Amarante's will forever have a place in my heart. From the moment I saw the place in a dream to seeing it in person, it was everything my partner and I wanted in a venue. When I initially reached out, I remember the date I wanted to get married was booked but somehow a miracle worked in my favor. I was calling Dominic at every instant and he politely answered all my questions. I also attended the tasting and bridal show which was amazing. This journey to my big day was truly an experience for my partner and I. Jose, the banquet manager was very helpful. The team was very accomodating, even with my last minute changes. On the day of my wedding, we had showers, and it still turned out to be one of the most beautiful ceremonies. The team was working all hands on deck to make sure my guests felt the warmth while the bridal party was comfortable. Darlene was the best host!! The food, ambience, waterfront, and sunset was ALL worth it!! Whatever was not eaten was packed up for me; a very kind and rare gesture for a wedding venue. Amarante's will definately be part of my family tradition- I'll need a reason to host an event there at every opportunity. I realized it was not so much about the money they were receiving but curating an atmosphere to make each couple's day unique. It's been three months and I am still relieving every moment of my time spent at Amarante's Sea Cliff.

Aqua Turf listened to every single thing we wanted, even if it was an accommodation. Please, please, PLEASE work with Ryan if you can. He was absolutely amazing. I literally had my perfect day because of how awesome he is!

I had the pleasure of hosting my wedding here in May of 2024. I was initially very hesitant to book this venue as I wanted a true "wedding venue", not a venue that is able to host weddings. However, my husband was totally in love with the setting and I'm so glad we booked our event here! From the start Bethany and her team were great to work with. Their hours seem to be a bit sporadic so if we had a question for their team, we found it was best to email. Responses were not immediate, it did often take a few days to hear back which was fine, it just meant we had to plan ahead with our questions! While Branford House isn't a "wedding venue" specifically, they are able to offer many of the items needed to host a wedding, including tables and chairs, which made planning so much easier. Additionally, they do not require the use of a specific caterer though they do provide a list of vendors that have worked the venue before. Given that the venue was built as a home and subsequently has a more challenging floor plan to accommodate, I was grateful that we elected to work with a catering company that's familiar with how Branford House operates. However, they do require that if you are serving alcohol that you contract with UConn Catering for bar services. My husband and I held both our ceremony and reception at Branford House with the ceremony outside and the reception inside. Because the venue is on the water I did need to account for humidity and wind when planning my hair/makeup as well as ceremony decor. Additionally, because Branford House is considered state property, renting the property does not include the sidewalks behind the mansion along the Sound-- meaning that depending on how things are staged, you could have strangers in the background of the photos. My husband and I did not have this experience but it was something that we took into account when booking the venue. Overall though, this was the perfect setting and perfect venue for our day.

From the day I first went to visit Cascade I knew this is where I would be getting married. The venue offers stunning indoor and outdoor options, and the chandeliers in the ballroom are simply breathtaking. Silvana was outstanding since day one, guiding us through every step of the planning process. She was always available to answer our questions, which was incredibly helpful since we were planning from out of state. The food was delicious, and the entire staff was exceptional. A beautiful venue, fantastic team and delicious food. Everything was absolutely perfect!

I would give Gather360 a 6/5 stars if I could! They went so far above and beyond to make my bridal shower the absolute best day I could have asked for. From the moment we booked, the entire process was seamless — the team was incredibly accommodating, organized, and genuinely cared about bringing my vision to life. If you love open-air venues, cozy boho ambiance, pristine landscaping, lawn games like corn hole, and a space that feels both elevated and welcoming, Gather360 is the perfect place for your event. The venue is so versatile — perfect for micro weddings, bridal showers, yoga retreats, and so much more. And the food… absolutely incredible. The menu was beyond tantalizing and thoughtfully curated. They even had lemon ricotta poppyseed pancakes that perfectly matched my “He’s My Main Squeeze” lemon-themed shower — such a fun and delicious touch that everyone was raving about! I received endless compliments all day long about how beautiful, unique, and well-executed the entire event was. Every detail felt intentional and special. I truly cannot recommend Gather360 enough for anyone looking to host an unforgettable event. Thank you for making my special day so perfect!

