Charming venue with excellent staff!

Highly recommend

We booked Kentlands Mansion for a last-minute elopement and had a wonderful experience. We used one of the small parlors, which was perfect for an intimate ceremony.

Antonia was incredibly helpful, attentive, and a true pleasure to work with, especially on a short timeline. The venue is tucked away in Montgomery County and feels like a hidden gem.

Intimate, beautiful, and priced very competitively. I highly recommend Kentlands Mansion to any bride looking for a stunning venue with flexible options and great support.

Wedding day

My husband and I are eternally grateful for the staff at Kentlands Mansion. Antonia, Ankur, and Sam were essential for our wedding day function. The venue was elegant and guests were in awe of the splendor that Kentlands Mansion had to offer. I would anyone looking for a wedding venue to consider Kentlands Mansion as a top contender. The bridal and groom suites are phenomenal. Our wedding day was seamless. 10/10 and would highly recommend.

Romantic Kentlands Mansion = Perfect backdrop for wedding day

I fell in love with Kentlands Mansion on my first visit and every visit since has been just as magical. The mansion itself is gorgeous inside and out. The grounds and surrounding area are so quiet and quaint, and the inside layout is so spacious yet warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and welcoming which made it an easy choice to have our wedding there! I loved that there was private space for us to get ready, an outdoor or an indoor option to have our ceremony, and ample room for a reception all at the mansion. Our day of romance was enhanced by the romance of this space!

Fantastic Venue!

Kentlands Mansion was the perfect spot for our 125 person wedding. Kentlands staff worked with us to have a flexible cocktail-style arrangement, with one room with more sit-down tables and seating everywhere. There is also seating outside and a catering kitchen adjacent to the dining room where we arranged our buffet table. Everything worked out smoothly and Antonia worked closely with us in the month leading up to the day. We had to go for our rain plan, but the outside garden would have been gorgeous for the ceremony!

Amazing!

I cannot recommend Kentlands Mansion enough! From start to finish, my experience there was absolutely wonderful. The location is breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning views and thoughtfully designed spaces that made the event truly special. The service was top-notch, with a team of professional and attentive staff who made sure everything ran smoothly. Every detail was handled with care, and I felt completely at ease knowing we were in such capable hands.

A special highlight of my experience was working with Antonia. She was an absolute joy to collaborate with and truly a ray of sunshine throughout the entire process. Always a great venue

Gorgeous space for small wedding

Multiple rooms and flexible organization. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. A room upstairs for the bride/groom to get ready. Lots of great spaces for pictures. Professional staff and it was a joy to work with them. Most importantly, probably the BEST value for people who want their wedding to be special and memorable and everything else but don't have the budget for an extravaganza.

Perfect venue for a small wedding!

We could not have asked for a better experience. The professionalism of the manager, Antonia Whitfield, was exceptional. The space is lovely, comfortable and elegant. Because of bad weather, we had to move the ceremony indoors, and it was easily managed and the room worked so well. It is extremely reasonably priced, in a pretty area with plenty of parking, with a lovely room for the bride/couple and has nice flow. I am so glad we found it and highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding at Kentlands Mansion, and I couldn't be more delighted with the experience. The staff at this establishment went above and beyond to make our special day absolutely perfect. From the initial planning stages to the final moments of the celebration, their flexibility, accommodation, and open communication were truly remarkable. Helped make an unforgettable night

When our original venue fell through, Kentlands Mansion was a lifesaver. The planning process was smooth, thanks to the helpful Facility Coordinator, who allowed us to organize a lovely wedding in just two months. The venue staff was supportive on our big day, offering practical decoration advice and helping with setup. We chose a beautiful outdoor ceremony spot by a fountain and cobblestone aisle, which was perfect with the great weather. The reception was in three cozy rooms, ideal for guest interaction. Avoid the third room for guests who prefer being in the center of action. There was a bit of confusion about post-event cleanup. The venue staff pointed out areas missed by my catering vendor, so I ended up handling it with my sister and my wife’s friend. It was a minor annoyance but quickly resolved without disturbing the bride. Future couples might want to arrange a specific cleanup team. Overall, Kentlands Mansion is a great choice with its accommodating staff and charming settings. Just be clear about cleanup responsibilities. I'd recommend it for its role in making our wedding day unforgettable

Amazing Wedding Venue!

