Kalero Vineyard is a beautiful wedding venue in Purcellville, Virginia. Over 130 acres of farmland and vineyards, nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains, provide couples and wedding guests the event experience of a lifetime. Kalero Vineyard is the perfect place for a rustic wedding, as the barnyard dates back to the 1800s, and its acreage offers privacy despite its proximity to Washington D.C. Kalero Vineyard is an ideal wedding destination for couples who are looking for rustic charm and authentic Virginian elegance.
Facilities and Capacity
The barn at Kalero VIneyard is 2,500 square feet, and holds a capacity up to 120 people in the main dining hall. Two lofts and a bridal suite on the facility offer additional space for the bridal party to get ready, or can be used by guests before and after the ceremony. Inside, the vineyard provides bands and DJs a large stage to play, and a dedicated lower level space for meal prep and serving. Outside the dining hall, a flagstone patio overlooking the vineyard is available for outdoor dining and additional guest accomodations.
Kalero Vineyard provides stunning facilities for events up to nine hours. You may rent the facilities longer for an additional charge. However, the wedding and reception must end by 10 p.m., allowing an extra hour for cleanup. Kalero provides a list of preferred vendors, however if you insist on another vendor, all you need to do is notify Kalero before your contract is signed.
The Hearthstone Barn, a beautiful barn overlooking the vineyard, was built in 1834. It survived burning raids and attacks during the Civil War, and still stands with some of its original architecture intact. It has been restored several times; the current owners finished modern restorations and opened the doors for weddings and events in 2017. The barn's name originates from a unique heart-shaped stone discovered by the owners' daughters while walking through the vineyards.
Kalero Vineyards is deep in the Virginian countryside, but can be accessed via Charles Town Pike. It is adjacent to Lynfield Farms, and there are several bed and breakfasts nearby for your wedding guests to stay on their trip.

My husband, Bart, and I could not have been happier with our decision to host our wedding reception at the Heartstone Barn at Kalero Vineyard. Out touring winery locations in Loudon County, we heard whispers of a new location being renovated and decided to drive over on a whim to check it out. We would have selected Kalero as our venue if we’d showed up and it had been “set” for a wedding, but the fact that the venue was truly under construction offered Bart and I a chance to get to know the owners and appreciate Ann and Fran’s generosity and passion. They *love* Kalero, and have poured themsleves in to making it a special place for families to enjoy one of the most important days of their lives.Sent on 02/22/2018
Bart and I had the privilege of watching Heartstone Barn come together. Ann and Fran kept us in the loop on all the developments, invited us to their public events, and helped us to develop a floor plan and feel that would accentuate the vibe we wanted: a relaxed, enjoyable party that felt like we’d invited people to an upscale BBQ at our home. The building is beautiful: the ceilings are vaulted, the wood and stonework create a warmth and comfort that pervades the barn, the two patios overlook mountains and vines. The party was incredible: our dance floor included both the downstairs space and the stage, our guests loved finishing their night with bourbon by the firepits, and the space balanced a medium-sized party (we had ~110 guests) with an intimate feel so we could still chat with everyone.
What sets Kalero apart, though, is Ann and Fran. We felt from the beginning that they genuinely cared about us, our families, and our event. Though their calendar was getting booked and they were in crazy construction mode, we always felt in our interactions as though we were their only clients. We got so many compliments throughout the night about our venue, and we know that as Ann and Fran continue to develop the public-facing events at Kalero, we will continue to return!

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Kalero Vineyard! The mountain backdrop, vineyard scenery, and the gorgeous barn made for wonderful pictures that will last a life time. The owner, Ann Fortin, is so professional and accommodating. Also, the price is very reasonable and the space can be turned into whatever you envision-although it doesn't need much! Thanks Kalero for making our wedding dreams come true!Sent on 11/21/2018
