    A dream wedding experience!

My husband and I got married at The St. Regis in October of 2024. The ballroom, terrace, and lobby are all absolutely stunning. All 3 spaces are so unique and we fell in love with them as soon as we stepped foot in the venue. We worked with Laila as our venue coordinator and she was absolutely phenomenal! She answered all of my questions promptly, asked us questions about the day that we didn't even think to consider, and was so incredibly kind throughout the planning process but ESPECIALLY on our wedding weekend. She greeted us and helped us check in the day before our wedding, was one of the first faces I saw on the morning of the wedding, and was tending to me all day (something way out of her job description).

On our wedding day, the food was phenomenal, the staff were all so kind, and the day ran smoother than I ever could have imagined. We cannot recommend The St. Regis enough!

    Beautiful, elegant and perfect

Our original wedding venue canceled on us. We were one of the first weddings to take place post Covid and St. Regis really delivered for us last minute.
Susan was helpful from start to finish. The staff and overall experience was something you expect from a historical and high end hotel like the Regis. The whole event was seamless, not a detail was overlooked. We look back on the day and are so happy we went with the Regis.

The perfect combination of elegance, service, and flexibility!

From beginning to end, the St. Regis was perfect and we couldn't have had a better experience. Unlike some of the other historic hotels in DC, the St. R only does one wedding per day - so you really feel like you have the whole facility for your guests and all of the spaces are beautiful. We loved that we could have the ceremony (outside on the Astor Terrace), the cocktail hour (in the beautiful historic lobby), and the reception (in the Astor Ballroom), while staying right upstairs (in a suite that comes as part of the package). It meant that we didn't have to worry about transportation or logistics between venues. Also, because the spaces themselves are already decorated, we didn't need to blow our budget on flowers and decor - small floral touches were all we needed.

We also enjoyed working with Elisabeth - she was always available and willing to 'tweak' the standard package. One of the things that made planning easy was that the 'standard package' came with quite a LOT; nice open bar, access to all spaces, delicious hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour, appetizer/entree/dessert/cake, and a suite for the night. Because all of that was part of the 'package,' we could focus on little details to make it 'unique' to us without having to worry about the basics.

They were always willing to work with us on the extra details - we had them do "champagne sabrage" (a St. Regis tradition, look it up on youtube), they made two signature cocktails to our recipes for our pre-ceremony, and even made a Slovakian family recipe for a late night snack!

Finally, a little background on us, we're a gay male couple who've been together for 14 years. The St. Regis was the perfect place for us - everyone treated us with absolute respect and kindness throughout the process. It was the perfect blend of elegance and top-notch service, all while being friendly and comfortable.

    An Unforgettable Wedding Venue

My husband and I looked at almost every wedding venue in the DMV and could not be happier that we decided on the St. Regis (after initially swearing off a hotel wedding!). We had our ceremony outside on the Astor Terrace, our cocktail hour in the lobby, our dinner in the Astor Ballroom, and our dancing on the Astor Terrace. We loved that we were able to incorporate both outdoor and indoor spaces into our wedding day (and we had a beautiful rain day plan, which we luckily did not need). On our wedding day, we received nothing but the best service. The food was fantastic and everything looked beautiful - we didn't have to add much decor on top of the already stunning St. Regis. Trust me when I say it's so much easier to have everything in one location - the getting ready, ceremony, reception, after-party, and sleeping all took place in the St. Regis.

It was great to work with Elisabeth and Susan, who are responsive and personable individuals and helped us reschedule our event multiple times due to COVID. Martin, the previous events coordinator, has since left the hotel.

    Absolutely incredible wedding!

The St. Regis was absolutely the perfect choice for our wedding!!!

We worked with Elisabeth who went above and beyond throughout the planning process to make sure we had everything we wanted on our wedding day. She handled all of our concerns and helped put this sometimes anxious bride at ease! The day itself was flawless in terms of execution, my husband and I were able to relax and we came back to our room that night and enjoyed delicious chocolate-dipped strawberries and champagne! Her team also recreated a custom wedding cake design that we wanted and it was absolutely beautiful!

The venue itself is stunning and was perfect for our vision of a ballroom wedding with a lovely outdoor space for our cocktail hour. The lighting provided by the St. Regis for our reception made our wedding feel like an intimate, candlelight dinner with all of our closest friends and family. The ballroom is the perfect size to feel close to all of our guests while still preserving some intimacy.

The food for our reception was absolutely incredible. It's nothing like typical wedding food and in fact it's on par with or better than the food I've had at high-end restaurants. The service was also incredible and no guest ever had an empty wine glass!

If you're looking for excellent food and service and want the convenience of a hotel wedding but with the feel of a very intimate dinner, definitely choose the St. Regis!

