We had our wedding at Great Marsh this September, and I felt the same way I did the first time I saw it - absolutely breathless. The setting is stunning; it truly feels like being on a beautiful estate in Europe. We did have some rain on our day, but we still managed to capture incredible photos around the property and hold our outdoor ceremony, which ended up being the highlight of the day. The team at Great Marsh (and Serendipity) was amazing from start to finish. They answered every question, kept me calm and confident, and handled the rain situation with total grace. Even with the back-and-forth around our rain plan, the staff was so flexible, kind, and focused on making sure the day was exactly what I had imagined. I’m so grateful we chose this venue. It was everything I wanted and more!

Elegance Estates was truly amazing and gave us everything we could ever asked for! It was affordable, small, and intimate which is exactly our requirements. We worked with Brittany as our day of coordinator and she was the best! She was super organized and very easy to work with. She made wedding planning feel easy. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Woodend was an absolutely magical place to get married! The ceremony space in the hemlock grove made for a perfect backdrop; our florist’s lovely display just served to amplify the natural beauty already present in the woods and meadow. It’s rare to find a venue where you can feel like you’re out in nature, with plenty of peace and quiet for an outdoor ceremony, while still being a 5-minute drive from the downtown amenities of a place like Bethesda. The mansion also provided some of that old-school charm when it came to the reception and the dance floor—cozy without feeling cramped. Beatriz was very helpful in coordinating with our other vendors and making sure we had a backup plan in case of weather issues. While it’s true that the catering options are limited here, we actually found that to be a benefit as we had a predefined list of companies to pick from; we did not have to skimp on quality to meet the venue’s requirements in any way. Finally, it was nice to know that our venue dollars were supporting an environmentally conscious and queer-friendly nonprofit! Would definitely recommend!

We were SO happy with our choice of venue - not only is the property beautiful with lots of historic charm, but the teams at Birkby House and Tuscarora Mill (Birkby's exclusive caterer) were also incredible. We loved that Birkby House has lots of different parts of the venue for guests and the wedding party to enjoy. From the on-site bride and groom suites, to the courtyard, to the main house, to the conservatory... it's a perfect place to celebrate your big day.

We got married in May of 2025 at the newly renovated Black Horse Manor! Everything was beautiful! They just finished a wonderful ballroom where we had our reception. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking with multiple patios and great views, multiple indoor spaces, and an inn available for rent! Our entire wedding party stayed on the property with us and it made for the best memories. They were very accommodating with any request that we had. Maura B. was our venue supervisor and she was incredibly easy to work with. She was very responsive and cared that our day ran smoothly. No wedding is without a hiccup and she and her team managed them all perfectly.

We had our wedding at Castlebrook Estate Venues on 9/6/2025 and it was the absolute best weekend of our lives. The first time we visited the venue, we were greated by Nicole and Karina who took the time to show us around and answer all the questions we had. The venue is BEAUTIFUL. If you are looking for an Italian/Eurpoean vibe for a venue, it does not get much better than this. We decided on the “fairytale” package which allowed us to have the venue for the weekend! It was the best decision we’ve ever made because nothing could truly be better than spending the weekend with family and the bridal party for our big day on Saturday. The staff was amazing and took their time to make sure all the details were exactly how we envisioned everything. My wife and I could not be more thankful for Castlebrook and a weekend that will stay with us forever!! This is absolutely one of the Top venues in the state and very affordable for what you end up paying for. Thanks again Castlebrook!

Choosing Glenview Mansion for our wedding day was the best decision we made. From the moment we started our preparations to the final dance, our experience was truly exceptional, resulting in one of the most memorable nights of our lives. The venue itself is simply amazing. The historical charm of the mansion, paired with the stunning architectural details—especially the beautiful chandeliers—made the decor blend seamlessly and created a breathtaking, romantic atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a fairytale! Beyond the incredible setting, the staff were professional, remarkably responsive, and a pleasure to work with. They made the entire planning and execution process feel smooth and well-managed. We did have a minor issue concerning flexibility regarding a small detail, but it was quickly resolved and did not detract from the sheer magic of the evening. The View at Bluemont is a spectacular venue with breathtaking views. Our daughter toured many venues for her October 2024 wedding, and no others compared to the splendor of this one which she and her husband chose for their special day. The aesthetics of the grounds and the layout, cleanliness and beauty of the manor captivated everyone in attendance. Countless guests made mention over and over how beautiful they found the venue. Furthermore, the personnel involved with running this venue and our wedding were top notch. Darcey, Nicole, and Brice along with Bryan were helpful, patient, kind and professional. We used Gala Catering, the in-house caterer and only wonderful things can be said as not only us, but our guests as well were extremely pleased with the quality, presentation, and flavor of the food. Highly recommend others to look at this spectacular venue for any party needs!

AWESOME wedding venue. Patterson mansion made our wedding in downtown DC feel like a destination wedding in Paris. Options for events of various sizes and with lodging on property, it’s hard to beat! James (Jim) made our planning experience easy!
