As soon as I toured Herrington on the Bay, I knew I wanted to get married here. From the beautiful scenery, amazing service & staff, and delicious food, I couldn't have asked for a better day!! It was truly the wedding of our dreams. A big shoutout to Lexy and Katie for being the best staff to work with to make our dream wedding come true! They both were always so quick to answer any questions we had and so helpful the day of our wedding making it run so smooth. I highly recommend getting married here!! It is such a hidden gem in Maryland, it really felt like a destination wedding.

We could not have picked better venue for our wedding. Every single person we worked with was wonderful, and every meeting and communication that we had with Herrington left us feeling confident, supported, and genuinely excited for our big day. We did not hire a wedding planner - we depended fully on our assigned coordinator (Amber). She kept us on track and made sure we thought of the every little detail throughout the entire planning process.

On the wedding day itself, the team went above and beyond in every way. They were incredibly attentive and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even knew them ourselves. They kept everything running smoothly, kept us on schedule, and ensured that every detail went according to plan. Our day was colder than expected, and they allowed family and friends to sit in the heated tent before scheduled. We knew it likely threw them off, but they adjusted with no issues. Having such a professional and caring team who could take action and quickly pivot allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our day.

Further, the food, drink, and customer service provided was exceptional. Our guests repeatedly praised the quality and portion sizes of the food.

The only minor downsides of the venue are the limited hotel options nearby and the fact that the venue coordinator does not attend the rehearsal. However, these were small considerations compared to the exceptional experience we had overall. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly and are so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day perfect. Thank you so much Amber and Megan!!

We were beyond thrilled with our experience at Herrington on the Bay - it was truly the perfect place to celebrate our wedding! From the moment we toured the Chesapeake Ballroom and surrounding area along the water, we were captivated by the breathtaking views. Whether it was the beautiful sunset reflection dancing on the water during golden hour or the sparkling lights at night, every photo turned out magical thanks to the stunning backdrop provided by Herrington.
The setup was flawless — elegant, thoughtfully arranged, and exactly what we envisioned. The team was incredibly attentive and made the entire planning process so smooth. On the day of the wedding, every detail was perfectly in place, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

And the food — absolutely phenomenal. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. From the appetizers to the main course and desserts, every bite was memorable. It felt like a fine dining experience wrapped in the warmth of a celebration.

If you're looking for a venue with gorgeous views, top-notch service, and exceptional food, Herrington on the Bay needs to be at the top of your list! It exceeded all of our expectations and gave us a day we’ll never forget.

Just a SPECTACULAR venue and staff !!!  I just don’t know where to start. If I could give 100 stars I would.   My daughter was married at Herrington on October 3 2025 and from the very first “let’s check this out” appointment all the way until the day of the wedding we have been amazed by the client service, commitment, and attention to EVERY detail.  HOB was nothing short of perfection. The staff went above and beyond every step of the way—no detail was too small, no request too big.  Lexy B was our Lead Executive and she was exceptional from Day 1. She has exceptional communication skills and followed through within hours to every email/phone call. She is masterful at planning and provided sound advice on where/how to use vendors, how to work the food choices that would support my daughters vibe (and also help be cost effective) Our Day of Coordinator Katie  was nothing short of PERFECTION. She  anticipated what we needed before we even asked, making the entire day feel effortless and filled with joy.  It simply amazed me how her and her staff set up the venue just from a corner full of boxes and A few instructions into the most exquisite looking wedding reception I’ve ever seen in my life.   Virtually every one of our guests (including our photographer and videographer) said my daughter‘s wedding was simply the most stunning wedding they’ve ever seen.  Katie and Lexi were ironing tablecloths to make sure there were no creases - they filled vases with water and even made arrangements for drinks & apps to be delivered to the wedding party while they were doing post ceremony pictures so they didn’t miss out on cocktail hour.   Before my daughter’s ceremony took place the general manager, Mr. Gerardo Massa stopped by to introduce himself and make sure everything was to our liking. A gracious man and one of the most impressive gestures I’ve ever seen was after the ceremony while we were taking pictures. Mr. Massa was one of the folks that came over with trays of drinks to make sure we were taken care of.   Unbelievably impressive. The chef is masterful and the staff and servers amazing.  The appetizers we chose were delicious, we also got the sushi bar, which was a huge hit.   All of the entrees came out piping hot and I think everyone cleaned their plate !!  The Bartending staff made amazing drinks all night, and we were fortunate enough to be the first two debut the “ring the bell drink wall”.  That is going to be talked about for years !!!   You must must must rent that if you have your event at Herrington !!    My daughter, and son-in-law enjoyed their wedding because everything was taken care of. And I actually enjoyed their wedding because I had the trust of the wonderful staff from HOB.  I cannot think of one thing that I would change, and I’m a hard critic. lol.  I feel like the staff at Herrington is like family and I would do another Event there in a heartbeat.  The town is just the cutest, we took two extra days and enjoyed North Beach MD

I immediately fell in love with the beauty of Herrington on the Bay when I stumbled across them in my search for a waterfront wedding venue. Somehow the stars aligned and I was able to book them as my wedding venue and it was one of the easiest and best choices of my whole wedding!