    Perfect Wedding Venue!

Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue! I had my black-tie wedding at the St. Regis this December and it was perfection. Guests raved about the elegant decor, the amazing food, and the exceptional white-glove service.

I had my dinner in the Astor Ballroom and my cocktail hour/dance floor in the Astor Terrance, which worked out perfectly for my 200 guests. The separate dinner/dance floor area added elegance to the wedding. I checked out every venue in D.C. and this was absolutely the best choice.

Working with Elisabeth was a joy - she was so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process, especially given that I do not live in D.C.

I could not have asked for a better wedding day and HIGHLY recommend this venue to brides.

    Wonderful experience

We stumbled on the St. Regis and absolutely loved it. Even though it was a few blocks form our apartment, we felt like we were on a luxury vacation. Elisabeth was a fantastic coordinator, and everything was very easy to plan. We used both the ballroom and the Astor Terrace.

A priority for the venue that we chose for our wedding was that it could stand on its own as a beautiful space before you even bring in florals and other design elements, and the St. Regis has style and beauty in spades. The perfection of the venue does not stop there. The food and wine was excellent – definitely not typical bulk-produced wedding fare – and they even accommodated a request for a special vegetarian option. But what stands out the most is the service. Everyone at the St. Regis wants to make sure that all of your needs are met, and everything about your event and your stay exceeds your expectations. No one exemplified this more than Elisabeth, our event manager. She was highly responsive to all of our questions and emails, and took the time to meet with us on several occasions, even accompanying us to the rental company to help select linens and chairs. Choosing St. Regis as a venue will guarantee that every facet of your event will be flawless.

The St. Regis went above and beyond in making my wedding spectacular. Everything, down to the tiniest detail, was perfection. Elisabeth was instrumental in ensuring everything ran smoothly and was extremely responsive from the moment we inquired about availability. No detail or question was too small. She knows what she is doing and is able to help with anything you might need. The food was divine - people are still raving about it. They were able to copy the intricate cake I wanted down to the detail and create a stunning groom's cake as well. The service was smooth and efficient during dinner service - no one was waiting for more than a minute to receive their food. Water and wine refills were plentiful throughout the night. Absolutely no complaints. Everything was as I dreamed, but better.

The St. Regis was absolutely perfect for our wedding. The venue is gorgeous. The staff (special should out to Susan!) was so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. I have celiac disease, and they made the whole weekend 100% gluten free for us! They even made our cake, custom decorated with a beautiful dragon on it! They'll give you the royal treatment!

We had our wedding at the St. Regis in late September and it could not have been more perfect. Throughout the months leading up to our wedding, Elisabeth and her team at the St. Regis were wonderful to work with and did everything they could to ensure that the planning process was as smooth and stress-free as possible. That ease carried over to the wedding weekend, as every detail was executed flawlessly -- the setting, the food, the service -- all were exceptional. We had an amazing time at our wedding and, months later, our guests continue to comment on so many of the smaller details that helped make the day stand out.

Having a wedding at St. Regis was always my dream and my husband and Elisabeth, who is a sales catering manager at St. Regis in DC made my dreams come true. My words cannot express my gratitude for Elisabeth and her staff. The venue was exquisite, food was excellent, unforgettable sliders of milkshakes and mini burgers which kept all my guests dancing all night. It was the perfect wedding and it's all thanks to St. Regis and Team Elisabeth. Elisabeth is a top-notch party organizer and manager who was there whenever you need some help. I am incredibly lucky to have her on aboard of my wedding journey. Until the last minute, she made me and my husband feel comfortable and safe as if she had everything under control. My wedding was one of the magical moments in which everything ran smoothly and everyone invited had so much fun. Thank you Elisabeth and Team St. Regis in DC.

We just had our wedding at the St. Regis this September. Elisabeth and the entire team at The St. Regis were such a pleasure to work with. Elisabeth was so prompt with returning emails, was willing to meet in person whenever we needed to, and they were so accommodating with specialty items that we wanted. They told us multiple times, "If there's something you want that we don't have, we will make it happen." The venue is so classic, elegant, beautiful and romantic. The staff was so professional, attentive and accommodating during the entire process, especially the night of! We had our ceremony, reception and after party at the St. Regis. It rained on our wedding day, but the team was so quick and responsive with a rain back up plan and turned the ballroom over from a ceremony to reception space in only 90 minutes! The whole night was perfectly executed and worked out so well. Maybe we'll have an anniversary party there in the years to come! :)

