Stoneleigh was a dream come true in every aspect of wedding planning! From the moment we got in touch with Saray we knew she would make our wedding happen exactly how we wanted and work to accommodate our massive (200+) guest count! She was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and made sure we were updated and aware of all things planning along the way. Then the wedding day came and she knocked it out of the park going above and beyond her responsibilities to make sure every little detail was perfect! Getting married in stoneleigh was amazing as I grew up there and the team working with me made it absolutely perfect!

Where to even start!! There is so much GOOD to say about this place and especially about the event coordinator here (at least make sure you read the part about her!!). . I promise you this long review is going to be worth reading.

So just for starters, this venue is GORGEOUS and has multiple options for where you can have you ceremony/reception/cocktail hour, all amazing. Amazing places for pictures. And the bridal and grooms suites are smack dab in the center of all these locations so moving about the day from place to place goes so smoothly. They also have amazing food and drink options and pricing is absolutely reasonable for everything you get and just the venue scenery in general.

But the biggest and most valuable part of this venue is absolutely the event coordiantor, Saray McCombs. I cannot say enough about her and I can promise you, it was her who made the most important day of my life absolutely perfect. No stress. No worrying. I actually got to enjoy my big day, because of her.

So when we first toured this place there was a different event coordinator who had been there for years and years so my husband and I felt very comfortable and confident. After several months of no replies to emails, we finally found out (4 months before our wedding) this woman had quit and there was someone new. We were devastated. And unfortunately at that time, we let Saray know that and that we were worried because she was brand new to this venue at the time. Not only did she validate my feelings but she immediately started to build a rapport with me by expressing understanding and then talking with me to figure out how to best make me comfortable and make my big day perfect. She literally made me feel completely confident in her within our first conversation because it was so clear how passionate and dedicated she was to the job. Her communication the 4 months leading up to the wedding was phenomenal.. she did not skip a beat. She is very easy to talk to, she listens to what you want and she takes notes on every conversation. She's detailed and organized. And best of all, she executes. Not only did she deliver exactly what we had pictured in our heads but she made it even better!!! She took our dream and made it an even better reality. She worked so well with all of our other vendors too that I literally felt 0 stress the day of the wedding (which I've heard a lot of brides experience a lot of stress..) but not me. She handled everything. The rest of her staff was amazing and they all knew exactly what to do and where to be when they needed to be there. If I could do this all over again, I'd pick her to be my event coordinator time and time again and stroneleigh as my venue.

You will not regret getting married in this breath takingly beautiful place and you definitely will not regret allowing Saray McCombs to be in charge of your big day, couldn't be in better hands.

We had our wedding at Stoneleigh in end of May and we could not have asked for a better experience and wedding day! Overall A+ and we had an incredible day. We cannot recommend this venue and staff enough!

Venue: The venue is rustic with a beautiful courtyard area especially for the Spring/Summer time when we got married. The stone wall enclosed area made you feel secluded and we really liked the feel and texture the stone walls brought. The altar was raised above the general seating area where the wedding guests sat, making for better view points for the guests. The flowers and foliage made for such a picturesque setting and an incredible outdoor wedding. We also had the reception/dinner in the courtyard area and the food was absolutely incredible! There was a great menu to choose from when selecting the options for the wedding, and everything was so delicious; the chicken marsala was our favorite. Chef Matt and his team had so many great options. We had so many guests compliment how great the food was!
The courtyard area also made for a great outdoor dance area, as the dance floor was outside and was lit with string lights, which made for a great setup for the dancing and even cornhole and fire pits. Every guest had something to do – whether it was dancing on the dance floor, playing cornhole, roasting marshmallows over the fire pit, or hanging by the bar. The night went too fast, and everything was incredible and so smooth.
We were also able to take other wedding photos throughout the property and made for some incredible wedding photos. There are plenty of scenic spots around the venue that made for some memorable photos!

The Staff: The staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and were a huge help on our wedding day. Stephanie worked incredibly hard to make our big day a huge success – from helping us plan and making great recommendations and ideas for logistics, help with identifying the value items to help us save money, venue setup and decorations, to even running a grilled cheese bar towards the end of the night! These grilled cheeses were a HUGE HIT that sent a lot of guests home extremely happy! All of the other Stoneleigh staff were incredible to work with (Michelle, KK, Brayden, Emily, Logan, Matt, Lila , and Alexandra to name a few ) – genuinely caring and friendly people that were there to help with whatever you needed on your wedding day. We felt so at home and they helped make our day so much easier.
Would highly recommend to anyone!

This was the first (and only) venue my fiancé and I looked at for our wedding. It offers the perfect mix of rustic and elegance that we were looking for, with multiple sites throughout the property for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception that gave each part their own feel. The site is historic, dating back to the 18th century, but has modern features that made it perfect (we highly recommend the bride and groom to stay overnight in their on-site cottage, which dates back to 1750). The mix of indoor and outdoor options let us set up a great backup plan in the event of rain ahead of time, which helped curb any weather-related anxiety. With the Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop, it’s also an amazing place for wedding photography. We ended up doing part of our engagement shoot there, and they were super accommodating. A huge plus is that all the food and drinks are coordinated through the venue (including all dishes and flatware, tables and chairs, tablecloths, etc). The chefs there do an excellent job, with lots of options that pleased every single one of our guests. Our guestlist ran the gamut of dietary issues (lactose, gluten, vegans/vegetarians, nuts, shellfish) and everyone left happy and full. They even put together a late-night grilled cheese bar that was an absolute hit. Another bonus is their event coordinator, Stephanie – her and her team did an amazing job before, during, and after the wedding to make sure our event went off seamlessly. No day-of coordinator needed! All in all, we had our dream wedding at a fraction of the cost as other places in the area.

