As soon as I toured Herrington on the Bay, I knew I wanted to get married here. From the beautiful scenery, amazing service & staff, and delicious food, I couldn't have asked for a better day!! It was truly the wedding of our dreams. A big shoutout to Lexy and Katie for being the best staff to work with to make our dream wedding come true! They both were always so quick to answer any questions we had and so helpful the day of our wedding making it run so smooth. I highly recommend getting married here!! It is such a hidden gem in Maryland, it really felt like a destination wedding. -

Felt like a Princess!
Our wedding turned out absolutely amazing. Truly the best weekend ever! A lot in thanks to the Herrington Staff. We worked with Lexy Buchanan and her staff including, Sara and Katie, and I can’t recommend them enough. In the months of planning leading up to the day they were attentive and willing to help with every desire and whim we had. On the day they made us feel so special, their attention to detail was unmatched. They helped me with a bustle fiasco, and don’t even get me started on the personal cocktail hour food service and drink service all night long. Truly felt like a princess! The food was also outstanding, which I’ve had so many compliments on in the months since our wedding. Seriously can’t recommend this venue enough. Beautiful scenery and amazing staff! -

10/10 experience!!
We could not have picked better venue for our wedding. Every single person we worked with was wonderful, and every meeting and communication that we had with Herrington left us feeling confident, supported, and genuinely excited for our big day. We did not hire a wedding planner - we depended fully on our assigned coordinator (Amber). She kept us on track and made sure we thought of the every little detail throughout the entire planning process.
On the wedding day itself, the team went above and beyond in every way. They were incredibly attentive and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even knew them ourselves. They kept everything running smoothly, kept us on schedule, and ensured that every detail went according to plan. Our day was colder than expected, and they allowed family and friends to sit in the heated tent before scheduled. We knew it likely threw them off, but they adjusted with no issues. Having such a professional and caring team who could take action and quickly pivot allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our day.
Further, the food, drink, and customer service provided was exceptional. Our guests repeatedly praised the quality and portion sizes of the food.
The only minor downsides of the venue are the limited hotel options nearby and the fact that the venue coordinator does not attend the rehearsal. However, these were small considerations compared to the exceptional experience we had overall. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly and are so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day perfect. Thank you so much Amber and Megan!! -

Just a SPECTACULAR venue and staff !!! I just don’t know where to start. If I could give 100 stars I would. My daughter was married at Herrington on October 3 2025 and from the very first “let’s check this out” appointment all the way until the day of the wedding we have been amazed by the client service, commitment, and attention to EVERY detail. HOB was nothing short of perfection. The staff went above and beyond every step of the way—no detail was too small, no request too big. Lexy B was our Lead Executive and she was exceptional from Day 1. She has exceptional communication skills and followed through within hours to every email/phone call. She is masterful at planning and provided sound advice on where/how to use vendors, how to work the food choices that would support my daughters vibe (and also help be cost effective) Our Day of Coordinator Katie was nothing short of PERFECTION. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked, making the entire day feel effortless and filled with joy. It simply amazed me how her and her staff set up the venue just from a corner full of boxes and A few instructions into the most exquisite looking wedding reception I’ve ever seen in my life. Virtually every one of our guests (including our photographer and videographer) said my daughter‘s wedding was simply the most stunning wedding they’ve ever seen. Katie and Lexi were ironing tablecloths to make sure there were no creases - they filled vases with water and even made arrangements for drinks & apps to be delivered to the wedding party while they were doing post ceremony pictures so they didn’t miss out on cocktail hour. Before my daughter’s ceremony took place the general manager, Mr. Gerardo Massa stopped by to introduce himself and make sure everything was to our liking. A gracious man and one of the most impressive gestures I’ve ever seen was after the ceremony while we were taking pictures. Mr. Massa was one of the folks that came over with trays of drinks to make sure we were taken care of. Unbelievably impressive. The chef is masterful and the staff and servers amazing. The appetizers we chose were delicious, we also got the sushi bar, which was a huge hit. All of the entrees came out piping hot and I think everyone cleaned their plate !! The Bartending staff made amazing drinks all night, and we were fortunate enough to be the first two debut the “ring the bell drink wall”. That is going to be talked about for years !!! You must must must rent that if you have your event at Herrington !! My daughter, and son-in-law enjoyed their wedding because everything was taken care of. And I actually enjoyed their wedding because I had the trust of the wonderful staff from HOB. I cannot think of one thing that I would change, and I’m a hard critic. lol. I feel like the staff at Herrington is like family and I would do another Event there in a heartbeat. The town is just the cutest, we took two extra days and enjoyed North Beach MD -

I immediately fell in love with the beauty of Herrington on the Bay when I stumbled across them in my search for a waterfront wedding venue. Somehow the stars aligned and I was able to book them as my wedding venue and it was one of the easiest and best choices of my whole wedding!
The ceremony and reception spaces are STUNNING with so much natural beauty, that no other effort was needed on my part. Guests could not stop complimenting the views, especially the sunset.
Every single person that helped us from the staff was amazing from the very beginning. Lindsey, Amber, Sara, and Sarah held my hand and calmed my nerves throughout the entire wedding process and were always there for me when I wanted their honest opinions or suggestions.
And now - THE FOOD. Everyone was so impressed by how delicious every single course was , from the apps to the nitrogen ice cream bar, the compliments couldn't stop coming. And a special shout out goes to the amazing staff for making sure my now husband (!) and I were well fed and didn't miss out on any of the delicious food and drink offerings.
I seriously cannot recommend Herrington enough and will continue talking about how amazing it was to anyone who will listen! -

