Based in North Beach, Maryland, just 30 mintues south of Annapolis, Maryland. Herrington on the Bay is an eco-lifestyle event design and catering venue offering an exotic escape for weddings and special events. For more than 30 years, Herrington on the Bay has been hosting celebrations of love overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Celebrated for its waterfront accommodations, phenomenal sunsets, and beautifully manicured gardens, this destination will leave you weak in the knees and completely in love.
Facilities and Capacity
Herrington on the Bay offers two private waterfront wedding venue options. The first is the Herrington Yacht Club, with gardens, ballrooms, and a harborside patio. The maximum capacity for the yacht club is 160 guests. The other waterfront option is the Chesapeake Ballroom. This private coastal setting offers a pier, colorful gardens, and a tent structure to welcome up to 350 guests for a couple’s wedding. The tent features a white porcelain tile floor, a chandelier, and lighted ceiling drapes as a classy option for the reception. Throughout these venue spaces, couples will find waterfront ceremony locations such as pergolas and gazebos, as well as two-story indoor ballrooms with hardwood floors. Overnight guests can travel just steps from the reception to lavish overnight accommodations at The Inn at Herrington Harbour. A wing of suites overlooks the wedding lawn at this resort, perfect for newlyweds on their wedding night. The Inn features a private beach with complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking. Choose from two pavilion spaces to host your rehearsal and send off brunch for a complete wedding weekend.
Cuisine
The venue's culinary team is passionate about cooking and aim to craft bespoke menus for each happy couple. From good ol’ Maryland fare to diverse cultural and fusion foods, their chefs delight our guests with fresh farm-to-table custom cuisine. You can also request gluten-free and vegan specialties.

Best wedding ever
This. Is. It!
We worked with Taresa as our Event Specialist and she was DARLING. We truly felt so understood and so well taken care of. I can't say enough about how she handled my being an anxious bride, but I will say she was always there for a late night email or to be a calming reassuring presence when I needed it.
Lexi was our outstanding Event Coordinator and Katie was our VIP server the day of. They both were so wonderful and did such an amazing job with everything, we felt so grateful to be surrounded by so many kind and hard working people on our big day!
If you are looking for your dream location, this is IT! You seriously will not find anything better, I mean it. You can truly feel the energy of this place the second you arrive there. The town is darling, the food is phenomenal, and the experience of having your dream wedding at Herrington is unmatched!
