend her for your event.