The Herrington staff from day 1 were absolutely incredible. My husband and I are both in sales and customer service and we were impressed from the minute we toured and sent an email with how responsive, accommodating, and genuinely kind everyone we spoke to were. Don’t even get me started on the day of ….the VIP staff were 10/10 PERFECTION!!!!!!!!! They made my vision come to life and I can not recommend them enough. Booking Herrington on the Bay was an absolute dream, and having Lexy as our planner along with Megan as our day-of coordinator made everything completely stress-free and seamless! From the very beginning, Lexy was incredible-always ready to answer questions, offer guidance, and make sure every single detail was thought through. She made planning feel exciting and manageable instead of overwhelming, and her expertise gave us so much confidence leading up to the big day.
Then came the wedding day, and Megan was an absolute rockstar! She was so attentive, organized, and on top of every little thing before we even had to think about it. From coordinating with vendors to keeping the timeline running smoothly, she handled it all with such grace and professionalism.
Herrington on the Bay itself is breathtaking. The grounds are stunning, with lush flower gardens buzzing with butterflies and bees, and the gentle sound of the ocean crashing nearby adds the perfect natural soundtrack to your day. Every corner feels like it was made for a wedding- so romantic, serene, and utterly magical.
The staff at Herrington on the Bay were an absolute joy to be around- they made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Every detail was handled with care, and you could truly feel how much they genuinely care about the couple, the guests, and the day. And the food… WOW. It was absolutely outrageous- hands down the best food you’ll ever have at a wedding. Every bite was incredible, and it added so much to the celebration.
Thanks to Lexy, Megan, and the amazing Herrington staff, our wedding was a dream come true. The day flowed perfectly, we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment, and everything was just magical. If you’re planning a wedding, do yourself a huge favor and book Herrington on the Bay! -

The planning process at The Herrington was seamless and highly professional, with every detail thoughtfully accounted well in advance.
Lexy truly understood my vision (and indecisions) and she helped shape my wedding dream into something even more beautiful than I imagined. Her positive and calming presence each time we spoke, I left every meeting feeling confident and excited about the next steps.
The gardens venue itself is stunning, but what truly sets The Herrington apart is the level of service and support they provide throughout the entire process. They offer a wealth of trusted vendor recommendations, which made planning so much easier and more enjoyable. On the day of the wedding, everything ran smoothly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive and kind.
I am so grateful for the months of planning, dedication, and care that Lexy and the HOTB team poured into our big day. I cannot recommend The Herrington and Lexy enough—working with them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! -

I cannot say enough good things about our entire experience at Herrington. From the first time we visited the property (our initial tour by the lovely Karli), planning phases (working with Lexy) and then the final details and day of (working with Katie), everything was so seamless. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, let alone doing it from California - but these ladies made it so easy, they were flexible, and they helped me think of everything that I might not have known to think of. They coordinated with my vendors weeks leading up to the wedding, and they made the day of so perfect, even with the weather forecast changing every hour. You will not regret having your wedding at Herrington, and I know that there is not this level of support at other venues which made it even better. Most of my friends are married, and have been to a lot of weddings, and I have never received so many compliments on how amazing ours was! It was beautiful and everything flowed so nicely! Thank you so much Herrington - especially Lexy, Katie and Karli for making our day so amazing! Could not have asked for a better venue or a better team. -

I can't say enough how absolutely amazing Herrington on the Bay was for us. From the jump we felt so welcome and so lucky. My husband and I never thought two educators would be able to have a wedding like we did here, but it was everything we wanted and more!
We worked with Taresa as our Event Specialist and she was DARLING. We truly felt so understood and so well taken care of. I can't say enough about how she handled my being an anxious bride, but I will say she was always there for a late night email or to be a calming reassuring presence when I needed it.
Lexi was our outstanding Event Coordinator and Katie was our VIP server the day of. They both were so wonderful and did such an amazing job with everything, we felt so grateful to be surrounded by so many kind and hard working people on our big day!
If you are looking for your dream location, this is IT! You seriously will not find anything better, I mean it. You can truly feel the energy of this place the second you arrive there. The town is darling, the food is phenomenal, and the experience of having your dream wedding at Herrington is unmatched!

We got married at the HOB yacht club on 10/11/24 and I truly cannot express how amazing everything was! From the beauty of the venue, to the ease of working with the staff, everything absolutely exceeded our expectations. The staff has been helpful and attentive since day 1 and they were amazing on the day of as well. They treated all our guests exceptionally and made sure that we, the bride and groom, had everything we needed at all times. Everyone raved about the food all weekend and truly it was some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We love HOB and can’t wait to be back in the future! -

Our wedding at Herrington on the Bay was truly magical and exceeded all our expectations! We were actually set on booking a different venue, but after touring Herrington and meeting the wonderful staff, we fell in love with the space and knew it was right for us. It is an inviting "hidden gem" in North Beach, MD with stunning views. You can really see and feel the care and attention the owners and staff put into the space. We booked the Garden and Yacht Club for our wedding, but honestly you cant go wrong with either of Herrington's venues -- the Yacht Club or Tent -- both are really amazing spaces. The entire team worked so hard to help us make our perfect wedding day happen.
On the day of our wedding, the venue looked absolutely stunning, and the staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. The food provided was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, impressing all of our guests. We were particularly grateful for the team's flexibility in catering to our specific requests, making us feel special and cared for throughout the entire event.