Five stars are not enough to rate this place! My daughter was married here on 8/17/19 and we couldn’t have been more pleased. After looking all over the area for a venue, I can say without hesitation that Stoneleigh Golf Club is the most beautiful bargain in Northern Virginia! They had everything we wanted for a memorable wedding, a stunningly beautiful setting with lots of options for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and fabulous pictures, rain or shine (which removed the anxious weather watching). Included in their price were so many things the vineyards and other venues consider ‘a la carte.’ They already have a tent set up on a permanent floor (no mushy grass if it rains!), tables, chairs, pergola, linens (all colors) they even have their own fabulous chef so no need to find a caterer. I was amazed at how many people told us it the best wedding food they had ever had! They even had a number of décor items they let us borrow which was a nice value-added. But the hidden gem of this whole operation was Stephanie and her awesome staff. All the other venues required a Day-Of coordinator. Once again, this was included in the Stoneleigh package. And what a great coordinator Stephanie was- a personable, professional, problem-solving creative director before the wedding, and on the Big Day she was a tireless, enthusiastic, Captain that made everything happen seamlessly. It was a dream wedding and it cost a lot less than it would have anywhere else. Thank you Stoneleigh!

The pictures do not do this place justice. My mother thought I was crazy for having this be #1 on my list of 6 other locations until she visited the site. There are multiple gorgeous and rustic locations available to get married, have a cocktail hour and/or reception. We had 200 guests so we did an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour in the barn and reception in the tent. All of the spaces were perfect!!!! Stephanie was such a pleasure to work with; she
goes above and beyond and then goes the extra mile to make your day go as smoothly as possible. The chef and kitchen staff provided an amazing meal that had people going back for seconds and thirds. The bartenders were absolutely amazing - they kept the liquid courage going all night to get people on the dance floor! Every single staff member that had a part in the day did a phenomenal job. Guests commented that it was the best wedding that they had been to and that was thanks to Stoneleigh and the staff.

We just had my daughter's wedding at Stoneleigh Country Club on September 29, 2018. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue! The venue is so beautiful -with a historic courtyard for the ceremony, a rustic barn for cocktail hour, and a permanent tent for dinner and dancing - all against a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains - it really is the perfect spot! Add in an exceptional Event Manager (Stephanie Swaino), and her experienced staff and a great chef - and you have the recipe for a beautiful and well-run wedding! I cannot say enough good things about working with Stephanie - and the rest of the Stoneleigh team. I booked my daughter's wedding about 16 months out. During that 16 months, Stephanie encouraged me to visit as many times as I wanted so that I could see the venue set up different ways. She also had great recommendations for a photographer, (Photography Du Jour) florist (Designing Flowers) and where to get our hair (Jenny's Hair Salon) and make up (Melissa Franklin) done (or as I referred to them as the Purcellville Dream Team) - all local resources from in and around Purcellville All of the vendors that she recommendation had a lot of experience working with Stephanie and at Stoneleigh - which really helped to reduce a lot of "day of" stress.
Although the venue is perfectly fine the way it is, I wanted to add just a few "wow" pieces to the decor in the barn and the tent. Stephanie readily agreed to meet with the woman I had hired to rent a few special pieces from (Rosanna from Bella Villa in Marshall, VA) to discuss my ideas. The three of us spent an hour or two together brainstorming ideas. Stephanie is very creative herself, and added a lot to the conversation. I walked away from this meeting with a very clear idea of what the venue would look like as well as how the day would run. Her staff was also the perfect combination of being personable and professional. And the food was delicious, too! I highly recommend Stoneleigh!

We just had our wedding there on Aug. 4th and it was the most amazing day of our lives!! Stephanie and her team were absolutely amazing. When we first booked the venue we booked it under a different events manager and were a little nervous when we heard there was someone new. However, When we first met Stephanie we knew we would be taken care of. Throughout the entire process, she was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond. Whenever we had an idea, it was never no it can’t be done. It was always yes and we can even do (enter awesome idea here). She had great recommendations and is very flexible. She was a step ahead of everything and did everything in her power to ensure everything went smoothly. There are truly not enough stars to rate her and I mean that. Her staff were also top knotch and are the most caring people you could meet. You will not be dissapointed if you have Stephanie and her team during your wedding. Stoneleigh really knew what they were doing when they brought Stephanie on and Even my guests were amazed with her attentiveness and work ethic ( I think some even tried to Recruit her for there companies). My experience was exceptional and I would recommend this venue to anyone.

Stoneleigh is a hidden gem for sure. The overall feel and look is so special and unique. My husband and I were married there on 10/14/17 and it was perfect. There is a beautiful courtyard area where we did the ceremony, a fun refinished barn where we did the cocktail hour, and then a floored tent where we did the reception. All areas have their own feel even though they are very close, so it is a perfect spot to do everything-in-one. Another huge plus is that all of the food and drinks are coordinated through the venue, including dishes, flatware, tablecloths, etc. which was a huge item off the to-do list. Not to mention all of the food is delicious! The best part for us about Stoneleigh was the flexibility; Brian and his team are extremely open and willing to make anything happen. That being said, it is not the place for you if you want to just show up and have a great wedding. What is there is very beautiful but minimalistic, so you will need to add decorations. We had the tent lined and poles draped and that made it perfect and very romantic feeling. We also had our florist decorate the arch which is there with flowers and draping. All in all, we would definitely recommend Stoneleigh to future couples; the pictures on the website do not do the venue justice, go take a look for yourself!
