We had an absolute dream wedding at the Society Room in Hartford. The planning process was super easy, and we loved that package was essentially all inclusive. All our guests commented about how good the food and drinks were, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We had a wedding in late August 2025. Everything went flawless and so smoothly! The staff handled our entire event professionally and all of our guests could not be happier! The ambiance of the ballroom was classy and timeless. Food and drink were spectacular and we couldn’t ask for more!Highly recommended!!!!

We got married at The Society Room in August 2025 and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Linda helped us plan the wedding; she was incredibly helpful every step of the way, extremely responsive to all our questions and requests, and broke the stressful planning process into doable pieces at reasonable intervals. She also facilitated a 100% gluten-free, Celiac-safe wedding for us. The team took my Celiac very seriously, never made me feel high-maintenance or difficult, and gave us so much confidence in their team. They curated a 100% gluten free menu that was creative, fun, and absolutely delicious. We got literally dozens of compliments on the food from our guests. They far exceeded every venue we toured in terms of the food, especially gluten-free food. We also loved that so much is included in their package - food, drink, tables, linens, staff, lighting, etc. It not only made the wedding much more cost-effective, it was so nice to not have to coordinate with a million vendors. We highly recommend getting married at The Society Room!

It truly felt like we were the only wedding they were hosting that summer, with their unparalleled attention to detail and genuine care.

The original mahogany detailing, hand-painted ceilings, marble pillars, and even the historic bank vault transported our guests to another era—exactly the vibe we wanted for our 1920s-inspired, nontraditional celebration. As our second wedding, we aimed for a relaxed, luxurious supper club atmosphere, and The Society Room delivered beyond our wildest dreams. We brought in vintage furniture—couches, coffee tables, lounge chairs—and created multiple vignettes across the floor, with formal tables at the back but no assigned seating. The result was like stepping into a grand 1920s mansion, and the venue’s timeless architecture elevated every moment.
The food was nothing short of extraordinary. Our guests are still raving, calling it some of the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. We opted for specialty chef-manned stations, allowing everyone to graze at their leisure and sample a smorgasbord of culinary delights. They also went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests, including assigning dedicated staff to assist our elderly parents, which meant the world to us.

I had my wedding here last week. Holy crap, they knocked it out of the park. Several people said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. They said the food was so good they’d come back if it were a restaurant. The cake was also outstanding and so delicious (shout out to Paula!). More than all of that, Jonna the bridal attendant took care of me and my husband so well that we hardly had to worry about anything. We got to eat everything because she set it aside for us and we set aside time for a calm moment. She made sure we got to take the cake home. She was an excellent communicator, made sure everyone was where they needed to be and she was somehow always there when we needed her. It was like she was everywhere all at once! I thought I was going to need to corral people to help me take stuff home that night. Nope! She knew who my immediate family was and had them grab a few things. She made it all low stress. Linda was amazing in the planning process. She was communicative and diligent on following up on our loose ends. I always felt like she was there if I needed her. Chris was our salesperson and did a wonderful job. He went above and beyond and met us right before (or after) closing because it was the only time that worked for us. He made us so excited to book the place and the team truly delivered!! I wish I could get married AGAIN and I’d do it here! ❤️

We got married there this past Friday 10/11/2024 everything was amazing! Linda was amazing throughout our whole wedding planning process, our wedding coordinators made sure everything ran smoothly the day of, and our wedding attendant day of was amazing! We had so many guests tell us it was the best meals they’ve ever had at a wedding. Our cake by Donna was beautiful and delicious! We are truly so thankful for all of the staff at the society room you guys made our wedding day more magical than I ever could have imagined.