The perfect day
Herrington helped plan our dream wedding venue. From the food which we got to completely customize to the bar to the incredible people we got to work with (should out to Lexy and Melissa) it was the perfect day. They even gave us free upgrades the week of the wedding. I truly can’t imagine getting married anywhere else because this place was perfection. The team coordinated with all our vendors, managed the timeline, and oversaw the entire event flawlessly, allowing us and our families to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the joy of the occasion.

My husband and I could not recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. From our first encounter with them to our wedding everything was more than we could imagine. We actually made the decision to book a venue before getting engaged because we wanted to get married on a specific date (12.31.23), I started reaching out to MD venues to see who was open during the winter, HTOB got back to me within the hour of my inquiry. When we went to look at the venue, we were greeted with beverages and appetizers. All of the staff we worked with wee amazing and extremely professional. Our day off coordinator, Melissa was absolutely fantastic. From our last planning meeting together to making everything run smoothly on our big day she was the best. Melissa, was extremely responsive even on off hours and was on top of everything. It’s been two weeks since our big day and we are still getting compliments from our guests on the wedding and the staff and how great the evening turned out. If you want to surprise your guests with something they won’t forget, opt in for the wow experience. The fireworks were the hit of the night and were better than we expected. Scott and I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay for your wedding, you won’t regret it! -

Simply…perfect. Since the first day, every single person was warm, kind, helpful, patient. Marcie, Katie, Lexy, Mickey, and our awesome VIP server, Samantha, made the day-of stress free, easy, and SEAMLESS! The only thing they seemed concerned about was if we were happy and having fun. Everyone worked so hard to make our day their priority. It was all so special - from planning all the way to the grand sparkler exit. All of our friends and family had a BLAST. The apple cider/hot chocolate station at the ceremony site, the appetizers, our dinner, the drinks were seriously phenomenal. Herrington was actually my first job when I was 14 years old, and the level of genuine care and attention to detail has always been a staple here. I am so thankful for every moment and person involved!!! -

A Dream Come True
I can’t even put into words how special this place is and how wonderful all of the people we worked with were. From the moment I toured Herrington, I knew I had to get married there. We had to wait almost two years until our big day since they book out so far in advance, but it allowed us plenty of time to plan the perfect wedding with our wonderful coordinator, Lexy. She kept us on schedule, answered every little annoying question I had throughout the process (and I had a lot of them), and went above and beyond for us. We checked in regularly to work through our menu, timeline, vendors, and decor. Everyone at HOTB is a true professional and they go out of their way to make your special day come to life. We got married at the Polynesian lawn/paradise ballroom and it truly felt like a beautiful destination wedding. The waterfront venue and landscaping are so breathtaking that you barely need to decorate the space at all. The paradise ballroom was an elegant and enchanting space to have our reception, with it’s twinkly chandelier and spacious layout. HOTB provides everything you need: ceremony/reception space, food/servers, alcohol, event coordinator, tables/chairs/linens. It takes so much stress out of the planning process knowing that you’re in their capable hands. Last but certainly not least: the food was amazing! Some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had. We had braised short rib and chicken Chesapeake, which were both delicious. Our appetizers were a big hit with our guests as well! They source local, seasonal ingredients and there is an amazing variety of options to choose from! If you made it this far, you need to book here. I can’t tell you how many times our guests told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. This place is truly special. -

There aren't words for how amazing Herrington on the Bay and all their staff are. Every little detail was accounted for and helped planned by their amazing event coordinator and day of coordinator that are included in their wedding package. It's a gorgeous venue with amazingly kind and helpful staff who's only goal is to make sure you have the best wedding possible. Magnificent Venue
If you are seeking a garden or waterfront location, Herrington on the Bay is the perfect location for your special occasion. My daughter got married at Herrington on the Bay (May 2023) and the experience was magnificent. This waterfront venue provided a stunning backdrop and their top-of-the-line services and amenities are all inclusive. The staff was professional and accommodating. I can not say enough good things about this venue and the staff! The process was flawless from the moment we stepped foot on the venue and signed the contract.
I worked directly with Taresa and Katie and they both went above and beyond to ensure that the day went off without any major concerns. Teresa is phenomenal and she did everything to make sure my daughter had her dream wedding, even running last minute errands. Both ladies were responsive, responsible, patient, organized, and made sure every detail was attended to. Their team completely managed the set up and break down, kept the evening on schedule, and Katie checked in with me throughout the event so I did not have to worry or stress. Katie and her team ensured there was never an empty glass or hungry stomach at the wedding.
I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay. I loved the entire experience. From the beautiful garden view to the breathtaking waterfront; the delicious food and amazing drinks; exemplary service and skilled personnel. The service was exemplary and as I reflect back, the day was close to perfect, thanks to the amazing team. The guests cannot stop talking about the service and the VIP treatment they received. Thanks Taresa, Katie, and the entire team at Herrington on the Bay.