Elisabeth made my wedding day the perfect day that it was! She and her staff met all the expectations one could possible conceive for the St. Regis and more. Although I did not have a planner, Elisabeth worked with me to ensure that everything at the St. Regis was perfectly executed. I am forever grateful for her support throughout the process.
A word of advice, hotels are wonderful spaces to hold your special day. I originally was going to go the non-traditional route and use a local event space, but I am grateful for those close to me who convinced me otherwise. Holding your wedding at the St. Regis makes it pain free! Having to not worry about your room key because Elisabeth will just hand you one at the end of the night and for you to be greeted by rose petals and champagne upon your entrance is perfection. You can count on the staff to create a predicable budget, an accurate timeline, and provide all the direction to your guests during the event. The St. Regis even distributed the Mardi Gras beads on silver platters for our Hora Loca at the end of the night. Perfection!
Additionally, the St. Regis has one of the only ballrooms on the first floor of a hotel in D.C. (most are sub-floor). The doors to the ballroom open up onto the terrace and create a dreamlike space.
Lastly, the food is incredible. It truly is restaurant quality. Also, the chef worked with us to customize the dishes to meet our preferences. We also had the sliders and milkshakes at the end of the night and our family and friends still can’t stop talking about what a delicious last detail they were.
The St. Regis will make your wedding the perfect dream you imagine because they do focus on the details. If you are willing to provide the detailed plan of what you have in mind, they will make it come true (even if it’s an escort card table with a poured glass of champagne for each guest with their place card in it). St. Regis is incredible. If I could, I would do it again, again and again!

The St. Regis is not a cheap option, but I wouldn't have gone anywhere else in hindsight. I was married October 15 at Holy Rosary Church, with the amazing, drop dead gorgeous reception at the St. Regis...it was so good, pretty much all of our guests stayed until 1am, and were demanding more dancing! Had I known, I would have taken it to 2am, but you just never know!
The food was outstanding - everyone complimented how incredible the steak and fish were. They made the soup dairy free for the benefit of our lactose intolerant contingency. The chocolate mousse with caramel center was a big hit too.
I had requested less sugar in the cake, and I had requested for the midnight feast table, Mexican wedding cookies and soft Italian almond cookies....they really nailed the cookies right on the head. The cake, I found it different from the cake at the tasting, but maybe it had to do with the reduced sugar request. I had asked for the cake to be 3 tiers and had selected flowers for each tier, unfortunately, they made it 4 tiers without letting me know, and we didn't have a topper...the flowers were supposed to be the only decoration! (I'm a minimalist).
For the band, we were supposed to use the AV company that is approved by the St. Regis, but their cost was out of this world...for a fee of approximately $75 (if memory serves me correctly), we could hire a different company so long as they passed all the insurance requirements and had a good reputation. My coordinator at the St. Regis, Elisabeth Thomas, worked with my great wedding planner (Alison Roth Gold from Cherry Blossom wedding planners) to ensure that all my requests and desires were heard and achieved. Looking back, I would have selected the pin lighting on the tables to create more intimacy.
We were a full house with 176 guests so we put the band out in a tent in the courtyard.
I loved the rooms especially the bridal suite.
Such a special day and night and I would do it all over again, at the St. Regis.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Elisabeth Thomas and her team at the St Regis DC! Our wedding day was stress free, beautiful, and simply so much fun. Elisabeth was very organized, easy to work with, and honestly made me feel at ease. She communicated with our vendors and even our wedding party so I didn't have to going into the week of the wedding. But I think the high level of service can really be defined by one moment... After our first dance, my sweet now-husband stepped on the back of my train and tore my bustle. I told Elisabeth and next thing I know, she has a needle and thread and actually sews my dress and fixes my bustle so I can continue to dance the night away! Highly recommend her and The St Regis DC!

The St. Regis certainly provides that "wow" factor. Every guest told me this was the best wedding they had ever been too. Several weeks after the wedding, everyone is still talking about how great it was. The food was fantastic and the presentation of the food on the plate was artistic. The pastry chef was even able to make my dream wedding cake for me. No detail was overlooked and white gloved butlers took care of our every need. The butlers took care of us to make sure we ate and had plenty to drink. The catering manager and her assistant watched over the reception to watch over everything. At one point, they thought my dress had ripped and quickly rushed safety pins over. Having the wedding in December had the added benefit of the hotel's holiday decorations and the use of the Pavilion on the outdoor terrace. It was a nice extension of the ballroom to enjoy the cocktail hour in. I loved every minute of my wedding. It's a memory that I will have forever, and it was worth every penny.

We were very pleased with the St. Regis for my daughter's wedding reception. The lobby, ballroom and salon are all very beautiful. The food was exceptional, the staff were all very conscientious and kind, and Elisabeth Thomas did a superb job not only with helping us plan all the details of the reception but also she was invaluable throughout the reception making sure everything flowed smoothly.

