Our event in the Heritage Ballroom was well beyond our expectation and the service was impeccable. The rooms were well-appointed. Toi, our sales professional really made our life so easy. I highly recommend Hotel Heron!

From the moment we started planning our wedding, the Harbour View team made us feel supported every step of the way. We originally booked their sister venue in Stafford (which is also very beautiful), but when our guest list grew, they made the transition to Harbour View completely seamless. The team was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and made the entire planning process so much less stressful. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with elegant spaces and stunning waterfront views that created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting it! We're so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding day everything we hoped for. If you're looking for a beautiful venue with exceptional service and a team that truly cares, we highly recommend Harbour View.

Canaan Springs was truly the perfect place to get married. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, the mountains create the most stunning backdrop, and every corner feels like something out of a postcard. Beyond the beauty, what really made the experience unforgettable was the people. Everyone there made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine care made our day even more special. I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful or welcoming place to say “I do.” Highly recommend!

We cannot thank the entire team at Rumsey Tavern enough for making our wedding day so incredibly special! From the very beginning, Tonya and Chef Josh, who share and run the business, were both incredibly kind, thoughtful, helpful, and genuinely invested in making sure our day was everything we hoped it would be. One thing we appreciated so much was how transparent Tonya and Josh were throughout the planning process. They were upfront about every fee on our invoice, worked with us to stay within our budget, and were always willing to help us find the best options without sacrificing what we wanted for our day. Chef Josh also went above and beyond when it came to our menu. For our wedding, we needed both gluten-free and dairy-free options, and he was incredibly accommodating in customizing the menu and creating food that worked with our allergy needs. Every food item was clearly labeled to indicate whether it was gluten-free or contained another potential allergen, which gave us and our guests so much peace of mind. And, of course, the food was absolutely delicious! We also want to mention how beautifully clean and well-maintained the venue was. Everything was spotless, organized, and ready for our guests, which made us feel confident and comfortable from the moment we arrived. When rain threatened our plans for an outdoor ceremony, the Rumsey Tavern team went above and beyond by accommodating a last-minute setup to create a space for our ceremony indoors. They handled the change so seamlessly and made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy. Our wedding attendant and bartender, Grant, deserves a special shout-out as well. He was absolutely wonderful! He was so kind and attentive to everyone throughout the wedding, from our guests to the kids in our wedding group. He made everyone feel welcome and taken care of, and his friendly personality added so much to our day. What really touched us were all of the little things that showed just how much the entire team cared. They made all of the kids in our wedding group feel extra special by giving them new toys to play with, and they even surprised the bride and groom with a gift. On the wedding day itself, the team was right there making sure everything was set up exactly as we had discussed and checking in to see if anything needed to be changed or adjusted. Those thoughtful touches made such a difference. We truly felt cared for throughout the entire process, and it allowed us to focus on enjoying our wedding day instead of worrying about the details. We are beyond grateful to Tonya, Chef Josh, Grant, and the entire Rumsey Tavern team for going above and beyond to make our wedding the special day it was. Their kindness, flexibility, thoughtfulness, cleanliness, and genuine care for us and our guests meant more than we can say. We would wholeheartedly recommend Rumsey Tavern to anyone looking for a venue and team that will truly take care of you and make your special day feel just as special to them!

The perfect location, views and buildings for our rustic winery outdoor service and indoor reception. Ann and Natalie ran a very tight ship from start to finish, even calling down the most beautiful weather – sunny and 71, with a breeze designed for showbiz. The new bridal suite was incredible, bright, comfortable, large enough for everyone and anyone, and we appreciated the private restrooms. The day was perfect, the location made the photographs more breathtaking than we could have imagined, and our relatively small guest list have all raved about the venue and the wedding. Everything was choreographed to perfection, every expectation and last minute request met. We had to make a last-minute decision to do the final walkthrough with the vendors and Ann and Natalie virtually, signing on from Minneapolis, and they were so accommodating and helpful with describing everything to me over the phone and FaceTime. Their suggestions were the perfect decisions. They have a great relationship with all the vendors we used, and I cannot think of one thing that we would have done differently. What a perfect day.

My sister and I just threw a bridal shower for our youngest sister at Two Lions and it was absolutely amazing! First, there’s the obvious-the winery is absolutely beautiful. From the grounds and vineyard, to the building its self, everything is gorgeous. What really made our experience so lovely however, was the staff and their customer service. Callie and the whole team at Two Lions made us feel super comfortable and were all so kind and warm from start to finish. From our initial meeting, to the tasting, to the shower itself, we had a wonderful experience and it felt like we were all friends by the end. The food was great, the wine was great, they allowed us to bring in decor, were super flexible with us, and just very easy and pleasant to work with. 5 stars, 10/10, would HIGHLY recommend. I look forward to visiting again!

We had our wedding at the Zigbone Farm Retreat and it could not have been more perfect. The grounds were stunning. It is so clear that the woman running it care deeply about their property and take pride in making it nice and unique. There were enough rooms for our entire family. The event space was even better than I could have imagined for our wedding and just beautiful in every way. The owners were lovely to work with and extremely kind and accommodating. Would HIGHLY recommend for any event or even just a getaway with a large group of family/friends. Our family and guests adored it. We will certainly be back!

Isadora and Grace are truly the dream team. The venue is gorgeous, intimate, and has everything you could need. It's only an hour drive from the DC suburbs which was exactly what we were looking for. We went with their weekend package, so we held our rehearsal dinner here on Friday before our wedding as well and it worked out so perfectly. You get so much for your money when you pick Rixey. The entire Rixey team has your back throughout the entire process, with Isadora fearlessly leading. She's the real gem of this place. The wedding day itself was so wonderful and so much is due to the Rixey team. The day was beautiful, the manor was perfect, and we had a great party. Do yourselves a favor and pick Rixey for your wedding, you won't regret it.

A wonderful space to host any event! I had my hen party here the day before my wedding and to this day it remains a very fond memory from the big weekend! From the prime location, to the elegance and charm of the space itself, to the level of professionalism and care throughout the staff; you can't go wrong with choosing Patterson Mansion. I will acknowledge the cost and say that, yes, it is on the pricier side however I will also say that the outcome of the cost and what is provided in return is not only proportionate, but exceeds expectations! I had the pleasure of getting to work with Jim (the event coordinator) from beginning to end of the planning stages as well, as on the day of the event, and he made the entire experience a great one - welcoming of all ideas, great communication, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that we were able to find a good balance between cost-effectiveness and the level of elegance that we were hoping to execute! I am confident that the event was such a successful one, and perfectly matched all that I had envisioned, because of the fact that we decided to host it at Patterson Mansion. Thank you once again, Patterson Mansion and team!

Woodend was the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding reception. The combination of elegance and natural beauty created exactly the atmosphere the bride and groom envisioned. It’s remarkable that such a peaceful, secluded setting exists inside the Beltway — with no traffic noise and stunning scenery everywhere you look. The grounds photographed beautifully, and guests continually commented on how unique and special the venue felt. We especially appreciated how the layout allowed guests to enjoy both the lively celebration and quieter moments throughout the evening. The planning process was smooth and well organized. Beatriz, the rental manager, was responsive, professional, and wonderful to work with, and the venue’s excellent online resources made planning especially easy. Everything about Woodend reflects thoughtful care and professionalism. While Woodend is certainly a premium venue, the experience absolutely justified it. We would recommend it without hesitation to any couple looking for an elegant wedding in a truly beautiful natural setting.