Amazing Venue, Dream Come True!
Our experience with Herrington on the Bay was amazing from start to finish! From beginning to end, the entire process was so easy and stress-free and organized. Our wedding was really our dream come true and everything came out exactly the way we envisioned. We chose the Polynesian Garden venue.
Our initial tour with Laura was amazing and the food was so delicious that we knew we wanted to book this venue.
Lexy was so kind and responsive the entire process and answered all of our questions promptly.
Amber, our day of coordinator was also so kind, patient, and attentive the entire process and especially the day of our wedding. She made sure everything went smoothly and perfect!
We were extremely stressed out with the weather showing rain all week. Amber was very communicative regarding the indoor rain plan. She sent us photos to show us the options beforehand.
Taylor was our rehearsal/ceremony coordinator and she was also really kind.
The day of the wedding, we had to make the call of indoor vs outdoor due to the rain coming and both Amber and Taylor helped us make the decision, showing us the weather radar and going through options. Luckily we were able to have our ceremony outside like we planned! (Though the indoor option would have been fine too!)
Herrington is such a beautiful venue that you do not need to add a bunch of extra decor but there are also options to add on to make the venue even more beautiful. We added on the lanterns which made the venue look SO magical! We also added on the lights on the patio which we loved! Guests enjoyed the fire pit.
Our guests raved about:
-the food! they said absolute BEST food they have had at a wedding ever! they loved the appetizers and the entrees plus our signature cocktail. we also had late night tater tots plus topping bar which was a hit!
-the photo ops! they loved taking photos out on the dock, sunset photos, the ceremony site with the arch. we were so happy guests were able to enjoy the venue and take lots and lots of photos
-the venue- they said it was absolutely beautiful. some said they felt like they were in Hawaii with the bay and the palm trees.
The staff during the wedding were also great! The bartender was very nice and the wait staff were great.
The Inn at Herrington Inn is close by and highly recommend staying there as well in conjunction with your wedding at Herrington on the Bay.
They also had a tasting event prior to the wedding where we got to try different appetizer options and dishes and that was extremely helpful in making decisions for our wedding.
We just cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough! It really was our dream come true and we are so happy that we chose this venue. A HUGE thank you to Lexy, Amber, and Taylor who made our dream come true! -

From the first moment I stepped onto the grounds of HOTB, I knew this was the place for our wedding! The grounds are lovely and meticulously maintained. The archway with a view to the bay is stunning. From the beginning of planning to the end of our day, the knowledge and professionalism was incredible.
What a fabulous and memorable experience. We can't thank HOTB especially Marcie and Katie for all of the planning and hard work that went into making our special day such a success. All of the day of staff were phenomenal and hustled so that all of our guests felt special.
Everyone loved the venue! The food was amazing, and we keep getting compliments on the food AND the drinks. The signature drinks were a HUGE HIT and everyone wants the recipe. -

The process of working with Herrington on the Bay for our big day was so seamless. The staff was amazing. They were accommodating, flexible, helpful, efficient, and pleasant. Our wedding planner/coordinator, Taresa, was the best to work with. She was attentive to our needs. She was very patient with all of our questions, addressing our many requests and changes throughout the process. She was available on our wedding day and handled our wedding with care. She worked diligently as if this was her wedding day and it was extremely special. As in every wedding day, very minor/small things happened but Taresa handled everything and the day was completely stress free for the bride and groom, wedding party and guests. I am sure that there were things that we weren't even aware of. Katie was our day of coordinator and they worked very well as a team. I would recommend this duo to coordinate all of their future weddings. We received many phone calls/emails during this process just to check in with us and see if all of our questions and needs were met/answered. We have also received follow up calls after our event. We highly recommended Herrington on the Bay as your venue. -

My husband and I got married at Herrington’s Polynesian Lawn on November 6, and it was everything we could’ve dreamed of and more. From the very first time we toured the venue, Corinne and Marcie made us feel welcomed and at ease; actually, they truly made us feel like family. They walked us through the process and explained all our options with full transparency. I’m not a big planner, so I was dreading planning a big wedding, but I can wholeheartedly say Marcie made the process as easy and as seamless as possible. Amber was our day-of coordinator, and she was a total rockstar. Everything went without a hitch, and all our decor/signs were placed perfectly and as we had asked. She also helped us ensure everything that belonged to us was tidy and ready for pick up at the end of the night. During our wedding, the entire service team were such sweethearts. Our VIP server was always there to ensure we had food and a drink in hand. Even our bartender was amazing– she made sure all our guests got their drinks in a timely fashion. All in all, our wedding was an absolute dream, and I can credit this to this stunning venue and competent team. I would highly recommend Herrington on the Bay.

A Dream Venue
We had a fairy tale destination wedding without having to get on a plane. Herrington on the Bay is EVERYTHING-- A ceremony in a garden, steps from a beautiful beach; an elegant event hall for the reception with amazing views of gorgeous yachts; delicious gourmet food; and colocated with a dreamy cottage style inn where our guests stayed. Every single guest we had commented on how idyllic the venue was. On top of all that, the event planning staff made everything so easy for us. Every option was laid out for us - colors, linens, food choices, drink options--they have it all. Taresa and the staff at Herrington on the Bay gave me my dream wedding, and I am truly grateful. -

My fiancé and I cannot speak more highly of this beautiful venue. From the very beginning, the Herrington team (especially Lexy, Katie, and Mickey) has been kind and organized. They helped map out all the details and kept us updated and on track along the way. We were able to attend a dining event for free over the summer where we sampled all the food and drinks options -- everything was delicious and we were able to narrow down our selections for our wedding meal which was yummy. The yacht club was the perfect size for our 100 guests and the vendors we hired (who were suggested by Herrington) made the day go smoothly.
Our day-of-coordinator, Katie, was very responsive and answered all the questions that we had. She was very helpful and accommodating when it came to setting our decor up and making decisions regarding set up.
We are very happy with our decision to have our wedding at Herrington on the Bay! -

