The Kentlands Mansion is a mansion wedding venue in the Washington, D.C. area. Facilities and Capacity
As many as 150 guests can join couples on their big day at this mansion venue. The building itself has two floors and eight rooms that couples may use for their big day. It sits on a well-manicured lawn that features a side garden, allowing wedding events to spill outdoors depending on the weather and the season. The rooms are decorated like a sophisticated home, with antique-style furniture, golden chandeliers, crown molding and - of course - works of art hung along all the walls that are supplemented in places by statues and curio cabinets. In one of the main banquet rooms, the walls are made of an ornate and darkly colored wood.
This venue offers event planning to help couples prepare for their big day. At the Kentlands Mansion, couples can host a bridal shower, engagement party or rehearsal dinner in addition to their ceremony and reception. Other services through this venue include:
The history of the estate can be traced back to 1723 as a land grant. The brick mansion was constructed by the owner’s son after his father’s death in 1892. Other buildings were also constructed on the property, many of which are - like the Kentlands Mansion - still standing and in use today. The lands were purchased by Otis Beall Kent and given a name that still sticks to this day, Kentlands. The property underwent a massive reconstruction and restoration project in the hands of the new owner, and was expanded at one point to 1,100 acres as a gentleman’s estate and wildlife sanctuary.

Amazing venue with Amazing staff
The staff at Kentlands Mansion is beyond amazing. Lisa worked with us during the planning stages and was incredibly responsive to all of our many questions. We toured the venue multiple times so that we could show it off to family members visiting from out of town and the staff was so accommodating. On the day of our wedding the staff went above and beyond for us. There was a mix up with our catering and Meghan and Melissa stepped up to make sure that it was straightened out; I (the bride) didn't find out about the situation until after the ceremony and there was already a solution in place. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the venue. Highly, Highly, Highly recommend to anyone looking for a historical wedding/event venue.Sent on 12/26/2019

Bride and groom
The Kentlands mansion was the best venue to have our wedding on it in October 2019 . The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure that we had the experience of a lifetime . They were very helpful and always got back to us in a timely manner . I am very happy that we chose to have our wedding here not only was the staff amazing, but the scenery was absolutely breathtaking . My husband and I live in Florida currently, but if we are ever in that area again we will be having events in the future there.Sent on 01/19/2020

Kentlands Mansion was lovely
My daughter had her wedding here. The staff was easy to work with and always responsive to any concerns. The venue itself is charming and elegant. We had a nice weather and used the garden for the ceremony and the inside area for the reception. The mansion is beautiful and guests can also enjoy the art. The price was reasonable also. It was a wonderful choice for the day!Sent on 12/15/2019
The Kentlands Mansion is a wonderful venue with a great staff. It's a charming place tucked away in a neighborhood in Gaithersburg.
Kentlands is one of my favorite wedding venues in the area. The building is awesome for getting ready shots, the ceremony (inside or out) and for the reception. Moreover, the grounds around Kentlands Mansion are ideal for bride and groom portraits. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and accommodating and will work with you to make your wedding a perfect day to remember. I have shot many weddings there and always look forward to the next one.
