Facilities and Capacity
The Astor Ballroom boasts elements of Enlightenment-era, Venetian design throughout its architecture and can host up to 300 guests. Those seeking an outdoor space can express and celebrate their commitment to each other on the Astor Terrace. A large area, up to 250 individuals can join you in your felicitations. The patio itself is enclosed within ornate fencing and planted with blooming vegetation and lush shrubbery. This outside space thus continues the refinement present in the architectural design of the building’s interior. To make this courtyard and patio larger, a tent can be constructed on the Astor Pavillion. Dressing rooms are available for you and your wedding party to prepare in style for the big day. During your rehearsal dinner, you can enjoy fine Italian, Grecian, and Spanish dishes in the Alhambra. For your wedding shower, you may use one of their smaller conference rooms, also suitable for wedding luncheons and brunches.
An excellent wedding can begin with advice and guidance from an excellent wedding planner. At the St. Regis Washington D.C. their event specialists help you plan and organize the many details of your wedding. This may include arranging vendors or brainstorming design ideas. For the cuisine, menus are customized with their talented chefs to create a selection of dishes that appeal to your tastes.
Within the St. Regis Washington D.C. are 172 rooms of style and comfort. The crowning glory of these is the Presidential Suite which boasts two bedrooms and a library. Absolutely incredible wedding!
The St. Regis was absolutely the perfect choice for our wedding!!!Sent on 10/03/2019
We worked with Elisabeth who went above and beyond throughout the planning process to make sure we had everything we wanted on our wedding day. She handled all of our concerns and helped put this sometimes anxious bride at ease! The day itself was flawless in terms of execution, my husband and I were able to relax and we came back to our room that night and enjoyed delicious chocolate-dipped strawberries and champagne! Her team also recreated a custom wedding cake design that we wanted and it was absolutely beautiful!
The venue itself is stunning and was perfect for our vision of a ballroom wedding with a lovely outdoor space for our cocktail hour. The lighting provided by the St. Regis for our reception made our wedding feel like an intimate, candlelight dinner with all of our closest friends and family. The ballroom is the perfect size to feel close to all of our guests while still preserving some intimacy.
The food for our reception was absolutely incredible. It's nothing like typical wedding food and in fact it's on par with or better than the food I've had at high-end restaurants. The service was also incredible and no guest ever had an empty wine glass!
If you're looking for excellent food and service and want the convenience of a hotel wedding but with the feel of a very intimate dinner, definitely choose the St. Regis!

Perfect Wedding Venue!
Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue! I had my black-tie wedding at the St. Regis this December and it was perfection. Guests raved about the elegant decor, the amazing food, and the exceptional white-glove service.Sent on 01/09/2019
I had my dinner in the Astor Ballroom and my cocktail hour/dance floor in the Astor Terrance, which worked out perfectly for my 200 guests. The separate dinner/dance floor area added elegance to the wedding. I checked out every venue in D.C. and this was absolutely the best choice.
Working with Elisabeth was a joy - she was so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process, especially given that I do not live in D.C.
I could not have asked for a better wedding day and HIGHLY recommend this venue to brides.

We stumbled on the St. Regis and absolutely loved it. Even though it was a few blocks form our apartment, we felt like we were on a luxury vacation. Elisabeth was a fantastic coordinator, and everything was very easy to plan. We used both the ballroom and the Astor Terrace.Sent on 11/15/2018
The St. Regis is simply a gorgeous hotel! Love the services, staff and location.
Being a Washington, D.C.-area videographer - I have on many occasions covered weddings and other events at this very special venue. It is elegant in every way, from the building and décor to the warm and cordial greetings of bellhop or hotel porter. Memorable are the fall weddings where the ceremony was held in the outdoor area with the guests coming in after the cocktail hour for dinner and dancing. The ballroom is not very large but for a smaller to medium sized guest list – it is cozy, warm and inviting. What can I say? It’s a special place! The staff is always very helpful to me – as a vendor I really appreciate this. I can’t wait to be back again this year to make another memorable keepsake video for a client who held their wedding or special event at the St. Regis.
Alway on the top of their task. Highly recommended.