Amazing Day
Our wedding at Herrington was everything we could have wished for! Both the ceremony site and reception venue (we had our reception in the Yacht Club) are gorgeous and well maintained. You honestly don't need to go overboard with decor because you are surrounded by beautiful views of the water everywhere you go. You feel like you are on vacation when you are at the property. Additionally, from the very first part of the planning process to the day of, the coordinators were friendly, organized, and knowledgeable. They helped our vision for the day come to life and all of the vendors they recommended were awesome to work with as well. The best part of working with Herrington, as the bride, was that on the day of, I truly felt like I had nothing to worry about. It rained all day, but the coordinators worked closely with us to time the ceremony just right, and we were able to get married outside between rain showers with no inconvenience to the flow of the day at all! During the reception, the coordinators helped move the events of the night along, and everything happened on schedule and with great flow. I always had a drink or food waiting for me when I needed it, and so did our family and wedding party. Our guests loved the bar staff and other attendants, who were all very friendly. Overall, we had an amazing day and I would recommend Herrington to anyone looking for a waterfront wedding! Thanks Lexy, Amber, Marcie for pulling off the best timed ceremony ever! -

Herrington on the Bay is a wedding dream come true! I researched tons of venues in the area, but once I found Herrington on the Bay, it was love at first sight. I worked with Marcie and Brittany and they brought my vision to life. They helped make the planning process seamless. I knew I could rely on them for support in making our fairy tale wedding happen. Marcie was extraordinary in every way. I called her my wedding angel! Anything I needed and she was there, responding to my every email and keeping me up to date on every detail. The celebration went as perfect as it could and they were flexible with anything coming their way. The food, the staff and everyone worked hard to make our day as happy as can be. The guests continuously gave my husband and I compliments on everything and they enjoyed taking photos against the beautiful and scenic views along the water. This venue… once you get past the amazing view, you are greeted by the most amazing team out there. The Herrington team was so helpful throughout the entire process. They shared all options and helped guide us in the right direction as we planned our wedding. The team is open to almost any idea that exists and truly works with you to make your day so special. If it’s not on their menus, don’t be afraid to ask. The food is made on-site by their chefs and it’s so dang good. By the end of the experience, we loved how comfortable we felt asking questions, making comments, and just chatting with the team. Best all around experience I could have ever imagined. -

Gorgeous wedding day!
We are so thankful that we found and booked this venue. We loved our ceremony on the Polynesian Lawn - it was an absolutely gorgeous setting even on our chilly & windy November wedding day. And the Paradise ballroom tent for our reception was beautiful without even needing much extra decor. Our coordinators had been in touch throughout the whole planning process to help us put together the day we were dreaming of. We had wonderful wait staff and bar staff the day of, all of our guests enjoyed the food and drinks. And Marcie our day-of coordinator & Brittany our event coordinator were exceptional in making sure our vision for our wedding came to life, and that everything ran smoothly! Every detail we had gone over with them was executed perfectly. Couldn't recommend Herrington on the Bay more! -

Destination Wedding Vibes Right In Our DMV Backyard
When we first started wedding planning my husband and I were adamant about having a local wedding that felt like a destination and accommodated our large families. Herrington on the Bay was our perfect oasis! Within 15 mins we knew we found our venue. We loved how spacious, picturesque and all inclusive Herrington was. They are a catering venue which allows them to operate almost like a restaurant. This was perfect given the pandemic and not once did we worry about having to reschedule or postpone our event. On top of that the staff at Herrington were beyond personable and amazing to work with. When you book with Herrington you truly gain a full family of folks helping you bring your dream day to life. We had a number of event coordinators assigned to us throughout the process however each transition was extremely smooth and felt like we were working with one person the entire time. They are organized and know how to keep things on track. For example both my husband and I were running behind schedule on the actual day of our wedding and Herrington was able to pivot seamlessly to ensure we got everything we wanted without going over time. It was amazing! Lastly, the food! The chefs at Herrington literally can create any culinary experience you are seeking. My husband and I wanted to recreate the unique DC party brunch. It is literally our favorite way to party, day drinking, non traditional brunch cuisine and dancing. We were determined to have our wedding be just that. We asked for foods that not only were a nod to our favorite cuisines but also represented places we’ve traveled together to ensure our guest’s palettes were going on an adventure. Herrington delivered just that! We got so many compliments about the food and our signature drink from every guest. We loved Herrington and our day wouldn’t have been the same without them. The venue is absolutely stunning - we had our ceremony on the Polynesian Lawn and our reception in the Paradise Ballroom (the large tent). The cocktail hour was hosted on the patio right outside the tent - guests ended up using the patio the whole night as well. The dock, the breeze from the water, and the beautiful florals made it the perfect setting for us.
Kira first sold us on the venue - she is HIGHLY professional, energetic, responsive, and engaging. Brittany took over as our planning coordinator and answered my countless emails and phone calls throughout the entire planning process quickly, professionally, and also took on vendor coordination - which was huge for me as I was my own wedding planner. Ryan helped us the evening of the wedding - and when one of our buses for transportation didn't show, Ryan took it upon himself to help shuttle people back to their hotel.
Highly, highly recommend Herrington on the Bay if you're looking for a unique, personalized, and dedicated wedding team with amazing food, fantastic views, and the most supportive staff. -

Herrington on the bay is the absolute perfect wedding venue! The onsite hotel staff is incredibly helpful and the hotel had a large array or beautiful rooms! The staff who works on their wedding planning were incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through every single option we have and how we could make our day as perfect and unique to us as possible. Lexy was working with us on the entire way through and made everything convenient and perfect for us! The food prepared by the private chef’s was our absolute dream meal for our wedding. The space (Herring Bay Garden & Herrington Yacht Club) was so picturesque and gorgeous with the florals and all of the natural décor that we almost didn’t need any other décor! All in all Herrington On the Bay can not be beat as a wedding venue and their team of vendors are unbeatably great. -