From our first tour, to coordinating logistics of our wedding day, to the day of- Kentlands Mansion went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations! Kentlands Mansion is a great location for a wedding - plenty of parking, a beautiful exterior for photos, and a patio which was an important place for guests to take a break from the music and dancing. Our 60 guests couldn't fit in one room, so we had to split them into the Yellow Room and Music Room, the latter of which doubled as our dance floor. The Kentlands staff gladly ensured they could convert the Music Room from dinner to dancing during the reception. Antonia was also so helpful throughout the entire planning process. She was friendly, kind, and really patient putting up with our constant changes - guests counts and table layouts. FYI, we used the patio to put a photobooth and some tables with board games. Those were a hit wtih the guests if you want to use that area for a similar purpose to diversity the fun!

Highly recommend on your special day !

Just wanted to take the time to leave a review. From the beginning to the end the staff at the mansion was very helpful. Antonia was so nice when walking us through the final set up. Any questions we had they would respond immediately. The venue itself was beautiful, if you are looking for a small/ medium size wedding this place is amazing. Our guest loved the unique look to the mansion. Everyone said it looked like a movie. Their prices are very reasonable. You get the whole mansion, including two beautiful rooms upstairs for the groom and bride to get ready in (really nice for pictures). Our ceremony was outside, and you really don't need much of decorations because the mansion itself is so beautiful. I would highly recommend, they made my day stress-free and special.

Amazing time!

We had such a wonderful time at our wedding at the Kentlands Mansion. The ceremony and reception, which were both held on the mansion's grounds, went off without a hitch thanks in large part to the attentive Kentlands Mansion's staff. A special thanks goes out to Antonia who worked with us in the weeks leading up to our wedding to work out the placement of chairs and tables and the day-of to ensure we kept to our planned timeline and that vendor deliveries arrived on time. The weather was sunny and cool, which allowed us to use the side of the mansion for our ceremony, which had plenty of space for guests and featured a lovely fountain at the front. The mansion's grounds are made beautiful by the lush greenery and flowers that they have planted, and the inside features a rotating collection of artwork from local artists. We also liked that we were able to open up the side of the porch to let the cool evening breeze into the dining and dance area.

Top Notch Wedding

Our wedding was so wonderful!! Kentlands has beautiful scenery, is comfortable and we could not have chosen it better.
We wanted to get married at the beginning of Summer and have an outdoor ceremony. We visited countless places, but none had att the attributes of Kentlands. One of our priorities was the outdoors ceremony, bridal suite, and the price. We wanted to keep it within budget and we were able. Plus we had all that was important to us.
I could not recommend more!! We had our rehearsal there, on the last walkthrough the staff were super patient and nice to us. We asked lots of questions and we were able to have our wedding just as we planned.
We are so happy that we had the chance to perform our ceremony and reception at Kentlands. If you are looking for a place that is beautiful, comfortable and perfect, stay with Kentlands Mansion :)

Big Birthday Bash that felt like a wedding!

I know this is a wedding site but I had a big 60th birthday bash here (that felt like a wedding so that is why I am posting here). The venue and the staff were amazing! We had 70 guests and the event was a huge success. We had it catered by Putting on the Ritz and music was provided by DJ Gee Dubs. The entire Kentlands staff was very organized and responsive from the initial meeting to the event itself. I highly recommend the Kentlands Mansion for a wedding or any other event. First class!

Great place for memorable events

Kentlands was the perfect place for our micro wedding during pandemic. it offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces with different timeframe options. Staffs were friendly and helpful throughout the whole event. It offers a plenty of parking spaces for guests. Our wedding was supposed to be outside, but it was 50s on the memorial day weekend. No problem as we had the whole mansion to ourselves for the ceremony, small refreshment and pictures.

Finding Joy during a Pandemic

When planning a wedding during a pandemic, you need people who will keep you calm and focused throughout the process, and that’s just what I got when I had my micro-wedding at Kentlands Mansion. From the beginning, Lisa’s enthusiasm about the space during the tour sold my fiancé and I on the location. While we were originally hoping for 50, with the continued Montgomery County Restrictions we knew that wouldn’t be possible. Lisa reached out regularly with updates and when we found out we could have a small gathering of 25 on our original date, we jumped at the opportunity. Lisa helped coordinate all details, offering advice on everything from catering options to place settings. On the day of, Melissa and Antonia were amazing! They listened as I hastily asked their assistance in setting up and they even made sure my wedding photos highlighted key backdrops at the mansion. The staff at Kentlands is fantastic and I would gladly have an event there again. (Just not during a pandemic).

Highly recommend, excellent experience.

