We recently celebrated our wedding on October 18, 2025, and chose the Marriott Publisher Hotel in Fredericksburg, VA for our stay and room block. It was one of the best decisions we made. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful — polished, modern, and thoughtfully designed — but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the team. Every staff member we encountered was gracious, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our weekend perfect. They seamlessly accommodated early check-ins for our bridal party and guests, ensured our welcome bags were delivered without a hitch, and always greeted us with warmth and congratulations every time we walked through the lobby. Our suite was spotless, spacious, and felt like a peaceful retreat amid the joyful chaos of wedding events. Our guests raved about their rooms, the comfort of the beds, and the level of service they received. It felt like every detail was handled with care. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but staying at the Marriott Publisher gave us peace of mind and a luxury experience that amplified the magic of our celebration. We are deeply grateful for the incredible hospitality we received, and we will always remember the way this hotel helped set the tone for a perfect weekend. Our event in the Heritage Ballroom was well beyond our expectation and the service was impeccable. The rooms were well-appointed. Toi, our sales professional really made our life so easy. I highly recommend Hotel Heron!

The perfect hosts and setting for our intimate wedding! The Darcy ensured that our wedding was incredible, and they blew us away! Mia Thoresen, The Darcy's sensational Senior Catering Sales Manager, listened attentively and patiently to deliver a truly memorable experience for us and our 80 guests. All phases of our wedding took place at the venue (welcome reception, ceremony, happy hour, brunch) and working with Mia was so easy and relaxed. The Darcy was very flexible and accommodating on the many details and decisions, from food, to timing, to venue, to guest housing. We are so thankful to Mia and The Darcy for helping us curate and deliver the wedding of our dreams!

Great experience, I highly recommend if you want good quality and do not want to deal with a lot of different vendors. Everyone provided great comments about the food and the facts that everything flowed well

The staff and the catering manager at the Embassy Suites were a joy to work with. Everything was beautiful and our guest had a great time. I can't wait to go back for our Five-year anniversary celebration.

We had our wedding reception at the Fairmont Hotel on 7/27/24 and it was truly the best day ever. Everything about it was a dream - the Colonnade Room was a fairytale setting for dinner and dancing. We are still hearing from our friends and family about the food, ambiance, and service. Kiera is AMAZING. She was the point person throughout the entire wedding planning process. She is responsive, flexible, patient, friendly, and just so, so easy to work with. All of the vendors we hired loved her too! We highly recommend!

I booked this venue initially because it was a massive venue for an amazing cost. The catering was so amazingly priced per person as well and as you all know, weddings get expensive really fast so I feel like we got a good bang for our buck with their prices. We worked the past few months with Michelle as our main contact point, and I can’t praise her enough. She was so patient with my 5000+ emails and questions and answered so quickly. She last minute even finagled better and very beautiful, more elaborate tablecloths for my event. Michelle even participated with the rehearsal and helped coordinate that as well as with the ceremony the next day (which was above and beyond for what she needed to do). She made my wedding feel personal, and not just like another wedding. Rene, the banquet manager, and the rest of the staff were also beyond amazing! They worked tirelessly the whole day before setting up and then the night of my wedding. I couldn’t even begin to nitpick anything wrong with them. We are beyond grateful to have chosen this venue and would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a venue with a large space and amazing workers. I think they’re renovating the space next year so it’ll be even more amazing!

We had a wonderful experience for my son's wedding at the Westin. i would like to give high praise to Ifra, who handled every detail with the utmost professionalism. She followed the bouncing balls and never made us feel uneasy about anything. Ifra made sure that it was a spectacular evening for all of us. She is simply put...AWESOME in our book. The front desk handled the influx of out of town guest with a smile and executed everyones reservations without issue. There were no complaints at all...everyone was very pleased with the staff and venue. A wonderful and memorable weekend, mostly due to Ifra! Thanks everyone! Anne Fallon

We had such a great experience working with the Westin Georgetown team. The pictures online do not do this venue justice, it is absolutely stunning and it’s great to have the flexibility of different spaces to hold different parts of the wedding. We were very lucky with the weather on our special day and were able to use the courtyard, which was gorgeous and our guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful the hotel and spaces were. We really enjoyed working with Jordan and her team. The food was excellent. We appreciated the chef’s willingness to work with us on some special guest requests and the service was impeccable! The value was amazing and we would highly recommend to anyone consider considering! The presidential suite was also a perfect place to get ready and made us feel like superstars. 10/10!