If you want a destination wedding feel without the travel, then book Herrington! The entire resort is so beautiful and makes you feel like you're on a tropical island (We also stayed and got ready at the Inn at Herrington Harbor). And on top of that, the customer service is unmatched and the food is delicious! We toured a lot of wedding venues and none of them made us feel nearly as special and taken care of as Herrington. When you book with Herrington you have an entire team of people dedicated to helping you make sure your day is perfect. We highly recommended Herrington on the Bay. We got married in May at Honey’s Harvest Farm and got ready at the Inn at Herrington Harbor. Both made gorgeous backdrops for our special day. Lexy, Jessie and Marcie were a pleasure to work with, answering all my questions along the way. This was our second time planning our wedding. We initially had a Hawaii destination wedding set up and once the pandemic hit last May we had to cancel. Since we did not feel comfortable traveling, we decided to host a reception here. We wanted a place that resembled Hawaii and was near the water, and Herrington sure did deliver!! I was so excited to see this place in person. Lexy was our coordinator who helped us along the way and she was absolutely amazing. We had a TON of covid concerns and even changed our guest count drastically. She helped address our concerns and made sure we all feel safe by still getting the wedding we've been envisioning for so long. The extra touch was the fireworks and it was a HUGE HIT! It truly took our guests by surprise. We do not regret this decision and this venue will make sure your vision comes to life. We wanted to keep our Disney themed wedding as we originally were having our wedding in a Disney themed resort. It was the perfect balance of elegance and playfulness and not too over the top. I am still dreaming about this day and all thanks to Herrington for making our vision and dreams come to life! Lastly, there are a TON of photo opportunities here. We skipped on the photo booth and I'm so glad we did because we were able to get a lot of beautiful scenic shots along with our guests! -

First of all the venue alone is stunning. There is no bad place to take a picture and you have views for dayyyysss. This venue is phenomenal. If you are able to afford about $15-20k and higher(depending on choices) for venue, and catering combined, this is the perfect place. The team at Herrington on the Bay made our wedding perfect. The wedding was October 25, 2020, during the COVID Pandemic. The venue was absolutely amazing and the price was right in line with our budget. The location was scheduled to be on the beach, but it poured down all day. As a bride I was in tears, but Herrington on The Bay moved the ceremony indoors two hours before. It was just as beautiful indoors. The staff was professional and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. There are no words to express the level of gratitude. Thank You to Herrington on the Bay! They made our weekend wedding celebration very special.
First, a very BIG shout-out to the chefs!! Everyone loved the food at the rehearsal dinner, especially the pork and chicken BBQ. It was a very special beginning to a fantastic weekend. The wedding reception dinner and late-night snacks were all great! There were many compliments about the sirloin, Chicken Chesapeake, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Sliders. But the HIT of the night were those milkshakes!! Several people admitted they had several. Needless to say, the Chefs deserve a big CONGRATULATIONS!
Second, we were so impressed with the attention the bride and groom received. They really appreciated it when they received their very own platter of appetizers! Plus, the server was always checking to see if there was anything they needed. Everyone else received very attentive and accommodating service.
Third, a thank you to everyone who helped with setting up the venue. There were many staff behind the scenes who helped make this celebration a reality. Everything was beautiful!!

Stunning Waterfront Venue!
I would recommend Herrington on the Bay to anyone looking to have a waterfront wedding in the DMV area. The gardens are absolutely stunning and the service is top notch! Herrington also implemented extra safety and cleanliness procedures to help keep our guests safe and healthy.
We had to move our original wedding date because of COVID and, for the safety of our guests, we moved our venue space from the indoor Yacht Club to the outdoor Polynesian Lawn and Ballroom. Herrington staff was responsive and helpful every step of the way. Brittany and Jordyn were especially helpful throughout the entire process. Brittany kept us calm and informed throughout the whole planning process and Jordyn was so helpful in the days leading up to and the day of the wedding. We can't thank Herrington enough for helping us have the Best Day Ever! -

We fell in love with Herrington on the Bay from the moment we stepped foot on their beautiful property. Rewind to 2 years ago, we just happened to have one of our first dates at Ketch 22, which lead to us wandering around the beautiful property and absolutely falling in love with the beautiful views, perfectly manicured gardens and sunsets to die for. Once we got engaged on July 3, 2019, we knew that Herrington on the Bay would be top on our list of places to look at for hosting our wedding. Our dream date of July 3, 2020 was still available but sadly the coronavirus pandemic changed absolutely everything. We were like many other couples that were forced to put our wedding plans on hold until it was safe to host an event again. To our delight, about a month before July 3,2020, Herrington on the Bay reopened for small intimate “minimonies” and we were able to get married in an intimate ceremony and celebration for 7 people on our perfect day.
Big kudos to the entire team at Herrington on the Bay, Laura in Event Sales is so extremely responsive, professional, kind and answers every possible question that you could come up with. She is an absolute delight to work with. Mary and Ryan in Events were there to make sure that absolute every single detail was taken care of and did it with grace and poise, even on a hot summer day. Ryan went above and beyond by staying with us the entire ceremony to make sure everyone was happy, had plenty of cool water and towels and even helped take some pictures of the entire group. Best part of the entire experience is that we are booked for July 2021 for a ring ceremony and grand celebration, where we will be able to have our entire family and friends join us in the place that we fell in love with and got married at this year. We can hardly wait!