From start to finish the experience was fabulous. We hosted the wedding for our niece that lives out of town. Everyone at Kentland's Mansion worked with us to make sure the bride and groom's special day was just as they envisioned. The day of the wedding it was sprinkling and the staff of Kentland's Mansion was up to the uncertainty of having the ceremony outside or
inside. With the well kept grounds the wedding pictures are breathtaking. The new couple even got away for a few minutes to take pictures by the lake. We highly recommend this venue. First class all the way!!

Beautiful Venue for a small gathering

We hosted our daughter’s baby shower in this beautiful elegant mansion. The place is amazing and has a beautiful front lawn. The staff was extremely helpful and very accommodative. Lisa worked with us and she was very responsive to all our numerous emails. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is planning to have in a small gathering for 100+ guest. This is a perfect beautiful place.

Unique, Beautiful Venue!

I hosted my bridal shower here in this beautiful venue. The guests were in awe of the space! It's a unique venue with different rooms you may utilize in whatever way you see fit. Although we stayed indoors, there is a beautiful front lawn as well as a quaint side garden. The staff is courteous and a pleasure to work with. Everything went smoothly for the day-of. I'm sure 'the Mansion' would be perfect for any event in your wedding celebration and otherwise (bridal shower; engagement party; ceremony, reception, birthday parties, etc.) This place is definitely a must-see!!!

Charm in the City

The Mansion was decorated head to toe in Holiday fashion for our formal Christmas party. This allowed more room in our budget that we used towards food and beverage. The staff also allowed us to drop off items a day before at no additional charge. It was a perfect venue for a formal event just around the corner.

Bride and groom

The Kentlands mansion was the best venue to have our wedding on it in October 2019 . The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure that we had the experience of a lifetime . They were very helpful and always got back to us in a timely manner . I am very happy that we chose to have our wedding here not only was the staff amazing, but the scenery was absolutely breathtaking . My husband and I live in Florida currently, but if we are ever in that area again we will be having events in the future there.

Amazing venue with Amazing staff

The staff at Kentlands Mansion is beyond amazing. Lisa worked with us during the planning stages and was incredibly responsive to all of our many questions. We toured the venue multiple times so that we could show it off to family members visiting from out of town and the staff was so accommodating. On the day of our wedding the staff went above and beyond for us. There was a mix up with our catering and Meghan and Melissa stepped up to make sure that it was straightened out; I (the bride) didn't find out about the situation until after the ceremony and there was already a solution in place. Nothing but Amazing!!!

As a wedding photographer this place is nothing but magical. Their attention to detail and eagerness to help is hands down one of the best places for a wedding or any event. Everywhere I turned was just yet another great place to photography my couple. From the balcony to Cherry Blossom trees, the historic mansion, oh did I mention the wooded walk down to a lake. I was having idea overload and could have stayed there all day. I so look forward to shoot another wedding there soon. Thanks for taking care of me, my staff and my couple as if we were family.

Kentlands Mansion was lovely

My daughter had her wedding here. The staff was easy to work with and always responsive to any concerns. The venue itself is charming and elegant. We had a nice weather and used the garden for the ceremony and the inside area for the reception. The mansion is beautiful and guests can also enjoy the art. The price was reasonable also. It was a wonderful choice for the day!

Kentlands Mansion was the perfect venue!

Kentlands Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding! We knew we wanted to host our wedding at Kentlands when we first saw it. We wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor-outdoor wedding and it worked out beautifully the day of. The venue is gorgeous inside and outside which allowed us to save on our decor budget. And the fact that the space serves as an art gallery was an added bonus.

The Mansion is also affordable and allowed us to bring in the vendors we wanted to use, which was also cost savings. And the staff was the best! They were very responsive and accommodating. The day of, they were super helpful and just as joyful as we were. We loved working with Lisa and the team.

If you are looking for a venue to host a medium size wedding, up to 110 people, consider Kentlands Mansion. Our 90 guests had an amazing time - thank you!

Kentlands Mansion - Wedding Review

Kentlands Mansion was the PERFECT venue for our September wedding! First, the staff at Kentlands are amazing -- they are reliable, easy to work with, flexible, and will go above and beyond to help you make your wedding day dreams. We got married during the week of Hurricane Florence and were very concerned about weather-related issues, but Terri and her team reassured us that they would stay open regardless of the weather. Moreover, Terri and her team provided great recommendations for other vendors, including our DJ and caterer. Overall, it was an amazing experience at a beautiful venue and I'm very thankful for the staff at Kentlands!