We hosted our daughter’s wedding ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner at the St. Regis, Washington, D.C. The ceremony was held in the Astor Ballroom. We moved to the Astor Pavilion for the cocktail reception and then back into the Astor Ballroom for dinner. We purchase the St. Regis’ lighting package which included wall washing and pin-spotting of the dining tables and the effect was beautiful. Before the ceremony in the Astor Ballroom, the lights were up as guests took their seats. When the bridal procession began, the overall lighting in the room was dimmed and the aisle and ceremony area were illuminated. There was an audible gasp in the room when this occurred. The effect was stunning.
I cannot say enough about Martin Keeney, the Director of Catering, and his team. Martin was extremely helpful in the menu selection process, as well as recommending vendors to us. In fact, the floral designer, who he personally recommended, created the most spectacular floral arrangements for us that I had ever seen. Martin gave us some wonderful suggestions when we asked for them and he and his staff followed through on all of our requests. He also worked very well with all of our vendors. Furthermore, the wait staff at our event was extremely attentive without being intrusive and the food was excellent. The staff at the St. Regis is wonderful and made us and our guests feel special.

The St. Regis is surely one of Washington, D.C.’s finest hotels and the service there is incomparable. The St. Regis made our daughter’s wedding a truly memorable event.

Words cannot express our gratitude to Elisabeth Thomas, Catering Sales Manager and her entire team at the St. Regis Washington, DC as she planned our November wedding reception. Elisabeth is such a delight to work with and made planning our wedding reception a special collaboration. With so many details, decisions and logistics to sort out, she kept us informed and on schedule which was reassuring with our busy work schedules. She’s also extremely friendly so each meeting felt like we were catching up with a friend. The St. Regis Washington, DC is such a beautiful and historic hotel—we were so blessed to celebrate with our families and friends and truly appreciate everything Elisabeth did for us to make our wedding day so special!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Elisabeth Thomas at the St. Regis in DC, where we hosted our late September 2015 wedding. Elisabeth (and the entire St. Regis staff) were unbelievably easy and fun to work with. They anticipated our needs before we ever knew we had them and Elisabeth made the tasting and planning process a blast. She accommodated all of our guests so graciously and her meticulous attention to detail allowed us to fully let go and enjoy the moment. The St. Regis chef prepared a delicious dinner and the wedding cake was to die for. Seriously -- almond and chocolate sponge with vanilla frosting, perfectly shaped, iced and decorating precisely as we wanted (we submitted a single photo, and BAM, they made it happen). The Astor Terrace and Ballroom perfectly suited our taste. We wanted a classic, timeless and convenient venue for our guests. Our ceremony was on the terrace, under a gorgeous tent, and dinner and dancing was in the ballroom. We converted the terrace into a lounge after the ceremony, so our guests enjoyed the party indoors and fresh air outdoors. Perfect. Elisabeth and her team at the St. Regis made our wedding day truly magical.

Elegant, professional, and friendly are three words that describe The St. Regus venue and staff. The wedding was absolutely perfect! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the lighting is magical. The wedding pictures are so beautiful due to the St. Regis English Garden and classy ballroom. This has to be one of D.C.'s most upscale, yet inviting place to have the perfect wedding . It is a place to share beautiful lasting memories with family and friends. The location is perfect, as everything is within walking distance. The White House is just a few doors down and great for pictures. The chefs were amazing in their artistic creation of the best tasting food in the D.C. area. The wedding planner and the entire staff payed attention to every detail! We felt like family. As the mother of the bride, I will remember our St. Regis experience as a perfect place to have a wedding . Due to their expertise, we didn't have stress and could just enjoy the blessed event.

I would give Elisabeth Thomas and the St. Regis more than 5 stars if possible. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is gracious and will do anything in their power to help you or make your day better. And Elisabeth Thomas is absolutely the best. I had my wedding reception at the St. Regis in September 2015 and couldn't have been happier. Elisabeth constantly went above and beyond to help us plan the day and saw to every detail on the day-of. You're in the best hands possible. HIGHLY recommended!!

The St. Regis team--especially our coordinator Elisabeth Thomas--did an amazing job. Elisabeth helped us execute a stunning wedding with ease. Working solely with me (the clueless bride) she accommodated special requests, was extremely organized and even provided a day hotel room for a sick relative at no charge. She went above and beyond the call of duty with supreme professionalism. And this is only her first wedding season with the St. Regis! The rest of the staff were always professional and prompt with help. The venue is gorgeous (we barely needed flowers and did not need to spend much extra on decorations) and our guests said the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. Pricing was very good (at a good discount for having it on a Friday in August) and on par with other hotels in DC that are not nearly as beautiful.

I don't think a more elegant and accommodating venue could be found in DC. Vanessa Scott was incredible from the first moment we met with her to when we said goodbye and thank you. The venue flows perfectly with a courtyard, side cocktail room, amazing ballroom, and one of the most beautiful hotel lobbies I've ever seen. Our guests were blown away.

