We used Mystic Marriott for our room block for our September 2021 wedding. Diana, Jennifer, and the entire team there was excellent throughout the planning process. We had started off with a smaller block size, but it quickly filled up. Diana and Jennifer were very responsive and were able to extend our block to add more rooms - twice, when we realized we would need even more rooms. They were also very helpful throughout the planning process and graciously answered my MANY questions. They also helped my parents plan a wonderful day-after brunch. The staff was very helpful throughout our wedding weekend - they put up signs to direct our guests where to go and handed out the welcome bags to everyone. The rooms were beautiful - the guys actually got ready in one of the hotel suites. It made for a great "getting ready" space and looked good in the pictures too! I would definitely recommend the Mystic Marriott. We and our guests enjoyed their stay, and the staff was wonderful to work with.

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina truly became the wedding venue of our dreams. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how special and full of charm this place is. The views are stunning, the team is attentive, and every single detail felt effortless from start to finish. Abby and Meredith were incredible — they worked flawlessly with our planner, Nicole from Pretty Peony Planning, and together they made everything look seamless. We booked the guest houses for our wedding parties to get ready, and it was one of the best choices we made. The private, cozy, and beautiful spaces made the morning feel joyful, calm, and personal. It felt like home — but with more space and more luxury. It felt like we were getting ready in a real life dollhouse! Being just steps away from the venue while still having our own space was the perfect way to start the day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the setting and how flawlessly everything ran. The service was amazing (no one had to wait long for a drink!) and every detail was handled with care. If you’re looking for a picturesque location, exceptional service, delicious food and a team who truly knows how to create a magical wedding experience, Saybrook Point is it. The entire process of choosing, and working with Water’s Edge was wonderful. Melody was our wedding manager and she was extremely helpful. She stayed on top of everything, from answering all of our questions, to payment reminders, forms we needed to complete, and helped coordinate our wants/needs with other vendors. She did it all! On our big day she took all of our worries away and was able to improvise to solve an issue that popped up just as we were about to walk into our reception. If it rains, Water’s Edge has a great backup plan that they can setup quickly. Thankfully we had a semi sunny day in October so it worked out great to get married down on the lawn! It was great that we were offered a room block for our guests so those traveling did not have to find outside accommodations. Although it was an extra fee, they do offer a bridal suite to get ready in on the property which was a nice relief of one less thing we had to coordinate. Overall, it was a great experience. Our guests all told us how wonderful and beautiful Water’s Edge is!

We got married during Hurricane Elsa. Because we were rained out we moved the ceremony inside which is just as stunning. The sky cleared and we were still able to get the most beautiful pictures outside by the fountain and gardens. The staff and food were amazing. Gary Baker, Director of Sales, treated us like family and listened to our vision leading up to the big day. Malana Dougherty Jarzabek executed it the day of and was Heaven sent. Incredible all inclusive venue.

We got married at the Haley Mansion on September 12th, and it was truly everything I’ve ever dreamed of. From the very first time my husband and I toured the venue, I just knew it was the place we were meant to get married. The property is absolutely stunning — so peaceful, elegant, and beautifully maintained. The mansion itself is breathtaking, and the view over the water made it feel like something out of a fairytale. We had the absolute best experience working with Joe, Zac, and Sue. They made our day beyond perfect! I mainly worked with Joe throughout the planning process, and he was amazing. He was always so easy to reach, quick to respond, and answered every single one of my questions (and there were a lot!). Joe went over every detail with us to make sure everything was perfect — and it truly was. He made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable, and I always felt heard and cared for. He also made sure everything on the day of the wedding was perfect. From the decorations, to checking on me to see how I was doing, to fluffing my dress before walking down the aisle, he didn’t miss a thing and it didn’t go unnoticed. I truly can’t thank him enough for the care and attention he put into our special day.  Zac was incredible too! He planned our rehearsal dinner, which turned out beautifully, and on the wedding day, he was there from beginning to end making sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to Zac and Joe, every detail was flawless — not a single thing out of place. We even had an ice cream bar (which was a huge hit!), and Zac was the one serving ice cream to guests with the biggest smile. He went above and beyond, and we are so grateful for him. Sue, our officiant, made our ceremony so special and personal. She took the time to get to know us and really understood what we wanted. She added such a meaningful touch to our ceremony and made it feel like “us.” We also had the sweetest server, Kendra, who took such great care of us all night. She made sure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed. And oh my gosh — the food!! I can’t even begin to describe how good it was. We got so many compliments from our guests. Everything from the cocktail hour to the entrées was incredible. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the baked stuffed sole — both were to die for! Honestly, it was the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We also decided to have an after-party at Rock21, and it was the best decision! The food was delicious, the DJ kept everyone dancing, and our guests had an absolute blast. It was the perfect ending to the best day of our lives. From the very first meeting to the last dance, everything was perfect. The entire team at Haley Mansion put so much love, care, and attention into our day, and it truly showed. I can’t thank them enough for making our wedding day everything we’ve ever dreamed of and more.