A great fall wedding venue

Had our wedding here on October 21st, and everything went really well.
1. Guests (of which we had about 75) really liked the venue--in the sense that it was convenient (easy to find/park), aesthetically pleasing, and great for food, drink, dance, and socializing. The layout is nicely conducive to giving guests multiple spaces to do what they want (e.g., we had a few cocktail tables and games for people to play on the heated, covered porch).
2. As wedding venues go, it was quite affordable, especially because the mansion itself requires little additional decor and tables/chairs are included (both for the ceremony and the reception; you pay for linen rentals, but those are reasonably priced).
3. The Kentlands Mansion staff were very helpful throughout our preparations, especially our day-of coordinator, Lisa Kim, who helped a great deal with getting all the little details ready before guests arrived. As an aside, we also worked with Green Plate Catering and Roman Grinev Photography, and there didn't seem to be any coordination problems between them and the folks at Kentlands Mansion.
4. Most importantly, my wife and I loved the venue--it was the perfect place for the outdoor fall ceremony we wanted. Everything went swimmingly, and everyone left happy.

Perfect for Wedding Ceremonies

This place was exact;y what we were looking for. It is very charming and perfect for the wedding ceremony. We were a little sad that we could not do it outside due to the rain, but the staff quickly moved everything inside and we still had a really beautiful wedding ceremony. Beautiful venue with easy to work with management

We had our engagement celebration (for 50 people) organized at Kentlands Mansion and it was an amazing evening and great experience. We worked with Susan and Kristy and they were both great. Kristy was very helpful even at the day of the event. Everything was very professional and all the rules and conditions were clearly stated beforehand. We are happy we chose Kentlands Mansion and we may be back to host another events in the future!

I usually don't give 5/5 ratings unless everything was perfect -- well everything was absolutely perfect and that's all thanks to the Kentlands Mansion staff, especially Lisa! She was so wonderful to work with! She was thorough with her questions and attention to detail. Lisa was patient with us and worked to get us what we wanted! The venue, with its amazing ambience is just a beautiful and special place. The multiple rooms worked out great. The staff helped the caterer and us make sure everything went right. The day was beautiful so we could have the ceremony outdoors which is a beautiful setting. Everything was perfect!

We are so glad we had our wedding here! The price is very affordable, the staff is incredibly responsive and full of ideas based on other events held there... and you can even get tables and chairs through them for FAR less than through a rental company or caterer! I love that it's different from your typical ballroom space... the different rooms, furniture and art on the walls made it feel like we were just throwing the best house party of our lives! Natausha was our on-site person and she was so helpful!

For the ceremony we would have had it outside but it rained so our plan B was actually in the smaller "music" room rather than the more typical "yellow" room choice. It was a great option for our more intimate ceremony of 30 people.

For the reception, we opted for a cocktail/open-seating style reception rather than a traditional plated dinner & I think that is the best route to take with this venue, especially if you want to maximize the space and get a few more people in (they told us for seated the space could do 110 and 150 for cocktail... we wound up with about 130 reception guests after our small ceremony and it was perfect the way we had it set up.) We had various size cocktail and bistro tables in the music room and covered patio with a bar out there as well, & another bar in the parlor room & a "lounge" with a sofa/chair setup &couple more cocktails in the yellow room. We utilized the dining room for a buffet. During the cocktail and dinner portion of the evening we hired a singing piano player to play on the piano that is there at the mansion and kept it there by the stairs. He performed as we did our entrance down the stairs & we had our first dance right there at the bottom of the steps.... overall a PERFECT setup! I think you can really get creative with this space and make a special and unique event. Guests are still raving about the flow and venue!

I was married at Kentlands Mansion on 9/4/16 and everything turned out beautifully! Honestly I experienced some buyer's remorse when my guest list grew beyond expectation and I realized that I would need to sit some guests on the canopy porch for dinner. My fear was that those folks may feel slighted that they were not seating inside the house. Those fears (like most any fear) were a waste of energy. I got no sense that those guests felt any type of negativity. There was actually a guest I seated in the music room who commented that they wanted to sit on the canopy porch.
My ceremony was held in the side garden. A forecast of potential thunderstorms the week of the wedding was disappointing, but fortunately the weather was great - God's answers prayers! :) I would suggest that brides consider how strongly they feel about having an outdoor wedding and if they want to deal with weather worry before selecting any outdoor venue. I will also note that the entire side garden is not shaded. About 15% of my guests had to use the programs to shade their eyes during the ceremony. Overall, Kentlands Mansion has charm and personality, is beautiful for pics and the staff is awesome. It was perfect for the size of my wedding (75 people) and the budget. In my opinion, this venue is better suited for weddings of 85 guests or less.