The ceremony and reception spaces are STUNNING with so much natural beauty, that no other effort was needed on my part. Guests could not stop complimenting the views, especially the sunset.

Every single person that helped us from the staff was amazing from the very beginning. Lindsey, Amber, Sara, and Sarah held my hand and calmed my nerves throughout the entire wedding process and were always there for me when I wanted their honest opinions or suggestions.

And now - THE FOOD. Everyone was so impressed by how delicious every single course was , from the apps to the nitrogen ice cream bar, the compliments couldn't stop coming. And a special shout out goes to the amazing staff for making sure my now husband (!) and I were well fed and didn't miss out on any of the delicious food and drink offerings.

I seriously cannot recommend Herrington enough and will continue talking about how amazing it was to anyone who will listen!

Taresa, Megan, Sarah and the entire Herrington on the Bay staff were fantastic from the day we met to our wedding day. Taresa was our Event Specialist/Planner who helped us go from having no idea what we were doing to creating the wedding of our dreams. She knew the answer to every question we had, was flexible with due dates/timelines, and guided us along our entire 16 month planning process. We talked about budget from the get go and she really worked with us to stay within that budget, something we feel is invaluable in the wedding industry. Megan was our Day Of/Event Coordinator who worked tirelessly and went above and beyond to make sure everything on our wedding day was executed smoothly from setup to cleanup. We had a family friend get ordained and officiate our wedding. When it came time to fill out the marriage license, Megan helped us make sure it was completed correctly (and had a pen ready!). She could’ve watched us scratch our heads googling how to fill out a marriage license on our phones, but it was all the small things she took care of that allowed us to enjoy our wedding day. Sarah was our VIP Attendant who made sure we had food, drinks and anything else we needed on our wedding day. Even while she was busy helping Megan, setting up tables, and dishing out dinner, she still checked in on us countless times throughout the day making sure we were all good and was always available anytime we needed anything. All in all, the venue is beautiful being right by the bay with colorful foliage and a picturesque dock perfect for sunset pictures. But it’s really the people who make Herrington on the Bay the ideal wedding venue. Everyone we talked to afterwards said the venue and staff were simply perfect.

The Herrington staff from day 1 were absolutely incredible. My husband and I are both in sales and customer service and we were impressed from the minute we toured and sent an email with how responsive, accommodating, and genuinely kind everyone we spoke to were. Don’t even get me started on the day of ….the VIP staff were 10/10 PERFECTION!!!!!!!!! They made my vision come to life and I can not recommend them enough. Stunning venue and everyone was nothing short of amazing!

Booking Herrington on the Bay was an absolute dream, and having Lexy as our planner along with Megan as our day-of coordinator made everything completely stress-free and seamless! From the very beginning, Lexy was incredible-always ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure every single detail was thought through. She made planning feel exciting and manageable instead of overwhelming, and her expertise gave us so much confidence leading up to the big day.

Then came the wedding day, and Megan was an absolute rockstar! She was so attentive, organized, and on top of every little thing before we even had to think about it. From coordinating with vendors to keeping the timeline running smoothly, she handled it all with such grace and professionalism.

Herrington on the Bay itself is breathtaking. The grounds are stunning, with lush flower gardens buzzing with butterflies and bees, and the gentle sound of the ocean crashing nearby adds the perfect natural soundtrack to your day. Every corner feels like it was made for a wedding- so romantic, serene, and utterly magical.

The staff at Herrington on the Bay were an absolute joy to be around- they made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Every detail was handled with care, and you could truly feel how much they genuinely care about the couple, the guests, and the day. And the food… WOW. It was absolutely outrageous- hands down the best food you’ll ever have at a wedding. Every bite was incredible, and it added so much to the celebration.

Thanks to Lexy, Megan, and the amazing Herrington staff, our wedding was a dream come true. The day flowed perfectly, we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment, and everything was just magical. If you’re planning a wedding, do yourself a huge favor and book Herrington on the Bay!