My husband and I recently got married on October 26th and everything about the day was perfect! We went to go look at this venue initially in the rain over a year ago, and immediately fell in love (even with it raining!).
We owe the most thanks to Brielle and Jordyn! Literally any question, they got right back to you. Brielle was also extremely helpful in general with advice (I am super indecisive and wedding planning is stressful, so needed some guidance, which she was always willing to provide!)
Also debated hiring a day of coordinator, but you definitely do not need one if you work with these fantastic ladies!
Jordyn, our day of coordinator kept me calm during the stress of possible rain, down to the very last second. It didn't rain and it ended up being the perfect day! She ensured everything ran smoothly that day as well.
Guests also raved about the scenery, the food, and just the night in general.

Perfection
I cannot say enough good things about Herrington on the Bay. Wedding planning is without a doubt, extremely stressful, and it is HARD to pick the right venue! After viewing about five other venues, it was really easy to pick Herrington after meeting with the staff. The staff is without a doubt the hardest workers, so personable, and you can tell they really want to make each and every wedding so special. From the beginning we worked with Maura who was absolutely amazing and able to help with all of our questions and needs. Maura was beyond helpful and extremely quick with getting back to me with any of my questions. We then worked with Lexy for all of our main details and questions. Lexy is probably the kindest person you will ever meet! Lexy was also extremely prompt with answering any questions and always eased any anxiety or stress I had about certain details of the wedding. I had a makeup crisis after our ceremony and Lexy quickly ran to me, asked me for the room number and address for where she could find my makeup bag, drove over there, and was back within 15 minutes to help me fix it! THANK YOU FOR THAT LEXY!!! My day of coordinator was Brittany, and even though you only work with that coordinator for a few days before the wedding and the day of day, I felt like I had known her for much longer when it came time for her to start helping out. Brittany was SO on top of everything and made everything run so smoothly. Her and Lexy together were the dream-team.
Besides the amazing staff, Herrington is just stunning. I have had so many compliments from guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they had seen. Everything ran smoothly and I really felt like I had the most perfect day and wish I could relive it all over! Thank you Herrington for everything! -

The Herrington on the Bay is a dream venue! Every member of the staff, the amenities, the scenery, the food (which is really fresh and delicious AND they allow you to try it all for free twice a year before you plan your wedding menu), the entire site is absolutely stunning. My husband and I fell in love with this venue upon our first visit and our experience only became increasingly better from there. This place is truly a one stop shop. The landscaping was so beautiful I didn't need a florist, our wedding coordinator was such a super lady I didn't need a wedding planner, the price was much more reasonable compared to other locations (and they didn't offer have of the services) and they had beautiful lodging directly across from the venue (that showed free movies on the beach at night btw) so it was really simply to plan my wedding even though my guests thought I must've put a lot of thought and money into my big day! Our guests were so impressed that to this day they are still calling us to tell us how much fun they had and that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been too! I really have to credit Ms. Brittany Bergendahl in particular. Brittany really went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my husband, my guest and I feel like royalty. She was very knowledgeable from the planning period all the way up to my wedding day, super patient (considering my ever changing visions for my big day) and really accommodating. My husband and I got married in the Herring Bay Garden on July 28, 2019. This day, and the weekend overall, was the best time of our lives. We made a whole vacation out of the experience. I started my wedding planning experience with Brittany and later worked with Laura who was my planner as well as day-of coordinator. Both Brittany and Laura were always available, answered my many emails, and made the entire process EASY for me! While planning the wedding, I was still in nursing school, so having them to guide me through this was amazing and extremely helpful. Everyone who attended the wedding said it was amazing and the best wedding they've ever been too! The setting was perfect, the weather was gorgeous, the food was BOMB, and everything came together beautifully. I literally could not have pictured a better day. Herrington on the Bay is AMAZING!!!! 10/10 highly recommend to spend the money for this venue!! Thank you for everything!!! -

There are not enough stars to give! My husband and I got married here at the Polynesian Lawn and Paradise Ballroom on Friday, June 21, 2019 and it was the best day of our lives. Herrington gave us our dream wedding. From the moment we arrived at the venue we knew it was the one. Stepping onto the Polynesian Lawn I could instantly envision me and my dad walking down the aisle with my husband waiting for me at the end. It is beyond beautiful- right on the water, extremely private, the "altar" is framed with a beautiful wooden pergola and palm trees, and the entire ceremony location is surrounded by perfectly landscaped flowers. Truly breathtaking. Right next door is the Paradise Ballroom which is not your average tent- it is a massive semi-permanent structure that they put up in April and take down during the winter. Absolutely gorgeous! The sides of the tent can be zipped off so you can enjoy the crosswinds and the open, outdoor feel. We had 115 people at our wedding and everyone fit EXTREMELY comfortably. Cocktail hour takes place right outside on the patio so your guests can enjoy a view of the water. Let's talk about the service. Herrington provides the most FANTASTIC service! Every meeting we attended we were offered food & drinks- we got to try a ton of appetizers free of charge and just really felt at home. The food is fantastic! Herrington, specifically Brittany, made the planning process SO easy! I kept feeling like I was forgetting something, but I wasn't! They are absolute pros. The day of the wedding there were no hiccups (or at least none that we knew about!) The staff is extremely professional, the entire day ran on time and most importantly, we were not stressed at all about the details. We knew that we were taken care of and we truly got to enjoy ourselves. Let's talk about the entire venue- there is an inn which I can not recommend enough! The families and wedding party stayed here which was beyond convenient. Thursday night we had our rehearsal dinner at the East Beach tent which I would highly recommend. They also have equipment for a slideshow which was a highlight of the night and the option for a beach bonfire. We LOVED having our wedding here on a Friday because we got to enjoy all day Saturday on the beach! We all had dinner Saturday night at Ketch 22, the restaurant on the property. It was frustrating that Ketch 22 didn't stay open past 11pm since we wanted to have our wedding after party there, but instead we booked the Inn's Osprey and Blue Heron suite (which is essentially a private house) and we threw our own after party which definitely ended up being way more fun! The open house that they have 2x a year was a fantastic way to meet vendors. I would HIGHLY recommend booking with vendors who are familiar with Herrington, ESPECIALLY photographers. The ONLY stressful part with Herrington was the rain back up plan- either to have your guests sit at their tables inside the tent or pay extra for a tent extension to cover the cocktail patio area and have the ceremony there. Talk through these options to make sure you are comfortable. That didn't end up mattering for us- we had the most PERFECT day- breezy, partly cloudy, low 80s with 0% chance of rain. Every time we visited we had good weather. Me, my husband and our families will be eternally grateful to Herrington on the Bay. We plan on visiting it every year to enjoy their amenities and reminisce for hopefully many years to come. -