We loved having the ceremony in the small garden with the grass and trees and the banquet and dancing in the stately mansion with the original art work on the walls. The staff was helpful and gracious and we were able to store the wine and beer in the basement 2 days before to make things easier for us on the day of the wedding. We would absolutely recommend this venue with no reservations.

Kentlands Mansion is lovely venue for a reception. There are three main rooms where your guests will be seated and one of them is a covered porch. They have a limit of 110 guests but I think that makes it too crowded for a reception. I had 74 guests and with that I still had one table on the porch where guests had to climb over chairs to get to their seats. This problem might have been something I caused by my choices of table layout in the three rooms. If you have more than a few tables in the main room and want to dance then those table will have to be removed and your guests will need to sit elsewhere. I rented the mansion's linens and thought they looked perfect. The staff was the real selling point, especially Terri. They always responded to emails and phone calls promptly and were extremely pleasant and helpful. Even last minute requests were honored with such a positive attitude. We were extremely happy with this choice for our venue. They even provided me with a list of vendors familiar with the mansion and I found 4 excellent vendors from that list. There is plenty of parking although it may require some guests to walk a short block or two. I would recommend this vendor highly but would caution you regarding the maximum of 110 guests for a seated reception.

We rented the Kentlands Mansion for our daughter's engagement party. Everything was wonderful and the guests loved the venue. It is a neighborhood gem, as I live in the community and was happy to be able to have it here. Abby was wonderful to work with, professional, responsive and attentive. The venue is perfect for a party like this. The bar was in one room, the food buffet in another and we had two more rooms plus an outdoor front porch and back porch area for our guests to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. The staff put out two signs for us, both welcoming and congratulating my daughter and future son in law. It is a place warm with personality and we are lucky enough to have it basically right in our own backyard so to speak!

I was amazed at how affordable Kentlands Mansion was... and how much "bang" I got for my buck!

I was married June 13, 2015. Kentlands was the first and only venue my fiance visited, because we absolutely fell in love with the mansion and knew it was PERFECT for us. Leading up to the wedding, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and absolutely engaged (no pun intended). They provided the set up of the chairs for the ceremony outside, as well as set up all the tables and chairs inside for the reception, and had a member on staff available from start to finish the day of to make sure I didn't have to stress about ANYTHING. She coordinated with my caterer and the other vendors so that I didn't have to tell anyone where to go or what to do - at most, I just answered a few last minute questions from the caterer about where I wanted specific directions. I couldn't have asked for a better venue for my big day.

I recently had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Kentlands Mansion. I am more than pleased with how everything turned out. From the start, the customer service was excellent. We had a tour of the house and very good explanation/suggestion of how things could work. The ladies that managed the place were always very helpful and accommodating making sure that the plans for that day were exactly as I requested. Price-wise, it was very accessible. The only thing that I wish was different is that they don't allow in house cooking. We had to accommodate with the caterer so that the food was already prepared and just ready to hear at the venue. Other than that, I would definitively recommend the mansion. The area is quiet and nice for an outdoor ceremony and the inside is very picturesque for the reception.

The Kentlands Mansion was a beautiful, poignant, and affordable wedding venue. The inside and surrounding of the Mansion make for a beautiful backdrop for photos. The Mansion also tremendously benefits from having Terri as a program coordinator; she was there throughout the wedding planning process to help us understand how our vision can fit with what Kentlands Mansion offers. She was awesome! We had about 80 guests, which we thought was a perfect size especially since we wanted to have a dance floor. The bridal room upstairs was also very sweet and was a nice place to relax before and after the ceremony. The three rooms were a bit tricky for our guests to hear the toasts, but overall I think the guests really enjoyed the Mansion and what it had to offer (it was particularly good that the dancing room was somewhat separated from other rooms for those who wanted to converse without shouting at each other). Our only wish was that Terri was there for our wedding day (the venue has other weekend specific coordinator who wasn't as good as Terri). We found ourselves having to coordinate more than what we hoped for, but overall it was a wonderful place to have our wedding!

