Wedding Venues in Charlottesville

The Clifton is the perfect location for a wedding. With a plethora of gorgeous ceremony options and a timeless white tent, you can host an event of any style or size. The staff is incredible both in the planning and carrying out of events. We were so thankful to have Nick and Luda's expert advice and guidance throughout the wedding.

Mount Ida Barn was a beautiful setting for an outdoor/indoor wedding. Everyone I dealt with at Mount Ida from start to finish was extremely professional and I would highly recommend this venue. It is very reasonably priced and the grounds looked beautiful for the outdoor ceremony and the barn is beautiful and big for a nice sized reception. We were so happy we picked this venue!

I couldn't believe that was actually MY wedding. The venue is amazing, the staff is responsive and incredible, Danielle coordinates events in the smoothest and most responsive way possible. They have thought of everything, and they are an event machine in the best way. It feels so personal and adaptive to what you want, but also they are equipped to support your vision with minimal work. Kitchen in house makes a huge difference for the warmth of the food, and the incredible restaurant makes the quality of the food top-notch! We had florals and a DJ brought in and they all loved working with the staff, and our event planner noted that everyone (esp the wool factory) was incredible throughout the process. Can't recommend enough.

We had our wedding there! Loved the space, they had a lot of options for the cost and are great value for the $$ (at time of writing). Tina was always very responsive and accommodating for when we wanted to visit and look at the space. Only thing is, be prepared to DIY most of your event if you hold it there. They have a list of vendors they like to work with that makes the process easier. It's also off of a windy country road so careful driving is a must!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at the Holiday Inn University Charlotteville and it was AMAZING! The staff was so accomodating and responsive to our needs. The atmosphere was very elegant and everything was so perfectly placed. The chef and his staff were beyond comparison. The food was delicious, and the staff constantly monitored supply and demand. Actually, according to the Bride, who is extremely picky, the food was "out of this world". From the moment we contacted their Director of Sales and made our commitment we were so at ease. It was so well organized, detail oriented, and focused on our individual needs. Our questions or changes were always meet with a positive attitude. The hotel has a "what can we do to help you" type of attitude and atmosphere. Most of our guests were from out of town (up North)and they could not believe how "perfect" everything was and how friendly the hotel staff was. All of our out of town guests made their lodging reservations here as well. They commented on how clean their rooms were as well as how cozy the atmosphere was. I honestly have to say I never stressed about our reception, catering, or accomodations for one moment. If you are looking for an elegant,enjoyable, and accomodating venue that keeps in mind the expenses that go into a wedding while providing a fairy tale atmosphere on such a special and memorable day I highly recommend the Holiday Inn University Charlottesville. Boar’s Head was the perfect place to host our wedding! I loved that you could host your entire wedding weekend at Boar’s Head and there are so many great options for each event, depending on the weather and number of guests. The grounds are stunning and we had so many great options for photography as well. We initially planned on an indoor ceremony since March is so unpredictable, but the weather ended up being perfect and they were able to flawlessly move the ceremony outside to the Greens with just a day’s notice. We had our reception in the Pavilion and it was so elegant and allowed for the perfect flow for our cocktail hour and dinner. We had the pleasure of working with Lauren Wallis as our wedding coordinator and she truly went above and beyond. We were in constant contact the year leading up to our wedding and she was able to accommodate all of our requests, down to the type of glassware for our signature drinks! Most of our guests stayed at the Boar’s Head and they absolutely loved the rooms, amenities, and the restaurant and bar at the inn. The hors d’oeuvres and dinner were excellent on our wedding- our guests loved the food and open bar. The bartenders and waitstaff were also so professional. We had such a great experience with Boar’s Head throughout the planning process and thought the weekend was truly perfect. Thank you Boar’s Head!

Comfort Inn was wonderful- they gave us quite a reduced rate for having so many people stay there. Also, they were very helpful in providing the guests with directions around Charlottesville. I have stayed at this Comfort Inn numerous times and I will go back!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Trump Winery. The staff was very accommodating and kind. We had a chapel ceremony prior to our larger ceremony and it was the perfect intimate experience for our closest family and friends. Having the whole winery to ourselves was such a plus. It felt so exclusive and private. I highly recommend staying at Albermarle Estate for the wedding weekend. The entire experience was incredible!

Carol Anne Abbott and the UVA Alumni Hall Reservations team are delightful! We recently held our wedding at the UVA Chapel with the reception after at Alumni Hall. Alumni Hall is a pretty space in itself, with the Jefferson Ballroom serving as the main entertaining space. The Annex room attached to the Ballroom worked perfectly for our cocktail hour. Carol Anne is amazing - literally the best to work with. She answered our initial questions and helped us navigate the path to securing Alumni Hall and signing a contract. She was available for our walk throughs, and a wealth of knowledge in terms of recommending various vendors within the Charlottesville area. My husband and I both graduated from UVA, but as we no longer live in the area, we relied heavily on Carol Anne to help find our other amazing vendors. We loved working with Carol Anne so much we convinced her to serve as our day of coordinator in addition - one of our best decisions of wedding planning! Our wedding was true to UVA down to the cheesy color coordination of navy and orange. My husband and I met at UVA and wanted to reflect our love for Mr. Jefferson's University. We were very pleased with the reception venue of Alumni Hall and recommend it for others - they also offer a discount for the reservation fee to Alumni Life Members.
