My now husband and I were super impressed with Phoebe and all her help during our planning process and how great she was on our wedding day. We didn't hire Phoebe until around two months before our wedding and I am so glad we did, there are so many things we as brides don't even begin to think about while you're in the whirlwind of wedding planning, let alone on wedding day. It's so nice to be able to trust a professional with those tasks and to be able to let those stressors go on such a big day! Phoebe really took the time to listen to us during our meetings and make sure our day was ours. If you're thinking about hiring a wedding coordinator, do it. (Phoebe specifically!) You will not regret it!

There truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are for Natalia. From the very beginning, she carried so much of the weight for us.. communicating with vendors, coordinating countless details, and making sure every single piece of our vision came together seamlessly. What we experienced on our wedding day was beyond anything we could have imagined, and that is because of the love, dedication, and care she poured into every moment. From our rehearsal the night before to the final moments of the celebration, she was there ensuring everything ran flawlessly so we could be fully present and soak in the most important day of our lives. Taylor will always go out of her way to make sure she meets all of your requests. She is also very willing to physically meet you to help with planning whenever it is needed. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything ran so smoothly and always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She is kind and so helpful! I highly recommend!

My daughter and son in law were recently married; Kara & Bri were their wedding planners. Their expertise and guidance resulted in a magical & unforgettable wedding day that exceeded our expectations. We could not have found all the necessary vendors on our own; Kara & Bri gave excellent recommendations and presented a range of options for every vendor. Completing each contract in a timely manner was straightforward. Kara and Bri had regular communication with us and created a single source where all information could be easily reviewed and updated. Details weren't overwhelming as they were always addressed on time. On the wedding day, Allie and Liz also assisted. The bride, groom, family, friends and all guests were able to relax and enjoy a beautiful wedding ceremony and seamless reception. We can't thank you enough and could not have done it without you; we'd happily recommend you to anyone planning a wedding or other event!

Working with Orpha Events to plan our wedding was the best decision we made throughout the whole process. Katie was incredibly reliable, communicative, and receptive to our ideas and values. She was creative, strategic, and persistent when it came to executing our vision, and the Orpha team pulled off a stunning wedding without any major stress placed on us or our families. It’s taken me far too long to write this review, because I truly think it’s impossible to put into words how amazing Kristin is on a personal and professional level - but I’m going to try! My husband and I first spoke with Kristin over 1.5 years out from our wedding date, and from our initial call it was clear that we would be lucky to work with her. Not only is Kristin easy to talk to, but she is also *so* knowledgeable when it comes to Charlottesville/the surrounding area and vendors/businesses. You can hear the joy in her voice over the phone when she talks about these things!! From our welcome drinks venue to our rentals, florist to local paper printing, Kristin knows exactly who and what to recommend in all situations. I had the pleasure of working with Kristin for the year and a half of planning leading up to our June 7th wedding, with standing phone calls every other week starting 6 months out - I miss these calls! Kristin is organized, thorough, and prompt, but even more than that she’s warm, kind, and has an eye for design and detail that I feel cannot be beat. Throughout planning, Kristin never steered me/us wrong for details both big and small. We spent time picking out linens together during our rentals meeting, and had to pivot to another plan for linens - when she sent over options, they were colors/prints that would not have been my first choice, but wound up pulling my entire vision together beyond anything I could have imagined. Week of the wedding, Kristin was working tirelessly behind the scenes to do everything humanly possible to make our Plan A a reality - weather forecasts were gloomy with strong potential for rain/storms, but Kristin worked with rentals, catering, photography, and even a meteorologist to be prepared to execute our dream wedding. Of course, she also made sure Plan B was prepared to keep our day running smoothly in case of unfortunate weather. She respected when I as a bride didn’t want to entertain the thought of rain (🤪) but still made sure that no matter what, our day would be magical. Fast forward to June 7, and my mind was truly blown by how seamlessly our day at Keswick came together. From timeline to place settings, Kristin and her *amazing* team made sure our day was perfect with nothing out of place. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and tent reception were everything and more - I still can’t believe it happened (and not a drop of rain in the sky). Even with my husband dislocating his kneecap during our first dance (unfortunately can’t make this up), Kristin and her gals remained calm, cool, and collected, and kept our evening running according to plan. My husband has said over and over how choosing Kristin as our planner (our first vendor booked after the venue) was the best decision we could have ever made, and I echo his sentiments 1,000x over. Kristin is a gift to her couples and the wedding world, and we are so grateful that out of all the possible vendors, we found her. Book Kristin Ridge Events now - you won’t regret it 😌

Melanie could quite truly be one of the most special humans on the planet. From the minute my husband and I started planning our wedding she was on board with us, and because of her every single item of our day was perfect. She helped us in every way, everything from a listening ear to helping us iron out contract details, Melanie was there. She always kept great notes on what we wanted, and made everything we were looking for happen. Melanie also was over seeing the whole set up and breakdown so nothing was missed, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her detailed eye. I honestly don’t have all of the words to proficiently say how incredible she is, but I do know that if you have her plan your wedding or event, you will be immensely grateful.

Karissa recently helped to plan and coordinate a Celebration service for a family member. Her expertise in event coordination was incredible - she thought through every detail of the event - from utilizing space and making it as beautiful as possible to efficient food service. She helped us make all attendees feel comfortable and cared for. It was such a gift to trust the details to her, both in the days leading up to the event and the event itself. I cannot speak highly enough of her expertise!

Choosing Details and Lace as the wedding planner for my daughter’s wedding was the best decision I could have made. Melanie will forever be a part of our hearts. She is nothing short of outstanding. She was first and foremost a calming source to my “nervous nelly personality” and the wheels behind planning the perfect wedding. She helped to create a fairytale that will always be the best day of my daughter’s life. From the moment we started planning she took the time to listen to our vision and since paid attention to every detail. She was patient, always sharing ideas while also accepting ours, attentive and all around a work horse. She went above and beyond to ensure the wedding was all we hoped and worked tirelessly to ensure our guests had an amazing experience. While we had a few hiccups along the way in the planning process (nothing on Melanie’s end), she was quick to find a solution, without showing the least bit of stress which again, calmed this mother of the bride down 😊 Being outside the Charlottesville area Melanie had to meet with me on many occasions to guide me. She always welcomed my visit and cleared her calendar to give me her undivided attention. Together we went the distance to find the perfect vendor team to create the most magical day. She has an abundance of connections in the industry and offered many options from décor vendors, transportation vendors, to venue choices for hosting our Welcome Drinks event and more. She without a doubt was instrumental in creating the perfect wedding weekend. I could go on and on, but I end with a final thought. Melanie is a top-notch wedding planner and will now be, forever a friend.