When searching for a venue for my engagement party on 10/19 of this year, I was looking for something different than your typical hotel reception hall. The Kentlands Mansion was a hidden gem in the comfort of my neighborhood. It was everything I was looking for - elegance, with a touch of a historic feel that we dreamed of. It was the first and only venue we looked at, and signed a contract immediately because we knew nothing could compare. I worked closely with Sydney Waclawick from the start. She was extremely professional, helpful, super responsive, and flexible throughout the planning process. We decided last minute (30 days before the event) to turn what was formerly an engagement to a wedding! The Kentlands Mansion coordinators were super accommodating to the change, and allowed us to schedule multiple walk throughs to help ease our stress in the last few weeks before the wedding. Sydney helped us create our vision of the perfect wedding based on her expertise on what worked and didn't work at the venue. Her straightforward approach is exactly what we needed to finalize all the details for a successful and beautiful wedding day! On the day of, she helped make sure everything was running smoothly from start to finish. The Kentlands Mansion is incredibly unique in terms of how involved the coordinators are with each and every event that takes place there. The wedding turned out beautifully, and it exceeded anything I could have dreamed of. Our guests had only positive feedback about the set up and how the different rooms in the mansion added to the flow if our event - from the entrance on the outside lawn, to the reception area in the Yellow Room, to the dining space in the Music Room and the porch. Everyone felt they could move around freely and enjoy every aspect of the wedding without feeling restricted to a given seat. We would highly recommend the Kentlands Mansion to our friends and family for hosting their special day! Our wedding was a fairytale!!!!

We hosted a cocktail party for our son and daughter-in-law after their wedding in Scotland. The Mansion was a beautiful setting for the event. Terri and the other staff were vey professional and extremely helpful. They were very responsive in answering all my questions. They took care of all the details from table selections, to set up and clean up. We couldn't have been more pleased. The staff and the Kentlands Mansion could not have been more helpful. The coordinator the night of our event was AMAZING! She made sure that everything went exactly as planned and even went above and beyond when things were needed so that we did not have to leave our guests.

The Kentland Mansion was a superb facility for our wedding and reception. The staff were extremely helpful and all of our guests loved the venue. It has several rooms so guests can be in quiet places to the dance space. The heated, covered porch was an excellent space for a social hour between the wedding and reception. The facility is well maintained and reasonably priced compared to other local venues.

The mansion is a beautiful historic home which is what 1st appealed to us. What sold us on having our ceremony and reception was the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and were very eager to make sure YOU were happy. We recommend the Kentlands Mansion every chance we get!!

My husband and I were married at the Kentlands Mansion in June of 2010. Right from the start the mansion staff made the planning process a dream! Kristy, the mansion director, gave us wonderful suggestions for our photographer, caterer, and DJ. The mansion is not only beautiful on the inside, but is gorgeous on the outside as well. It's the perfect place for any event. We had about 100 guests and the mansion helped make our wedding the intimate affair we envisioned. Sabine, the weekend manager, made sure the venue was set-up exactly as we had requested. She was adaptable to last minute change and worked behind the scenes to make our entire evening a complete success and I was able to enjoy myself as well! The ambiance of the mansion impressed all of our guests and they are still talking about it even after the event.

I had my wedding last month at Kentlands- it was incredible! The staff is wonderfully helpful and the location is beautiful. The price couldn't be better either! They provide a lot of necessities like tables and chairs, but give you the freedom to book things like the caterer without having to chose from a list of people they use or an in house caterer. This is a major plus! We had 100 guests at our wedding. The seperate rooms my seem like a negative, but it actually works out great because people can mingle around without being "stuck" near the dj/ dance floor if they don't want to be. I booked over a year in advance to be sure I got my day, but I think you could book a little later especially if you were flexible on your date. Thank you- thank you Kentlands! I highly recommend!

We are so happy we chose Kentlands Mansion for our wedding, and can't recommend it highly enough. We found the mansion to be a much better value than similar venues in the area, and the grounds and building are beautifully maintained. The staff were very easy to work with, and easily accommodated several eleventh-hour changes to seating layouts, additional tables, timeframes, etc. We were also able to rent linens from them. They often have art and photography exhibits going on throughout the mansion, so be sure to check with them to see what may be on display. You won't be disappointed.

The Kentlands Mansion was a beautiful venue and perfect for our wedding. The staff we worked with (Lisa and Teresa primarily) were responsive to my (many!) questions, and worked with us a lot to make sure our floorplan would be perfect. The venue itself is gorgeous, and we're looking forward to seeing our photos with this beautiful backdrop. The location was perfect -- quiet but well-located for our guests to get to, and plenty of vendors like flower and hair/makeup in the area. We loved having our wedding at the Kentlands.

