Let me start out by saying I can't count the number of times before and after I got engaged that I said I would never get a wedding planner and could do it all myself with my mom (I laugh as I just typed that by the way). Well, that was until I met Cody Smith! As I began booking vendors, I continued to get asked who my wedding planner was and kept saying that I did not need one. They probably thought I was nuts. It wasn't until I booked my photographer that he explicitly told me I needed a wedding planner and the wedding planner I should hire was Cody Smith. That was hands down the best advice I received during the planning process. From our first call with Cody, we knew she was definitely our girl! As we began working with Cody, we loved everything about her. Cody is incredibly talented at what she does and on top of that is so kind and truly cares about you not as just a bride but as a person. Cody took every idea that we had for our wedding and brought it to a whole other level that I could never have imagined. The time she puts in, the detail, energy, and dedication that Cody brings makes you feel as if you are the only bride she is working with. Cody was exactly what I never knew I needed but can't describe how lucky and grateful I am to have had Cody as my wedding planner. Cody is so much more than just your wedding planner; she becomes your family. My wedding was the wedding of my dreams and perfect in every way. Cody Smith is truly the best wedding planner in the business! Throughout the entire planning process, I never felt stressed because I knew I had Cody by my side. I was worried that the planning process would be extremely stressful and I would not be able to enjoy it, but that was not the case at all because I had Cody. She helped me with absolutely everything and was always quick to respond, no matter when I reached out. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to answer all of my questions, even when I asked them more than once, meant so much to me. Our weekly meetings were always amazing, and I genuinely looked forward to them every week. My husband and I absolutely love Cody, and we could not have had the wedding day we always dreamed of without her. Not only is she an incredible wedding planner, but she is also a genuinely wonderful person who we are now so happy to call a friend. I love her so much, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. She is the best wedding planner EVER!

Cody was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Throughout the planning process, she met with us weekly over Zoom and was always kind, understanding, organized, responsive, and proactive. She had a massive spreadsheet and made sure every detail was taken care of and always followed through. She took the time to know us individually and as a couple and understood our vision completely. She made wedding planning easy, fun, and as stress free as it could be.

On our wedding day at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, Cody made everything feel completely seamless. She double-checked with every vendor (multiple times) and handled every detail and unexpected issue without us ever having to worry. She came prepared with an emergency kit for anything we could possibly need. When my dress ripped, one of her staff members fixed it, when I was nauseous, they gave me medicine, when my ring needed to be cleaned, they cleaned it. We had both a bridal attendant and groom attendant who were both personable and helpful, this was a blessing.

Cody truly went above and beyond to make sure we could relax and enjoy our day. She anticipates everything, has great ideas, but was also willing to adapt to what we wanted. Cody is very good at what she does and you can tell she's been doing it for a while. She's cultivated relationships with everyone in the industry. Fun fact: every venue we toured recommended her to us. She was the perfect fit and we are so grateful for everything she did and cannot recommend her enough! I will consider Cody Smith a friend forever and always champion her work.

I honestly put off writing this review because I have so many amazing things to say about working with Cody, I didn’t know how to fit it all into a few sentences. Hiring her was hands-down the best decision I made during wedding planning—second only to booking King Family Vineyards. If you want the best weekend of your life, start with those two things and everything else will fall into place.

My friends kept asking how I was so calm throughout the planning process, and the answer is simple: when you have a planner you trust with just about everything, it takes all the stress away and actually makes the whole experience fun. Cody is not only incredibly reasonable, but she consistently went above and beyond anything I expected.

I genuinely looked forward to our weekly calls (and I already miss them!), and every time I reached out with a question, she made me feel like I was her only client—even though I know she had a full plate. She’s fun, kind, incredibly organized, keeps everything on track, and has an incredible network of vendors. As my makeup artist perfectly put it, “Cody is like royalty when it comes to wedding planners.”