Thank you to Vanessa, and the full team at the St. Regis for making our wedding SO wonderful!!

I had my wedding at the St. Regis Washington, DC a few weeks ago. I cannot express how happy we were with our choice to have our wedding at the St. Regis. It was an incredibly beautiful venue with a truly exceptional staff. The Catering Manager,Vanessa Scott was a pure joy to work with. She was incredibly organized, professional, and pleasant throughout the entire planning process. She was quick to answer any correspondence and went out of her way to make sure our wedding was exactly what we dreamed of.

We got married on the Astor Terrace and had our reception in the adjoining Astor Ballroom. The terrace looked absolutely beautiful with lots of flowers and a beautiful fountain. The rod iron gates made for a great entrance. The ballroom is beyond gorgeous with large crystal chandeliers and lots of ornate details. It really provided the classic Washington hotel experience we were looking for. I will say that the ballroom is not huge and that our 135 guests and a dance floor were a perfect fit. I think a wedding of more than 150 would be a tight fit, especially with a dance floor.

Our guests continue to tell us how beautiful the venue was and how special to be in downtown DC (just blocks from the White House). The St. Regis was expensive but we believe that the quality of service, food, and space was worth it. The food was incredible and the wedding cake was exactly what I envisioned. The St. Regis is the place to go for a classic, luxurious Washington wedding.

Vivian and the St. Regis team are wedding all-stars. The St. Regis is an amazing, romantic, and classic venue. I really had my DREAM wedding and it could not have happened without the impeccable staff. The food was perfect and my wedding guests have not stopped raving. The cake blew me away and looked just like the photo I had provided. I could not have asked for a more perfect location to celebrate my special day. Vivian and the staff were so helpful and always on their game. I could not have had such a fabulous reception without them. I want to relive that night over and over! The St. Regis is the PERFECT place to host your wedding. You can throw a heck of a party that you and your guests will remember forever. Thank you so much again to Vivian and the staff!

This hotel has all of the components of a fantasy event! This hotel is the definition of class and elegance, but the icing on the cake was their employees!
I specifically worked with Alicia, who was SO incredible and amazing! She, together with my wedding planner of Engaging Affairs, created the most beautiful wedding that is still being talked about between guests and even non-guests-- across the east coast!
The food was absolutely delicious; they were incredibly flexible to accommodate our wants and needs {since the food was a huge part of our wedding, being half Italian}. They even made our favorite dessert into a speciality wedding cake!! Not one piece of cake was left uneaten of those who had one bite!
We used the ballroom, salon, and the terrace. They even allowed us to have a cigar roller, which many venues in the DC area do not allow. When we ran into a space issue with where to place our cigar roller, they generously let us use the space outside of the terrace {which is rarely ever done} and allowed us and our guests to stay until the last person left!
The service, ambiance, and everything in its entirety at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC was supurb on every single level!

Where do I begin? The St Regis is the true definition of luxury. We got married there 2 weeks ago, on 7/14/12. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of! The entire staff, most importantly our wedding cooridnator Alicia Bell, were incredibly professional, kind, responsive, and oh so on the ball. They are experts in this field. The food was unbelievably delicious. Our wedding cake was decorated exactly how I wanted it. The service is impeccable. I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about the St Regis's staff, venue, atmosphere, food, and service. You cannot go wrong with this venue. It's absolute perfection!

My wedding at the St. Regis was 100% perfect and amazing. Through the whole process, they were very, very responsive and always helpful - Hector, the Director of Catering, especially. They made all my dreams for my wedding come true. We held the wedding ceremony in the downstairs ballroom (due to the weather), and the room was beautiful and elegant. The Astor Ballroom for the reception was gorgeous and romantic. The food was also superb - many guests commented it was the best wedding food they ever had. The staff was friendly and well-prepared. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It was truly a very special place and I loved having my wedding there.

We couldn't have been happier with the St. Regis in D.C. The venue was perfect for our ceremony and reception.

The St. Regis was extremely easy to work with (first with Haydee and then with Alicia when Haydee left), responsive, organized, and helped us execute a flawless wedding weekend.

We were blessed with 80 degree, sunny weather in the middle of October so we had our reception outside on the terrace. We were also able to utilize the terrace for the rest of the evening with a bar, photo booth and cigar station.

The food was spectacular. We got so many compliments.

I would recommend bringing in lighting as the ballroom is a big dark with the wood ceiling. It really made a huge difference.

We also utilized the hotel bar (Adore) for our after party drinks. They were nice enough to keep the bar open past 1am to accommodate us.

If you're considering having your wedding at the St. Regis, look no further!