This place is just very elegant and beautiful. I love how little decoration is needed since the local artist painting give it a special touch. I was grateful how responsive and helpful the staff was. The day of the wedding it rain and they had checked with me the day before to try and figure out if I still wanted an outdoors wedding in the garden or should they go head and move it inside. Since I wanted an outdoors wedding I asked If I could let them know the day of, to see if the weather changed. Unfortunately it rained and afterward was very sticky and humid and extremely hot. I was so glad we chose to have it inside. Also the price are affordable compare to other venues I had checked which were ridiculous overpriced for few hours.

I loved the assistance on the day-of the wedding. Someone was there to help guide the vendors around. Definitely very intimate ceremony/reception spot!

Beautiful venue for a wedding AND reception. We had our ceremony outside in the side garden, and then our reception inside. Definitely a smaller place, so plan for no more than 75 guests or so. Staff was very helpful and understanding, and the mansion is set up perfect for weddings. Price was great, and location couldn't have been better!

Lovely venue for Celebration of Life

When our mother passed away, our father mentioned he'd been to a lovely Celebration of Life at Kentlands Mansion, so we checked it out, and decided to hold a similar event in our mother's honor there. Kentlands was wonderful on all fronts. The staff were helpful, responsive and easy to work with. Catering ended up much less expensive and easy to coordinate. The space was plenty big for our maximum capacity crowd, even though it was a damp and chilly day so we didn't use the outside areas (we opted for an Open House format for the event, so people could come and go over the course of several hours). Everyone remarked what a lovely setting it was, and how much our mother would have loved to be there

Beautiful venue!

Such a pretty venue to host a pre wedding event. Professional staff and they were very detailed and thorough! We did several walk through and they were extremely accommodating!

Just one little thing that was inconvenient was that they didn't have trash bin on site. It is up to the caterer to dispose trash.

Great Place for Intimate Wedding

Just held my wedding at the Kentlands Mansion a week ago and it was the perfect venue for our celebration. We had about 65 people and the ceremony was in the outdoor side garden which is a beautiful space for a wedding this size. From the first visit to the day of the event, the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. They provided helpful hints, example layouts and anything else we needed. The bridal suite was perfect for my bride squad to get ready and relax before the ceremony. The art displayed on the walls changes periodically and makes for a unique and elegant decor. All we had to do was bring some flowers and greenery and the place spoke for itself. I would highly recommend the Kentlands for any special event but especially intimate weddings. We will have so many wonderful pictures and memories!

Lovely Summer Wedding at Kentlands Mansion

We loved using Kentlands Mansion. It is an elegant venue with a homey feel. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Because this was a house in past time, there are several rooms so guests have different options for socializing and sitting. I consider this a plus rather than finding your chair in a big hall and being there for the rest of the day. The bride and groom were ecstatic about how their wedding turned out.

We had an amazing time at Kentlands Mansion for our wedding. Terri Izquierdo (our day of coordinator) had been nothing but welcoming, friendly, and helpful. There were scattered thunderstorms forecasted for our ceremony, and she quickly gathered and assembled our wedding party so we finished our ceremony and just barely missed the rain by just a few minutes! The only small issues we would say we had were the restrictions given that Kentlands Mansion is a historic site. As a result, you're not allowed to serve red wine unless you pay an additional fee (due to stains), and any candles/votives need a 4'' clearance from the top, which ruled out the traditional 2'' votives that our caterers had. But other than that, it really is a beautiful venue with some great photo opportunities (lawn, nearby lake, balcony, etc) and great and responsive staff. We would highly recommend this site (especially for Gaithersburg residents since you get a residency discount)

Wonderful venue. The only things that bothered me was that we had to split the guests into 2 rooms and that we couldn't hang any decorations (though understandable). It was beautiful though, with the ceremony taking place on a gorgeous day. The staff was very friendly and helpful (shoutout to Lisa!).

If you are having a small wedding I highly suggest Kentlands Mansion. This was a 2nd marriage for us so we had 40 guests. We were able to have the ceremony outside and dinner inside the paneled room, cocktails in the yellow room, which was bright and light with all the windows. The caterer we used was familiar with the kitchen and staff and was pleased to work with them. There are time constraints so if you want to party late into the night this is not for you. Loved every moment of our ceremony and reception.

Excellent and reasonably priced venue that I rented for my wedding recently. Has great space for both an outdoor and indoor ceremony set up. Anna, our facility supervisor on the day of, was very accommodating and helpful with getting us what we need (e.g. extra chairs, tables, iPod speakers). Upstairs there are two big rooms for getting ready and a nice balcony for photo ops. Would do it all over again!

