Marriott Hartford Downtown

The Hartford Marriott is a hidden gem! Beautiful spot to have a wedding, the staff are wonderful and the hotel is clean and updated and has so much to offer for guests. Lauren was great to work with and so helpful and responsive. My husband and I could not have picked a better spot to have our wedding ceremony and reception. We seriously cannot say enough good things about our overall experience planning and having our wedding here.

We want to share the fantastic experience we had in planning and having our daughter’s wedding recently at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. From our first meeting through all the planning, the details of the ceremony and reception, Lauren Pastoreck, the wedding planner at the Marriott, was extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. She was also helpful in coordinating with our vendors and with so many helpful tips. The Marriott itself is beautiful with lovely views of downtown Hartford and all our guests seemed to be very comfortable and happy there. The staff was quite helpful and kind, as well. We highly recommend!!

What a weekend! Lauren & the Marriott Team put on an amazing wedding for us. We got many compliments about the food and portion sizes. Lauren had many ideas and let us get creative about the menus and coordinated with the vendors I hired. We held an after party in the Vivo restaurant that was a huge hit and was convenient for all of our events to be in one place. Lauren took care of me and my family throughout the busy reception and kept us on schedule. I felt confident that Lauren had all of the pieces of our wedding handled on the day! Lauren and the Marriott team put together the perfect celebration for us.

As the father of the bride, my wife and I helped our daughter plan her wedding at the Marriott Hartford Downtown in less than 6 months. We worked with Lauren at the Marriott to plan all the details while letting my daughter and her fiancé make the decisions. Lauren provided very professional support for the whole process. She helped us with all aspects of the event by 1) arranging accommodation of celiac/gluten, dairy, shellfish and nut allergies among the bridal party and guests, 2) helping with vendor selection & coordination, 3) providing suite and hotel room capacity for the bridal party and out-of-town guests, 4) putting together a rehearsal dinner for the bridal party at the Marriott’s restaurant,5) scheduling all activities and clearly communicating all aspects of the event to us 6) coordinating events for both days and 7) going the extra mile and staying for a late sparkler sendoff for the newlyweds to direct it and make sure it went smoothly.

The rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception events were both quite impressive. Everything including the facility itself, the staff at the hotel, hors d'oeuvres, bar services and wedding dinner were excellent. The kitchen staff deserves a special thanks for their attention to detail in accommodating the allergy restrictions. We added an ice cream bar after the cake cutting and were glad to see how popular it was. As an aside, the convenience of the hotel and venue at the same location was definitely a bonus.

We couldn’t have asked for a better planning experience with Lauren. She was always available and responded quickly and clearly to any questions or concerns. Most importantly, we were happy to see the weekend events go so well for our daughter’s wedding. We discussed the event the day after the wedding and could not think of anything we would have changed. We would highly recommend this experience.

We hosted three events for our 400+ person Indian wedding at the Marriott Hartford Downtown. Our decorator was able to execute our vision and completely transform the banquet hall for each event with limited restrictions. We had almost 200 guests staying at the venue and they were very satisfied with the ease of booking rooms at our room rate and the hotel accommodations. The main reason why we would recommend Marriott Hartford Downtown is because of Kristin. She made planning this wedding very easy because she was ALWAYS available. She was available by phone and she would respond to emails within 24 hours. Our vendors also commented on how easy it was to work with Kristin and her team. Kristin is so sweet and genuinely wants to help execute any vision.

The staff went above and beyond our expectations. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating with all of our crazy demands. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Kristin and her team did a fantastic job executing our Indian wedding and reception! Kristin was responsive, willing to go through every detail with me in excruciating detail (I was a very particular bride), and such a pleasure to work with! They were also flexible with providing us accommodations that we needed to help our wedding day go perfectly (e.g., holding rooms for the wedding party). We were very happy that we selected the Hartford Marriott Downtown as our wedding and reception venue.

Kristin was amazing dealing with everything from helping put our centerpieces together to getting my sister quietly seated when she tried to walk into the ceremony after the procession had started. Having everything taken care of for us in one place was such a plus given that my now husband was moving from Ireland and we had to deal with planning a wedding in the midst of the move. After looking at multiple venues, we were sold on the Marriott's flexibility while still being beautiful.

Jessa was really great and professional! She did all she could to make us happy and even went above and beyond. And even though she couldn't attend our event (her best friend was getting married) she put us in very good hands. The entire Marriott Staff was friendly, professional and catered to everything we asked for. I wouldn't have changed a thing.