The suite included in the package was beautiful, the food was DELICIOUS and everything was put together perfectly. Our wedding cake looked and tasted delicious too. Gena Chen at St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C. is the best! She answered all of my emails swiftly and put together the perfect wedding for me.

The hotel has a nice terrace for wedding ceremonies. Luckily we had sunny weather on my wedding day so we were able to make use of it. The backup room - the Chandelier Room - is beautiful too. I was worried that having the ceremony in the terrace (located on 16th St) would be too noisy, but it wasn't too bad. A police siren went off during our ceremony but it didn't seem to put off anyone.

The reception food at St. Regis is to die for. The actual reception dinner was even tastier than the menu tasting we had. A lot of the guests told me it was the best wedding food they've ever had. The waiterstaff are very professional. You hardly even notice them when they're serving.

Overall, I had a fantastic wedding at the St. Regis D.C. I wish I could do it again! I highly recommend it to other brides.

My husband and I recently got married at the St. Regis in DC this past March, and we are still talking about how wonderful our wedding day was. Quite frankly, the entire day far exceeded our expectations. When we first met with the catering manager there, Elisabeth Thomas, we presented our vision for what we wanted our wedding day to look like, and at the time, we asked her to help us create an event for 100 people…only to then go on to over invite and let her know a few short months before the wedding that we were actually expecting 200 guests. Although she was taken by surprise, Elisabeth did not miss a beat. She met with her team and came back to us with a plan to accommodate everyone coming all while planning to make the day feel intimate and small, which is what we initially told her we were going for.

Elisabeth was extremely patient and accommodating and always very responsive. When our wedding day arrived, we did not have to worry about anything, including our florist, who was running well behind schedule. Elisabeth seamlessly handled everything in a way that allowed us to not see that anything was off kilter. On every account, we have only heard glowing remarks from our guests. The food was impeccable, everyone was well fed, during the cocktail hour and through dinner. Although the number of guests was really at the capacity of what the St. Regis can hold, the staff were amazing, and no one was not taken care of. While my husband and I mingled most of the night and were not able to eat, Elisabeth took it upon herself to send our entrees upstairs for us to have later, along with wedding cake, which was absolutely fabulous, by the way. We would highly recommend the St. Regis to anyone looking for a wedding venue that does it all; give you an elegant and classy venue, exceptional food, open bar, a beautiful wedding cake that was as good to eat as it looked, and on top of everything else, a place that treats all guests very well, and Elisabeth!

My husband and I held our son and daughter-in-law's Farewell Brunch at the St. Regis. It was a large brunch with close

We were really picky about where to had our wedding. After looking at all different venues in DC area, we thought we ran out of ideas of where we could have our wedding. We wanted a "wow" venue with an outdoor option, awesome food/staff/everything you can think of and is good for a smaller wedding of about 80 people.

St Regis has all that we want!!

The venue itself was fantastic, though the rain ruined our plan of having an outdoor ceremony, but the back-up plan was still awesome! And we got to use the Astor Terrace for cocktail hour!

Lots of nice places to have great pictures, we especially love the pictures taken at Adour bar and the hallway in the basement with all those mirrors and chandeliers.

    Food is delicious!

The most important thing is that all the staff are so helpful. We worked with Haydee and she's the best to work with!

It's been months after the wedding, but I still hear family and friends talking about it, because it was that awesome! :)

Everything was phenomenal with the St. Regis. Haydee Gamez is a great wedding coordinator. We did all of the actual planning ourselves, then Haydee coordinated it all. She was a pleasure to work with, and we could not have done it without her. The venue was gorgeous and unique. The food was OUTSTANDING. Haydee saved the bustling of my dress because my mom got nervous and forgot how to do it when it was show time!
Haydee always seemed to pop up right when I needed her- she did everything from bring the marriage contract down from the room, make sure the welcome baskets were with the people they needed to be with, set up our special champagne flutes for the rehearsal, make sure the timing went correctly from start to finish.....you name the detail and Haydee took care of it. She always got back to my emails and calls in a timely manner during the planning process, too.
I recommend her to all brides.
Only 3 issues with the St. Regis.... Flexibility with the lighting people, the room blocks, and timing of the favors.
You have to use their in house person for lighting, who is rather expensive for what you get, in order to use the tracks on the ceiling. If you hire an outside lighting vendor, you can not use the tracks on the ceiling so you will ruin the look of the exquisite astor ballroom with big beams and scaffolding for lighting. The lighting people set up the LED wash a few inches from the wall, so people kept knocking the little lights over when walking by. Nobody really noticed though.
Second-As for the favors, they were put out late so half of our guests were already gone and did not receive them.
Lastly, the rooms were considered a "catering rate" instead of a block, so people could only get the rate by reserving online with a special code. They did not have the guest names on a list because of this (don't ask me why their system is this way...it does not make sense), so I had to keep checking to see which guests were staying at the hotel in order to get the welcome basket numbers correct, and it was a pain for guests who wanted to call and make reservations. When they asked for the block rate for our wedding, instead of saying "you will have to do that online for this wedding" they just had NO record of the wedding rate at all and just said "sorry we don't have a special rate for this wedding" so it confused many people. But the hotel was very accommodating with our family staying for a few days by extending a nicely discounted rate. That more than made up for the issue.
Overall, the Pros of the St. Regis absolutely trumped the very few small negatives. The venue is perfect for a small - medium wedding and they only do one wedding a day, so the lobby and terrace become an extended area for you and your guests to celebrate. People could not stop raving about the place. I absolutely loved it and feel very fortunate to have worked with Haydee and the hotel.