The team at Herrington on the Bay impressed us from start to finish. They were the first venue we looked at and it didn't take long for us to book. Every question we had, they had a better answer than we had imagined. The venue is gorgeous, Brielle and Laura were incredible and so communicative the entire process. Both of them were life savers from the day we booked, They handled everything the day of and things could not have gone more smoothly. As an event planner myself, this is a day I had been imagining since I was 8 years old. Herrington on the Bay blew my expectations away. If you are reading this review and considering Herrington on the Bay...stop now. Book the date you were lucky enough to find. Then, come back and keep reading. My husband Brandon and I cannot even begin to put into words all the great things about this venue and every single one of their team members. From their incredible coordinators/planners, to the chefs, bartenders, facilities crew, and servers every single person at this venue was there to help make our weekend the best one yet. We had the opportunity to work with Lexy, Hayley, and Brittany directly for our big day and send off brunch. They were there for us every second of the planning process from the moment we stepped through their doors until the very last donut and breakfast bite was taken the morning after. They went above and beyond to make sure every single one of our requests could be met and made recommendations for things we had not thought of before. I cannot imagine a more perfect place to have an event with a menu that can become as creative as you want to make it and service that is unmatched by any other. The area is the perfect place for a weekend getaway and is a place many of our guests have told us they will now return to again in the future. Our wedding weekend was a dream and we owe it all to Herrington on the Bay! We made a lifetime of memories in a weekend and hope to return for as many of our anniversaries as we possibly can. -

Venue was spectacular and what makes this place more special are the staff! Brielle and Laura were very professional, flexible, and attentive through the entire process of planning and getting everything organized for our wedding. The weather was very shaky during our wedding day but somehow, everyone was able to make it run smoothly and perfectly. The Inn also has great suites and food was amazing for our reception. Highly recommended and would not hesitate to tell anyone else to have their wedding or any special occasion here. -

Herrington on the Bay is a beautiful venune with an amazing team. We got married on the polynesian lawn and had our reception in the parasise ballroom and could not have had a better experience. Our event designer, Brielle Woods, was with us from the day we toured our venue amd answered any questions we had promptly. Our wedding day ran very smoothly and we have no complaints! I don't even know where to begin! Herrington on the Bay was the most instrumental part in our wedding planning. Being able to plan everything right there was the best part. It was so stress-free being able to have almost everything in one place! Seating, linens, food, etc. We just had to pick what we liked! Not only was planning super fun with their two AMAZING team members, Lexy and Brielle, our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Lexy Buchanan and Brielle Woods went above and beyond for us. Lexy helped me take my shoes off and put them back on while I was in-between photos as well as help me carry my train, ask how I was doing, and kept me calm. Brielle helped us pick all the right details and was always just as excited as us. Jordyn Callahan was never far from us if we needed a drink, food, or literally anything else. These team members made our day memorable and we couldn't have done it without them! Our day was filled with the most amazing people, and it was all because of Herrington on the Bay. I'm not sure how to even put into words how perfect our day was but thank you Herrington and team for making our day the most perfect and magical day ever. Thank you!

Where to even begin… I cannot recommend Herrington on the Bay enough. My fiancé and I knew from our very first meeting at Herrington that this was the place for us. We felt pampered from the moment we arrived on the beautiful property to have our first meeting. All of the staff are a pleasure to work with; they work with you to customize everything so that the wedding truly fits your vision and help you to stay within your budget. My fiancé and I absolutely loved the food (I think the crab dip is what sold him on the venue) and he actually looked forward to planning meetings because he knew that he would be given snacks at each one. They also make the planning process easy and stress-free; my fiancé and I are both finishing up med school and had a really busy fall, but Herrington totally took care of us every step along the way and made sure that we stayed on track. Most of our vendors were recommended by Herrington as well and we loved working with every single one of them.
Not only have our guests not stopped raving about the food, but they also have not stopped talking about how lovely and relaxing the area is. I’ve had several family members say that they want to come back for a week-long stay! I had a lot of family come in early from out of town and was a bit worried about keeping everyone entertained, but they loved walking around enjoying the beach and the surrounding area.
Herrington continued to wow us when it came to the actual day of our wedding. They made sure that everything ran smoothly, even when we had a few last minute changes in the order of events at our reception. They even give you your own personal waitress to get you food and drinks during the reception, which was amazing. The day was so perfect in every way. We wish that we could do it all over again and are so thankful to Herrington for making our day so special!

Amazing !!!
We just celebrated our wedding at Herrington Yacht club on April 20th and it was a perfect day!!!!! I would highly recommend Herrington as the absolute perfect place for your wedding from the beauty of the venue, to the delicious food, the helpful staff and the amazing organization skills of everyone we worked with especially Adria and Brielle - we couldn’t have had a better experience!!!!