Our experience at The Simsbury Inn was nothing short of exceptional. We chose this venue because of their extensive knowledge and experience with food allergies, and they exceeded every expectation by creating a completely Celiac-friendly, gluten-free wedding from start to finish. It was incredibly important to us, and they executed it so seamlessly that most of our guests had no idea the entire menu was gluten free. The chef was phenomenal, delivering food that guests are still raving about—many said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We were even able to have a beautiful three-tier cake that was both gluten- and nut-free, which was so meaningful to us. Knowing the team had prior experience with Celiac weddings gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to truly enjoy the day without worry. From a planning perspective, Philip made everything effortless. He was consistently responsive, answered every question thoroughly, and ensured the entire day ran smoothly. He even checked in on us while we were getting ready in the Talcott Room, which we loved—especially since it adjoins the bridal suite and made getting ready so convenient. The venue itself was spotless, elegant, and thoughtfully organized. We appreciated that pricing was transparent from the start, with no unexpected costs added along the way. We held our ceremony indoors, and the staff did an amazing job transitioning the space for the reception while setting up all of our décor perfectly. Cocktail hour in the Evergreen Room was spacious and comfortable, giving guests plenty of room to relax and socialize. We also loved that we were the only wedding on site that day, which made the experience feel private and special. There were so many beautiful photo locations, and the convenience of having guests stay on-site in our room block meant no transportation logistics to worry about. The option for an after party was another great touch for those who wanted to keep celebrating. Laurie, our banquet captain, was outstanding—constantly checking in and making sure everything was perfect. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day special. They even handled all cleanup and allowed us to pick up our items the next morning, which made everything so easy. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The Simsbury Inn made our wedding day seamless, stress-free, and unforgettable.

We want to share the fantastic experience we had in planning and having our daughter’s wedding recently at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. From our first meeting through all the planning, the details of the ceremony and reception, Lauren Pastoreck, the wedding planner at the Marriott, was extremely helpful, professional, knowledgeable and fun to work with. She was also helpful in coordinating with our vendors and with so many helpful tips. The Marriott itself is beautiful with lovely views of downtown Hartford and all our guests seemed to be very comfortable and happy there. The staff was quite helpful and kind, as well. We highly recommend!!

We had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and other staff members at the Heritage Hotel for our wedding. Jennifer was always available to answer any questions I had along the way and gave us a tour of the venue multiple times. We had our rehearsal dinner there and they set up the room beautifully. The food for both the rehearsal and wedding were delicious and there was something for everyone to enjoy. They even offer centerpieces for the tables and to set up and break down decor and assign you a maitre de for the day of that is always getting you drinks and making sure you're comfortable. The venue is so beautiful and made for the best pictures! It's also super convenient that the ceremony, reception, after party, and hotel are all in the same location so there's no need to worry about traveling. The only down fall was that we lost power the night before the wedding for a couple hours and was surprised they didn't have a generator. But would definitely recommend having your wedding at the Heritage as it's a beautiful place with professional staff who are guaranteed to make you feel so important on your special day.

Our wedding at Madison Beach Hotel on October 18, 2024, was nothing short of magical. Initially, we planned to marry in Walt Disney World, but after some nudging from family, we visited MBH and fell in love within minutes. From the breathtaking beachfront setting to the impeccable customer service, we knew this was where our journey as a married couple had to begin. We signed our contract exactly a year prior, on October 18, 2023, and every step of the process from that moment on was seamless, thanks to the extraordinary team at MBH. Amanda, the wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to make planning stress-free. She answered every question (even obscure ones like the density of flower petals!) promptly and thoughtfully, always accompanied by helpful visuals. Her patience and expertise were unparalleled, and she made every detail feel special and cared for. The food and wine tasting in December of 2023 set the tone for what was to come. Every dish was exquisite, making it nearly impossible to narrow down our selections. The hotel partners with incredible vendors, including J Cakes in Branford, who created our cannoli wedding cake, a cake so delicious that we broke tradition and devoured the top tier within two days. On the day of the wedding, the MBH team outdid themselves. Heather, our day-of coordinator, ensured every detail was executed flawlessly. From arranging our floral centerpieces to working with our DJ, photographers, and videographers, Heather handled everything with ease and grace. The staff guided us through the ceremony and reception with warmth and precision, allowing us to relax and soak in every moment of our special day. Of course, the venue itself is stunning. The ballroom, with its views of the water, was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The weather that day was ideal, so much so that if we had one "complaint," it was that it was almost too sunny! As two gay men, we’ve occasionally faced uncertainty about how our relationship might be received. At Madison Beach Hotel, we never once felt anything but celebrated. The staff made us feel welcome, valued, and loved, which speaks volumes about the inclusive and professional culture at MBH. Yes, this venue may not be the least expensive option, but it is worth every single penny. From the moment we met Amanda to the final day of picking up our beautifully packed decor, MBH exceeded all expectations. If you’re considering Madison Beach Hotel for your wedding, do yourself the favor of stopping by for a meeting with Amanda or even just enjoying a drink at The Wharf. We held our rehearsal dinner, welcome party and wedding brunch at the Interlaken. It is a beautiful setting that can hold a large amount of guests. The team was great to work with, and they have various packages to choose from to fit your requirements. Our guests loved the location and all the activities on property. Having everyone in one place made it super convenient for our guests. We'd recommend working with the Interlaken team!