    Dream Wedding Turned Reality

Even months after our big day, our friends and family are still raving about our wedding. We couldn't have had a more perfect celebration. The St. Regis is a stunning venue that provides five-star service and hospitality. Working with Elisabeth was wonderful! Her professionalism and organization put us at ease, and her friendliness and attention to detail were also very appreciated. Elisabeth also always expressed excitement for our event and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, special, and stress-free. She ensured we had our dream wedding by helping us incorporate our cultural elements and decor, add in new unique moments like champagne sabering, and crafting the most delicious menu for our event. What also stands out about the St. Regis is their personal touches like delivering handwritten congratulations letters and special treats to our wedding suite later that night, saving our champagne corkscrew for us, and signing our guestbook during the reception. The St. Regis and Elisabeth in particular know how to host exquisite, unforgettable events! You will absolutely be impressed if you work with them!

We held a NYE at the St Regis and it was awesome--numerous friends and family members have told us it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended.

The space is great - if you are looking for a smaller DC location that has top notch service and old world charm, the St Regis is perfect. The layout of the rooms is great--particularly if you have use of the terrace, which is connected to the ballroom. They are making some updates to the rooms, and they look better than they did before.

The food is awesome! Catering for a large crowd is always difficult, and wedding food is often pretty meh, even at 5 star hotels. Somehow the St. Regis has come up with a way of effectively scaling their catering, and the food is AWESOME. All the food was actually really good, hot, and tasted exactly as it did when we did our tasting/selection.

The staff will treat you like royalty, and genuinely seem to enjoy working there and providing hospitality to guests. Truly 5 star service experience.

ELISABETH THOMAS is an angel. She is professional, lovely to work with, and 100% on her game. I work in a client service role, so I usually hold people to a pretty high standard, and I can honestly say that Elisabeth's level of service and care is 5 stars. She's also a wedding fairy god mother. Honestly, if you have your wedding at the St Regis, things will be so easy, and you won't need any help from an outside planner. Elisabeth is awesome - I can't say enough good things about her. On my wedding day, she was a calming presence, and she was magically always there when I needed her (but I never felt like she was hovering or intrusive). One example, prior to my first dance, the bustle on my dress ripped and fell. Within an instant, Elisabeth was there with needle and thread, patched it up, and it looked absolutely perfect.

Highlight recommend a wedding at the St Regis, particularly if you get to work with Elisabeth!

We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at the St. Regis! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and unique. Although we were initially tentative to do a big hotel wedding (we thought we wanted a historic home), we found the process to be so much more enjoyable. Everything was streamlined, we didn't have to worry about any of the small things - not the Chivari chairs, nor the cake, chargers, etc! Alicia at the St. Regis is wonderful, she worked seamlessly with both me and with our wedding planner. Additionally, the head chef was so flexible - accommodating our request for a duet of filet and swordfish (which wasn't even on the menu), as well as custom seasonal cocktails and late night mini burgers and shakes! We had the best day of our lives here, and if we were getting married again, would choose the St. Regis every time.

We had both our ceremony and reception at the St. Regis. We used the Astor Terrace for the ceremony (we rented a clear tent). We used half the lobby and salon for the cocktail hour (and partitioned the lobby off with boxwood walls to create separation and privacy). We used the Astor Ballroom for the dinner. Then we used the Astor Terrace again for the band and dancing after dinner. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well kept. The whole wedding was gorgeous. We had a lot of logistics happening the day of and the St. Regis team handled it wonderfully. If anything went wrong--we never knew about it. We had a 20 foot boxwood wall delivered, an enormous amount of flowers, rental furniture from two separate companies, antique chandeliers, the tent company that put up the tent in the morning but waited until after the ceremony was over to put down the dance floor etc.--lots of moving parts, and Susan Gruskin (our St. Regis coordinator) worked with our wedding planner and all of our vendors to make sure that everything was seamless. Susan was incredibly helpful and made me feel very special. She had little gifts and special touches in the bridal suite before I arrived and made sure that everyone was incredibly well taken care of. Initially, before we had Susan there were a few hiccups due to our original coordinator leaving the St. Regis--but once we got Susan everything was great. I would absolutely recommend the St. Regis to anyone who wants to get married in a gorgeous space with excellent service and wonderful food. They customized the menu for us as well as the the alcohol offered on the bar. It really was the perfect wedding.

