We were SO happy with our choice of venue - not only is the property beautiful with lots of historic charm, but the teams at Birkby House and Tuscarora Mill (Birkby's exclusive caterer) were also incredible. We loved that Birkby House has lots of different parts of the venue for guests and the wedding party to enjoy. From the on-site bride and groom suites, to the courtyard, to the main house, to the conservatory... it's a perfect place to celebrate your big day.

Nicholas Suarez is such a pleasure to work with! He's friendly, professional, and knowledgable with a great sense of humor. He communicates well, responds quickly, and is willing to answer any questions. Nicholas gave me and my fiancé an in-person tour yesterday, and he was very helpful from start to finish. The venue itself is elegant, beautiful, and spacious with high ceilings and glass windows. The view is also beautiful with rolling fields and greenery in the background. We were so pleased with our experience that we ended up booking a date with Nicholas at Raspberry Plain Manor the same day! We're very excited to work with the RPM team.

My wedding at the Oatlands was absolutely beautiful! I received so many sincere compliments all night long. For a guest count of 40, the setting was absolutely perfect. I had my ceremony in the gardens, cocktail hour on the lawn next to the estate house, and my reception in the greenhouse. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for an intimate space that has character, beauty, and that escape like feeling. You really don't have to do much at all in terms of decor because that's all inherent in the property. The gardens are magical and the greenhouse has this cool, rustic, romantic, old world feeling. There's twinkle lights and windows everywhere, brick exterior, stone floor... So gorgeous. And if you have your wedding at the Oatlands, you'll be working with Pure Perfection Catering, which was delicious, and OpenBlooms for floral (you have a choice for floral, but I'd recommend this company; they partner with Oatlands and know the venue really well). Finally, this is a great value. I researched soooooo many properties and it was really difficult to find a venue that offered everything I wanted in a wedding, but wouldn't price me out with their ridiculous minimums and/or catering toward a larger crowd. Oatlands fit the bill. I would highly recommend!!

Review for Nicholas Suarez Nicholas has been absolutely amazing from the start! Our initial phone call was super helpful, and he made us feel excited and confident about touring the venue. During the in-person tour, he was incredibly prepared, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions—even followed up quickly when he didn’t have an answer right away. His communication has been fast and professional throughout. We’re strongly considering this venue because of how great he’s been to work with. Highly recommend Nicholas!

Wes and Jill were lovely to work with. They were beyond flexible with the specific needs of our wedding and we were so impressed with the way they facilitated everything seamlessly! From moving chairs to steam-ironing tablecloths and beautiful hand-drawn chalk art that was personalized to our wedding, Wes and Jill ensured that everything was taken care of. Additionally, there were strong winds on our wedding day, resulting in a neighborhood-wide power outage in the middle of our ceremony. During cocktail hour, Wes and Jill lit every candle they could find, manually ensured the bathrooms were functioning, and were hauling in a generator right as the power magically came back on! They truly went above and beyond and, most importantly, made sure that we as a couple were not stressed and assured us that it was being handled. Aside from the wonderful staff, the venue itself is a true gem! Getting married in March, we were worried that no venue would have greenery for our early-spring wedding. However, the bamboo provided us with the perfect backdrop! The rooms are beautifully decorated and the manor has various styles of chairs and other decor to choose from. We definitely saved hundreds in decorations due to the manor having so much charm and general decor to use! My husband especially loved the spacious grooms suite that included the entire basement, stocked with games and comfy seating. A gem of a location, especially for a smaller wedding!