From start to finish, our experience with the Farmington Polo Club was an absolute delight. Working with Rhonda made the planning process a breeze. There was SO much I didn’t know about weddings and luckily Rhonda and the rest of my vendors came to our rescue to answer questions, quickly and efficiently. Now for the day of.. OMG I don’t know where to start! The staff, the bartenders, the FOOD and the venue itself in all its newly renovated glory… absolutely amazing. Everyone who came to my wedding could NOT and has not stopped raving about the quality of the food and the service. I really could go on all day. I’m not someone who finds it easy to be pampered therefore I was trying to take care of myself all day, but the staff wouldn’t let me! Lol All of them made sure we were hydrated (which we NEEDED as it was almost 90 outside) and fed all night long. I joked with Zaimara, who was basically my attendent the whole wedding, that she was like my guardian angel all night. The staff was unmatched. What a perfect day. All this to say, if you’re thinking about the Polo Club— Book it. You will not be sorry.

The reception space was beautiful! Loved the big windows that overlooked the golf course. Allison was our event coordinator. She was great with answering all my questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding day. When we dropped off all the wedding decor she was very organized and made sure to ask where we wanted everything displayed. On the day of the wedding she was so organized, maintained our timeline to the best of her ability, and all the decor was set up exactly how I wanted. The servers on the day of the wedding were very speedy in bringing out the meals (we had 200 people). Food was good too! My wedding day was absolutely perfect!! If something didn’t go as planned I had no idea, they handled it amongst themselves and did not let me know so I could enjoy my wedding day. Something to keep in mind is that you don’t get a tasting - it’s not even an option to pay for it. However, this wasn’t something that steered us away from this venue. Another plus, this venue was much cheaper than other venues we looked at!

The staff at the Barns were tremendously helpful. Although we met with various different people throughout the planning process, everyone was always up-to-date on the most recent developments. The stress of planning was significantly reduced due to the organization and attention to detail of the staff. Our day-of coordinator, Eddie, was fantastic. He was absolutely on the ball - had an answer for every question, took care of logistics smoothly, and took all the stress out of the wedding day. My wife and I were able to be truly present and not worry about any minor details day-of, which was a true gift. Would highly recommend the Barns to anyone!

We couldn't be happier with our experience having our wedding at New Haven Lawn Club. This venue is a hidden gem; the most gorgeous architecture and AMAZING food and attentive staff. Karen was incredible and so supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was patient, kind, and kept us organized. There wasn't a single thing that we asked for that NHLC wasn't able to accommodate; even confetti at the end of our reception! They also allow for real candlelight, which creates an amazing ambiance. Seriously, this place is incredible. Highly recommend!

Overall, I would say this was exactly the experience advertised for at the Mill. The food is absolute incredible, my guests still rave about the quality of the food and the bread especially (although I didn't get to have a piece, because they ran out since my guests loved them so much!). With regard to the actual lead up to the day, I was working with Sierra who was organized and easy to work with leading up to the day. She was very flexible about helping me re-use my decorations/florals from the ceremony to my reception, and I really appreciated her doing so as I was initially told by the wedding coordinators that they would very limitedly assist us with things like this. I felt like they undersold how much they'd help with, and then overdelivered on the day of on how much they ended up helping with (so a positive, but it did weird me out in the beginning). My only true complaints were that they accidentally did not have enough seats at one of the tables for my guests, even though they had a seating chart in advance. I was really upset about this because it took so long for them to provide them a seat at their table, I would say about 45 minutes or so. It felt really embarrassing, although my friends were ok with it. When I expressed my frustration with the lead server, she told me that "I needed to make sure my guests were taken care of", which was a very offputting comment that upset me... because the seating chart was something done in advance to make sure my guests were cared for. I understand people make mistakes but a more appropriate response would have been to just apologize and handle the situation quickly. This was kind of the beginning of the head server's rudeness toward myself and my husband, and the rest of our guests during the evening. A few people complained to me after the wedding about her specifically, which was shocking to me because I thought it was just toward us. We also had our wedding in the River Room, which is advertised to fit up to 80 people and we had 65 people. It was very tight at 65, with space for dancing in the middle. I can't imagine if we had 80 people in there. I think it would sit more comfortably at 50-60 for an intimate wedding celebration. I do recommend the River Room if you are looking for a smaller wedding celebration in a charming space. Again, food is incredible and the grounds were as well. I would recommend.