Our guests loved the St Regis

We picked the St Regis for the location, the beautiful terrace, and the delicious cookies! It was perfect to be able to have our ceremony on the terrace and the reception in the adjoining ballroom, so that we didn’t have to worry about providing directions to out of town guests. We got a lot of positive comments about the dinner - especially with how good the dinners that were made specifically to accomodate guests with allergies.

Most of the planning we coordinated with Elisabeth, who is absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately she was out on personal leave in the immediate lead up and we ended up working with her boss Martin. Martin was very nice but you could tell he was over his head trying to cover for Elisabeth. We were a little frustrated in our communications with him - we struggled to even get them to charge our payment on time and it was difficult to get things in writing to make sure we were all on the same page. There were a few smaller things that weren’t quite set up how we had asked and the wrong wine was briefly served, but overall our guests were extremely complimentary of the venue and didn’t notice any hiccups.

We had wonderful experience with the St. Regis as our reception venue in April 2016. Elisabeth Thomas was our hotel contact, we enjoyed working with her very much, she was available for many calls and visits, and always handled questions and event changes professionally. The hotel only books one wedding per weekend which allows freedom for pictures in the lobby and around the hotel. The side-by-side Astor ballroom and courtyard is a rare combination that allows guests to flow back and forth. The hotel's service on the weekend of the wedding was stellar; detail-oriented and enthusiastic.

St. Regis is one of the lovliest venues in DC. Extremely classic and refined without feeling stuffy and close. Elisabeth is an excellent and utterly capable event planner and coordinator and the staff are top shelf whilst being warm and personable.

We did not actually hold our ceremony at the St. Regis, but we used it as our main hotel for our wedding weekend (for our room block, bridal suite, getting ready, etc.). We had a very mixed experience overall. On the one hand, some things about it were great -- the hotel is lovely, and the concierge, valets, and other staff were all friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

But we were EXTREMELY disappointed with how their events team handled other aspects of the weekend. We specifically picked the St. Regis because of the beautiful lobby, and because we were told that we could use it to take pictures before the wedding. The night before, we received a terse email from the Events & Planning Director, Laurie Boos, who told us that they had accidentally double-booked the lobby and were kicking us out. No apology, no attempt to find another location, no explanation of why the other group got to use the space and we didn't.

After our wedding planner intervened, they offered us the Presidential Suite for photos, which would not have been our first choice but also looked nice. Then the day of the wedding, right as we were about to go there to take photos, they told us that oops, they had actually booked that suite for someone else, too. Again, no apology, and no explanation of how that happened.

We ended up having to take photographs in a random other hotel room, and although our photographer did a great job with them, we were very disappointed with the background of all of those shots. You can tell that we are all just standing around in one of the worst rooms in the hotel, and our photographer had no advance notice to try to rearrange the background or lighting. For a hotel that is EXTREMELY expensive (and where we/our families spent a ton of money all weekend), we didn't have anything nice or elegant in the photos to show for it. It was very disheartening, and I'm not sure I can recommend the hotel as a result.

    Unprofessional, Incompetent, and Enraging

Words cannot express my frustration with the St. Regis, DC. After communicating regularly with event staff, reaching a verbal agreement, and being ready to put down my deposit (3 months before my wedding), the staff ignored me for more than a month and forgot who I was.

After several initial calls and email exchanges with the Catering and Event manager, I sent over my finalized plan for the event and was ready to pay after receiving a complete estimate. Our last exchange was on a Friday and the projected date to confirm our booking was the next Monday (3 days).

However, I was ignored for over a month by all members of staff that I had been in contact with. Despite my repeated efforts to communicate with the front desk and event staff, the Event and Catering manager was "unreachable". I eventually spoke to the General Manager of the hotel, who put me on the phone with the Event and Catering Manager within minutes. This demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and communication within the hotel a the most basic level.

The Event and Catering Manager did not remember me or my event, even with prompting. He then called me back to ask that I resend ALL of our previous correspondence because he could not locate it in his inbox. About ten minutes later he called me back to tell me that he had finally located the many emails. This unprofessionalism was infuriating to someone who was merely a few months from the wedding date. I wish I could post email and phone records to verify the lack of competency of the entire St. Regis, DC staff.