The Kentlands Mansion was the perfect venue for our summer wedding. We had our ceremony in the side garden, which was intimate and beautifully landscaped. The reception was inside and the different rooms are decorated beautifully with changing artwork displays. We had approximately 90 guests and the separate rooms worked well to have our guests mingling and taking advantage of the space. The staff was extremely helpful and always responded very promptly to my emails. The site manager the day of the wedding was incredibly sweet and helpful. They allow you to choose your own vendors and purchase alcohol, which kept the cost down. The venue is a great value compared to other similar sites in the area, and we were really pleased with holding our wedding there.

I LOVED having my wedding at Kentlands Mansion. I had a cocktail style dinner followed by dancing for my reception. I think this setup worked great since the venue does have small rooms and it would be hard for to seat everyone at once for a formal dinner.

The staff were amazing to work with. They were completely on the ball and incredibly helpful throughout the process. We wound up with rain the entire week before the wedding and some drizzling the morning of. They were proactive about reaching out for to discuss Plan B (rain plan) in further detail. Their staff were incredibly helpful on the day off even though I had my own Day of Coordinator.

My only "cons" regarding the venue are things that we knew before signing the contract and were willing to accept. Such as the strict no red wine rule, or the relatively early shut-down time at the end of the night (venue is in a residential area).

I loved my venue, my guests thought it was beautiful, and I'd pick Kentlands again if I had to do the whole thing over.

We had our ceremony and reception at this lovely mansion. We were looking for an intimate affair for our 85 guests and this place fit the bill! We loved spreading ourselves out over some smaller rooms vs. being in one big room. The service from beginning to end was excellent.

Kentlands was absolutely beautiful, and was a great buy. It's owned by the City of Gaithersburg. Residents can rent it very inexpensively, and for non-residents it's $1500. The only catch is that there's an additional $250 or so if you want to serve alcohol. The director and staff helped me figure out a wedding timeline and organize seating arrangements. They really worked hard to meet my needs and accomodate the fact that I could not make it into the location to do things "on-site" before the wedding. The Kentlands area is beautiful and the mansion is gorgeous. My guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was and what a nice place we'd chosen for our wedding.

They have a large caters kitchen, bride and groom "dressing" rooms, a spacious outdoor porch, artfully landscaped gardens, and plenty of space for dining and dancing. It's an ideal setting for a smaller wedding (less than 100), and provides a wonderfully intimate setting for family events.

A Dream Wedding at Kentlands Mansion

We recently had our wedding at Kentlands Mansion, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—elegant, charming, and full of character. It provided the perfect backdrop for our special day.

The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process and on the day of the event. They were always responsive to our questions and made sure everything ran smoothly. We had just over 100 guests, and the space was perfect—comfortable and intimate without feeling crowded.

One of the best parts was how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the level of service and the stunning setting. We truly felt like we got great value for our money.

If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines beauty, professionalism, and affordability, we highly recommend Kentlands Mansion!

Wonderful wedding venue for a small wedding 40-50

Antonia, who handled all our many questions was fabulous. The private rooms upstairs allows for space to occupy overtired children, to dress, and do makeup.

The team was incredibly accommodating and made the entire planning process so much easier during such a short timeline. Antonia was an absolute lifesaver—she went above and beyond to ensure that my vision came to life. Her dedication and attention to detail meant the world to me.

The Kentlands Mansion is an absolutely wonderful venue for a wedding we just had an abolutely divine wedding there. One has to bear in mind that it is state or government owned so it is only open between 9 am and 4 pm M-F, which can be difficult if you work full time. There are also many rules and regulations that you need to be aware of, so it is good to read the contract thoroughly prior to setting your day. Despite the rules, the team at Kentlands provided the best service possible, for example, as the timing is limited to 8 hours, I needed help placing all the flower decorations in the mansion, the staff helped me with that as I did not have a planner or other friends to help me, so that was great. They also allowed me in the day prior (as there was no event the night before our wedding) to decorate the stairs. For a small intimate wedding this is the place! We were very happy to have our entire wedding at the Kentlands Mansion.

The Kentlands Mansion is a great place to have your wedding ceremony and reception. It is a one stop shop; beautiful location, rentals available, assistance with anything you need, coordinator provided on the big day. The price is great for Gaithersburg residents. They help you plan for an outdoor ceremony, but if there is inclement weather, there is also a plan for having the ceremony indoors.

The space is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. The staff was very helpful, the spaces for getting ready were perfect, and there's a side garden where you can have a private, romantic ceremony. Only downsides were that the space is broken up into several small rooms, so it was difficult to have speeches when there were 130 guests, and they do not allow red wine or candles (unless the candle is in a giant glass container).
